Its seems Ironic if not hypocritical that some people would like to receive Government funding for their MILITARY contracts through socialism but when it comes to feeding the poor and education seem appalled by the concept. Newt Gingrich is a Carl Rove inspired creation. His arrogant views and self righteous indignation are repulsive and demeaning to any rational person. Gingrich's pledge of allegiance to Israel should be all any one needs to know of his treacherous intentions.
Well then you and a handful of your friends are the only people in the nation that have credibility.
(Yeah right, we both know what you REALLY dislike here is the phrase "typical Liberal". You couldn't care less about the phrase "typical Conservative" unless it is to actually use it yourself, or some approximate equivalent of it).
Actually most do, that is why newspapers, magazines, individuals talk about the opinions, convictions and preferences of "Conservatives" and "Liberals" (the word "typical" is simply the adjective form of the word "type" as in, for example "ideological type" in this case). Now stop talking out of of your a**.
@Aphoresis You weren't making a distinction based on ideology. The difference between saying "The typical conservative believes in lower taxes" and "the typical conservative doesn't like their opinions challanged" is obvious.
I WAS making a distinction based on Ideology. Look at the application of Liberalism in American Universities in the area of speech conduct, (on gender, sexual preference, race etc) or for that matter, in the construction of law in Europe within the same realm where there is actually "anti-hate speech law" (the first amendment as we know prevents the existence of such legislation here). Western Europe is ofcourse ground zero for, and the cutting edge of Liberalism.
@Aphoresis What conclusions you can draw from following such logic! What assumptions do you think I could make about all conservatives in this country considering extreme right-wing examples around the world? How many examples of telling people what they can or can't say do you think I would find from conservatives in this nations past? The possabilities are both endless and absurd. At least I recognize that.
Extreme right wing examples around the world that DIRECTLY inform American Conservatism and who's thinkers are incorporated into it's syllabus? We are not talking about examples that are considered "extreme" by international standards, I am talking about the MAINSTREAM intellectual and legal culture of Western Europe.
The examples I suspect you have in mind when you refer to global "right wing extremism" would probably be the equivalent of me bringing communists like Castro and Chavez (on the far far left) into the convo, which I never did, because as you suggest it would be absurd.
@Aphoresis To whatever degree you desire, the intellectual and legal cultures of Western Europe or any other culture are exactly that. They make decisions formed in the circumstances and idioms of their society. Plus there are multiple factions in every politicle culture that vary extremely widely. For example, if you were to hold up an Obama sign at an Occupy Wall Street rally you'd get boo'd out of the crowd. They have much more in common with Ron Paul who's even farther to the right.
They are not exactly that, they constitute a culture and an idiom that encompasses the whole of the Western intellectual world (on the left) which was my original point. As I mentioned, these same speech codes CAN be observed in American Universities (justified by the same rhetoric) . The field of law divides the left in the two societies because the U.S. unlike these countries, has a first amendment.
@Aphoresis Like I said before, give me an example of liberals stifling sppech and I'll give you an example of conservatives doing the same. It's a result of human nature, not ideology.
I am not talking about isolated examples in either case, I am talking about actual ideological principles that explicitly call for the stifling of certain kinds of speech in the former case. An actual thriving literature that justifies it.
That's right. These "oh so clever" GOP candidates have waded in thinking this was a legitimate way to find the best candidate. It's been a butchering match staged from beginning to end, that has decimated what was left of a sad and pathetic party lost in the 50s of their delusions of grandeur. We are hated by most every country.
What is unfolding in finance will destroy any remnant of respect we have. We are a gluttonous and thieving pack of liars, and Newt will lead the pack showing his ass.
88donja wrote: "But, again, you missed the point. I said it was wrong for Newt to single out African-Americans when he spoke out welfare.. as if African-Americans are the only recipients.........Here is the clip /watch?v=DcdSrbB9sCY"
The big lie is "as if African-Americans are the only recipients" Check out the clip and see. Newt clearly doesn't imply blacks are the only recipients.
88donja is a lying propagandist. The clip proves it. See the clip that proves 88donja is lying piece of $#!T.
Newt's message is not reality, but what southerns want to hear. They have a black president. The valedictorian of their kids school is middle eastern. The middle class black kid beat their son for 1st string quarterback. The Harvard black guy got the promotion. The Asian kid scored higher on the SAT.
So they cling to the stereotypical image that they see on cops, knowing that the clock is ticking. Their way of life of privilege is no longer valid.
The discussion was direct to the topic..... check out his link and what he said. It is right on point. Only, like Juan Williams, 88donja is trying to paint a picture of a bigoted Newt, only he doesn't have anything to paint that picture with either.
I hope this helps to allow you to play catch-up in a very heated discussion.
Like many, I DESPISE people claiming non-bigoted people are bigots. Most of the time it is THEY who see skin-color and not the other way 'round.
