  • This may well be the single greatest piece of computer game music of all time.

And no, I don't say that lightly.

  • sounds like a love song at 0:53 LOL

  • porn ballad \o/

  • 0:55 IS EPIC

  • Great song! Reminds me that 80's softcore porns =D

  • As I watched the GDI endgame movie where this music was heard, I can vividly recall a NOD base at 0:55 .

A commando team had infiltrated, shut down the power and all the base's instillations went off line... The Radar dish strugled to stay up... laser fences flickered and vanished. Darkness set in as the dark crimson hue, the one so very characteristic of every nod base, died down.

    Reminds me of:

"A slow and silent, distant defeat."

I remember that -was so VIVID

  • does anyone know what instrument he is playing during the refrain? To me it sounds like it could be an air guitarre but im probably wrong. whatever it is it fucking rocks!

  • @bearpuncher21

Air guitars don't make any sound at all; they're 'made' of air and don't physically exist.

But it is either an electric guitar, or a very convincing synth.

  • @BaronOfStuff Lol, I used to sell guitars, had a female customer try and buy an 'air' guitar for her son. What a laugh!

  • @BaronOfStuff Probably a very convincing synth, although the artist plays guitar. You forget that Frank Klepacki is a genius.

  • not WAR ,but this MUSIC ,I LIKE <3

  • still don't understand how can i get an airstrike with three planes at the same time?

  • The CnC Tiberian Dawn and Tiberian Sun always had the best atmosphere to them. One of the reasons I still play those games and not the new ones... one of the reasons why I keep on modding those games and creating campaigns and mods.

  • @TheTwilightUnicorn where could i get mods for tiberian sun?

i have looked and looked....can't find any

  • @starwarsfan117

    h t t p : / /

    w - w w .

    m o d d b .

    c o m /

    g a m e s /

    c c - t i b e r i a n - s u n

Be sure to delete the gaps between the letters, and the minus in the between of the three W letters. Youtube has some sort of advanced protection against posting urls using comments.

Hope you find what you're looking for, mate.

  • @TheTwilightUnicorn thanks mate

  • @starwarsfan117 Happy to help.

  • Since when did GDI get 4 aircraft at once?

  • That plane looks like Mockey Mouse. XD

  • @TheDutchGame You never seen an A-10 Warthog before?

  • @Pyrosity Yes and I thought they looked like Mickey Mouse. (It's the engines on top, they're like the ears)

  • @TheDutchGame So Mickey Mouse does pack a GAU-8 these days...Knew it.

  • @Pyrosity Yup, get your Gatlings and RPG's ready. Tha Mouse is incoming!

  • Thats why i like CNC. It's always seemed like a pointless War thats been going on for years just because GDI & Nod can't come to an agreement with Tiberium.

  • This one reminds of me what war is.... it's about time we got rid of it.... it's estimated that 15 billion people have died in wars over human history. This song kind of sums it up doesn't it? What has war given us? More powerful weapons to kill more of ourselves,.

With nukes, biological weapons and now even particle weapons, we cannot keep fighting each other anymore. It will end us and our planet.... so let this, be the last airstrike.

    Peace

  • @SVWillmer. If you hate war so much then maybe C&C isn't for you.

  • @AunaforcePA

    You wouldn't understand.

  • @SVWillmer He's just trying to prove a point.

  • @EggManStudio It's not a very good "point".

  • @AunaforcePA if you ''play'' a war on a PC then its fun. if theres a REAL war, then that isnt fun. capisce?

  • @ArcticSledgeTank unless u pown them n00bs at life :D jokes ^^

  • @ArcticSledgeTank He's just trying to prove a point.

  • @AunaforcePA I hate war yet I love C&C. There's a difference between pixels shooting each other on a computer monitor and real men and women being killed. You not being able to understand the difference is astonishing.

  • @SVWillmer

Wars have acted as catalysts for scientific advancement in many fields, not just weaponology. Many breakthroughs/advancements in medicine.. transportation.. communication were a direct result of research made by warring nations trying to gain an advantage.

Although I agree we can't afford to use some of the weapons we have now, though they make good movies.

  • @mfruit1 It's still not worth it. All those technological advancements could have easily been made without war. Granted war did speed them up, it's still very much possible to get the same results without people dying.

  • this is either a song to be drunk/high too, or have slow awesome sex too.

  • God this is one of those kinda songs. its like finishing cnc or the feeling you get at the end of the summer. its happy but also sad because it will end. But it will eventually return

  • such a good song makes me want to play the orginal now... hail C&C!

  • ahh so relaxing :)

  • This makes me a bit sad :( lol. Westwood should be doing cnc. Well tiberian dawn has great music :D

  • This remind anyone else of "Rain in the night"?