@mollesjohn I don't see anything bigoted either about what Newt said but you never know with these people....any how he should be including all young & poor people not just singling out minorities in his discussion overall. He tried to deflect the question by bringing up his child into the equation, when in reality he should've made that point in the beginning. Its hard for me to take these politically establish power hungry families seriously when it comes to the working class.
I don't know where you are from, but I've been a lot of places. Right now I'm near the inner city, and I can tell you this is where most people ARE minorities, and where MOST people lack the work ethic (in leiu of an entitlement ethic) Newt talks about. You want to fix the problem where the problem exists most, and it's just a fact that the problems exist most where there happen to be minorities. It's just a consequence of city life, not any minorities' fault.
@mollesjohn Your argument is dumb of course you see more problems if you live in the inner city. Its not the suburbs people don't own their on homes nor do they live in an environment where living conditions are suitable for raising families. If I live in the Trailer parks where allot of poor white families live in the South & all I see is poor work ethic, crime, prostitution etc. Should my view of Whites reflect the environment I live in. Racism exist where their is Whites. Fix that
@mollesjohn Stop mouthing off your opinions to me because I don't give a fuck, I'm well off, educated and successful....your stereotypical views hold no weight on my reality because it isn't mines. You can reply to me a thousand times, I have my view you have yours....my point isn't going to change from the first post you can argue who's view is right all you like. My opinions is mines alone so go the fuck else where with this nonsensical verbal squabble.
First of all, you are not well educated. Your use of the English language, if that is what you are attempting to write, is abysmal. It's so bad in fact I don't know how or what to reply to as I can't derive a cohesive argument anywhere in your last two posts.
And you claim arguments won't change your views. Well, I can proudly say good arguments change mine. I suppose unlike you I wasn't born perfect, but as I am ever striving to be perfect I make adjustments.
@mollesjohn No first of all proof read your damn sentences before you discuss the English Language...The English language itself comes from England so in reality Americans only speak a dialect form of it. Not consider proper by the English standards.. First Fail. Obviously you give a fuck seeing as you're still debating an old topic, given ignorant nonsensical commentary in the process. Please get a real job and leave all this youtube verbal fighting to the kids.
@Mikemallow2007 For someone who is"educated" u obviously are not knowledgeable enough to have acknowledge(since u used it twice)that"mines"is grammatically INCORRECT! So what ever you debated about with that guy, MollesJohn, leads me to believe, you didn't understand what he was trying to point out.My issue is with ur horrible grammar lol Mr."Educated" BTW the word"Mine" can stand-in for any noun, countable,plural,or uncountable. so in other words..there is no "S" in mine. #Fool
@mollesjohn Let it go lol that dummy isn't going to get what ur saying and by the time u read this John, he's going to be angry with what I just told him. lol.
This debate reflected most poorly on the audience which was quite disgraceful almost celebrating they're ignorance. Juan was on O'reily tonight and he could feel the hate coming from behind him as Next race-baited them. You have to ask what kind of party attracts and caters to such an audience.
if none of yall is willing to recognize racism when its looking u in the face "like Newt just did" then the country is clearly doomed.....play stupid if u like, but anybody with the understanding of common sense can clearly see Newt is a racist an anyone that cant see that is a undercover RACIST!....and black ppl know now "as we always have known" u aint got the BALLS to say it.....an for the record "u Newt fans" THEIRS MORE WHITE PPL ON FOODSTAMPS THEN ANY OUR RACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And.... if anyone wants to see what a propagandist's youtube page looks like, well, a really LAZY propagandist's youtube page looks like, link to 88donja's. He didn't even take the time to make a false personality -- now THAT is laziness... LOL
88donja felt the need to character assassinate Newt but failed miserably because his evidence helped vindicate Newt rather than vilify him, and at the same time exposed himself as a propagandist like Juan Williams, only a less articulate and creative one.
What people like 88donja and Juan Williams so clearly fail to grasp is how obvious their bigotry appear to people who aren't suffering from prejudice.
@mollesjohn Nope. Once again, you are wrong. You know you are wrong yet still you go around like you are right. If I am wrong, prove it. Show me that Newt didn't single out black people in the link I provided. In the link I provided, he did. But as I said, you are hardheaded.
Again, notice last time I asked you to prove how I was wrong. Yet, you have not...
You are the one with no shame.. notice how you twist and deviate from the topic.. I stay on topic. FACT - In the link I provided, Newt singled out blacks and welfare.
I'll let you PRETEND you don't know what you yourself said. We've been around this block before and you well know it. But since you are already an established liar, pretending you don't know what the issue was we were discussing is just a small lie added to your bigger one.
Actually, scrolling your lost case down in the comments is about the smartest thing you done up to this point. You can now add "troll" to your resumé. Before now, you were just a known liar. Congrats!
@mollesjohn LOL I am sorry, but you are the funniest person I have ever met... Once again, you have deviated from the argument and have not addressed the issue.. Yeah, I think people with a brain know who is telling the truth.. so continue shutting liar because that won't change the fact that what I was correct. :D
We covered the issue... well, I thought WE did... I guess your meds were working all too well and you forgot everything inside of 24 hours... ah well.