  • 00:57 - the guitar! F*cking awesome melody!

  • @ephrodite1 I love this song so much just because of this part.

  • This music is so... "Get your groove on, babe, we gon' ride hard"...

  • check this music

    watch?v=oWkYbLPCS5Y

  • wasnt this the end track for the GDI?

  • @AMOKfaction Yes

  • I love this song, its good to listen to this after going so far!

  • Very, very nostalgic.

It's hard finding a game that has this kind of music with this level of awesomeness anymore...

  • Lol I fell asleep hearing this song for the first time. (but I was 4 then :P)

  • a10s

  • One day I put this song on, and like 10 secs after, I got a napalm airstrike, I laughed hard ;).

  • The background looks like the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon.

  • @Sleepy1988 Westwood probably took the pic from there, but story wise it is set in Europe somewhere.

  • @Sleepy, it is the gorge : )

  • This song actually impacted me whenever I heard it on the N64. It's the only song on a video game that has ever caught me on my ass. I remember putting this track on repeat, pressing the pause button, and just chilling to the beat and synth-sounds..

  • @SteveLee555 Suck on your dick!

  • The Flames... at the credits... This song always reminds me of them since the Flames tell a deep and regretful story indeed... T_T

  • "We won..... It's over........"

It's these kinds of credit songs that make you feel the victory of winning the war, and the defeat of the lives lost.

  • this is the song to listen to after giving to years of my youth to the fucking national service.

  • This version is ok, but not better than the one on n64. The original is always better i like the version too!

  • God I remember when I beat Tiberian Dawn and this song came on. Honestly, I nearly cried. Few Games and few game songs have ever gotten that response from me. This game has one of the best endings of all time!

In fact, Tiberian Dawn was one of the best games of all time!

Only ones to ever come close are:

    Half Life 1 Ending/Music

    StarCraft Ending/Music

    Halo Ending/Music

  • @lamesurfer101

Try Planescape Torment, you'll cry after you completed the game, I can assure you of that :)

  • very very 90's (i like it)

  • this song is good....but nothing beats the original one

  • this song fits perfectly into the transformers movie, like the airbase and what not.

  • 1900s was the era yo!!

  • Also, for those keen listeners, this song has a segment (early on in the song) that has a segment that can be found in "No Mercy", RA's "Hell March" (originally meant as a score for Nod in "Covert Operations")(better heard in the end of HM2 and HM3) and the Credits of Red Alert. An indication that the games were meant to be connected.

  • It's at 1:23 to about 1:33. That tune pops up a bit in Tiberian Sun too. It's in a few of the songs Frank Klepaki wrote.

  • Yea, I've noticed that whenever I listen to this song O.o

  • Gives the feeling: "we won, but at what costs?"

  • +a million

  • As I watched the GDI endgame movie where this music was heard, I can vividly recall a NOD base at 0:55 .

A commando team had infiltrated, shut down the power and all the base's instillations went off line... The Radar dish strugled to stay up... laser fences flickered and vanished. Darkness set in as the dark crimson hue, the one so very characteristic of every nod base, died down.

    Reminds me of:

"A slow and silent, distant defeat."

  • That second last note of the melody at 2:24 always manages to make my hair stand up straight also. ^^

  • I remember that too distantly. I have C&C gold with all of the cut scenes . Currently on GDI 9 (after nearly 15 years) and it's a bitch too because it's the first one NOD gets the Obelisk.

  • my feeling on this song was 'peace at what price'. Especially after you get the briefing from shepard, who looked like he was dying of exhaustion.

peace is restored... now we have to collect up all the bodies...kind of feeling?

  • @warjunky444 Well, simply, that price is war.

  • most atmospheric song of a game ever!

I felt realy sad having finished the game and watching the last vid

  • Feels like "peace is restored, it's over...i hope..."

  • more like, let's pur down some shots of Brandy before we all get murdered

  • lol exactly xD

  • "Pyrrhic Victory" would be an appropriate title for this song.

  • i cried when i completed tiberian dawn -_- it was a fun RTS game

  • This sounds similar to works from either Joe Satriani or Eric Johnson.

  • Enemy aircraft detected.

  • its a totally different vibe when it's not the credits with the NOD base shutting down, the underwater bits, that little news report.... what else? I'm callin this up all on the top of my head

  • YEP!

    YAY, I FOUND IT

HERE's the VID, from the GDI campaign where thias song played, GDI ENGING

youtube link has this in it, search it, and walla! v=pc6YKDuqZRU

you're pretty good, good memory man

  • ive FOUND IT

ATHIS SONG played AT THE END OF THE CRIDITS..

    GDI endng, and MAYBE NOD

i remember the GDI finish, after everything, when the CRIEDITS rolle,d it showed the nod base powering down, the laser FENCES( first EVER PEEK AT THEM)

    THE RADAR dish dropping-

    - and this was imbrained into my head

so when renegade was coming out, i friggin flipped, and WANTED BADLY to get to walk around, with that music playing- it didn't happen, but TS and FS were what was 2 come- epic games

  • Nod end song:

    I am - Times

  • thx

  • Anyone know where I can get that pic of the A-10?

  • this music sounds guilty.

  • yeah dude. hahah it sounds guilty.

  • God I love this track. So peaceful (with some good bursts of music) and a great ending theme.

    I could fall asleep.....

  • Hyvä hapokas!!!!!!

  • it sounds so peaceful. makes me feel like sunset at the beach

  • can anyone help me out. i've tried and tried, but this song never cmes up on limewire. any suggestions for titles to type etc.

  • extract with xcc tools

  • Ah! How I love this song! It makes me think of sunset in a windy summer day. It makes me feel alive!

  • It makes me think of a beautiful forest at night that is lit by moonlight <3

  • this brings me back good times with CNC tiberian dawn

  • unforgettable good times

  • I played C&C 95 several times, on pc& N64! And this song is clearly in the game, exactly as it is in this vid! :)

  • reminds me of 1 of the tracks from Halo

  • All you are wrong,on 0:58 its like BladeRunner music

  • That A10 is flying kinda low don´t you think?

  • The song is from td, but that plane is from RA, is it not?

  • nope its from cnc not red alert

  • Alright.

  • supersonic planes can fly lower than that.

  • True, they can. But the A-10 Warthog has never been known for speed, but more it's durabilty

  • I know, I was just saying that in comparison with a supersonic plane's capability to fly at such low altitudes, this is nothing.

  • This is one of the best songs from C&C - if not THE best song.

  • wish i was 1 of those air plane pilots and hade this music on flying there looks great

  • I found this as a gameplay track in CNC for the N64

  • I love this song... but this isnt´t called "airstrike", it´s name is "GDI ending".

    Thanks for uploading m8

  • It is Air Strike. Check Klepacki's site.

  • If there were to be a cnc movie, this should totally be the credits, and as i recall this was the credits music in tib dawn...

  • i hope they will assome machines batteling each other and dont forget KANE HES A GREAT ACTOR EVEN THAT I HATE HIM (in the game)

  • hmmm i don't remember this music.

BTW where did you find all the musics i can't find them anywhere and they are all soooo cool

  • this plays during the credits

  • how made it?Frank Klepacki

    ?

  • yea, he made all the music for td, ts, fs, ra, ra2, and yr. lol, a lot of acronyms, but any cnc fan knows them all!

  • From what I remember of C&C this music was used in the GDI end video when it shows an excavation of the temple of Nod. I think they used from 0:30 through to 2:10.

What a useless piece of trivia to remember...

  • I just love the whole soundtrack! One of the best ever done in a game! It just fits!

  • sound like no mercy

  • not at all :)

  • For some reason, whenever I hear this song I think of early mornings.

  • this makes me think of sunset -_-

  • This song really fit the GDI credits, it really gives the feel of "its over".

  • Very moody. I think i know why it's called Airstrike. Well, it sounds first mysterious, if you can't know is it hostile. And then suddendly at 0:26, it changes into "attack"

I don't know about rest of song, but it's probably trying to achive "wilderness"

  • Beautiful view.

  • where I can download this music?

    someone reply me please!

  • try using vdownloader

  • thx dude!

  • I LOVE YOU!

  • Ah, good old CnC. I think this song was played when the credits were rolling when you completed the game? :P Anyway, great song. Been searching for it for a while. :(

  • the first 30 seconds kind of remind me of a james bond song..

  • why not? Is was this song and act on instinct that made TS music.

  • brings me back to the good old days

  • Amazing song. I have it on mp3.

  • how?

  • I really love this song, it's so calm and beautiful. Perfect.

  • The title always confused me, since this song struck me as rather peaceful for something called 'Airstrike'.

  • There is a credits that shows the Flames from the Airstrike and it tells a story if one can listen well enough to the song and it makes perfect sense what the story is. :)

  • this song is the essence of the CnC series.

  • god i love this song its the bomb!! olso like mecanical man danm brings back some good memmories. plese get mechanical man has wel

  • well in the thirth gdi mission the a.10 warthog ground support aircraft is the ultimate superweapon!

  • reminds me very much of James Bond