You are correct about one thing. You are sorry. Most trolls are sorry pathetic things. Why not repost your original post that has the link and let people decide for themselves whether you are a pathetic lying troll or not... especially in light of these last messages you are sending? How about it you lying piece of %*#$?
@mollesjohn Once again, you deviate and sidestep. And, WOW, look at the names you are calling me. Nice! Keep it classy, mollesjohn. Keep it classy. This speaks volumes about you. Want the link, here it is /watch?v=DcdSrbB9sCY
Now, would a so-called "troll" do that?
Anyways, as I said, keep it classy--it speaks volumes about you.
Now you're taking yourself out-of-context... well, you have to because you're desperate...
Anyone that read your original post and viewed the video you used for proof would know you lied... -- I've seen the technique done literally dozens of times -- a person makes a claim then gives a reference, and if anyone takes the time to use the reference finds out the original claim isn't true. But propagandists like you bank on the fact that few actually check a reference. I do.
Okay... now I am laughing because like me, you've lived in America for more than a few years and have noticed a few things like DC has been a mess for a long time. I keep hope because I see opportunities to correct it. If we are stepping forward, of late it does seem we just made about a dozen steps backward with this Marxist President.
We desperately need RESPONSIBLE voters. The internet could be a tool for educating the electorate but so far this hasn't happened. I think it will.
Teens aren't being hired these days but I guess when your rich you become out of touch with the real world. Take a look around Newt there are very little jobs. Some highly educated people all around this country are out of work on food stamps. Tell these people to their faces that they don't want to work, oh wait you may get beat down. Get in touch with what is going on. Not your fantasy world of paid speeches, money from giving business political access, and tons of money from other Republicans
You STILL don't get Newt's message after all this time?
Let me spell it out for you:
People are out of work BECAUSE of Obama's anti-energy high-tax(and spend) policies. Obama has tried from the get-go to put people out of work in the private sector so he (Obama) can save the day by GIVING them government jobs in exchange for votes. THAT is why Obama is the food-stamp President. It was Obama that PUT them on food stamps, like that is a good thing.
@mollesjohn Oh are we choosing to forget that most of the people out of work were out of work at the end of the Bush era. Also choosing to forget that most of the damage done in this country is by the House and Senate not by the President. The President can only do so much, that's how the system was set up. Failure or success of a President is determined by the House ans Senate. As far as food stamps and people being on government programs that's been happening for a long time.
@blackdiamond1970 That is a cop-out to try and put this on Bush or congress. Obama has made things worse with loads of regulations and failed policies, yet with the media in his corner it all gets glossed over. The Pres had 2 years with a Democratic House and Senate; that got us failed stimulus and health care bills. Now the house passed over 20 bills that would help the economy and the senate won't take them up. This presidency is a failure. Anybody but Obama for president!
@ezedlovr1 I'm so sorry to inform of exactly how things work but nothing that is done in this country happens without the House and Senate's approval. Funds for programs are granted, a President cannot fund anything without the okay. Regulations are made through the agencies that a issue belongs to. An agency has the power 2 reject a regulation. The problem is that none of the people that need 2 say no are. The health care bills have been picked apart by the courts. Bush's 1st stimulus failed 2.
@blackdiamond1970 Oh to clear something up as well. I'm not a Republican or Democrat. I think both parties are self centered, greedy, power hungry, and damaging to this country. Their stupid fighting and arguing has gotten us no where. Whether Obama or one of the Republicans get elected nothing is going to get better.
You're wrong... go back and look at the stats. Unemployment was VERY low during the Bush years. Your prejudice is absolutely clouding some very hard facts. Check it out... you'll see you aren't at all correct on the employment numbers.
@mollesjohn The first uptick of unemployment was at the end of the Bush era. I didn't say he was responsible. So don't get defensive. Also the truth is not always what it appears. Different articles and polls are done by different people with different agendas. I can tell your a hard core Republican so anything said about Republicans is going to be wrong. Recognize this none of the recent Presidents have done anything that helps us in the future.
Well, Frank and Dodd had a LOT to do with blowing up the housing bubble and Bush tried to stop it but when Frank played the race card against Bush, Bush backed off. Had Bush done the right thing, it would have been complete and utter political suicide for the Republican Party. People don't often look back and break down what would had Bush succeeded in exposing the corruption at Fannie and Freddie. He did try.
@mollesjohn The sad thing about the housing bubble was the greed that drove it. Too many people took advantage of the rules without any sense of responsibility to what they knew was going to happen. Both Bush and Obama have taken blame for the housing mess which has been unfair to the both of them.
@blackdiamond1970 Actually, the Clinton administration should bear a lot of the blame. They repealed the Glass-Steagal Act during the Clinton years. 1999 to be exact. This deregulated the banking industry. See, that's what these clowns in Washington failed to understand. They passed the Glass-Steagal law many years ago to prevent the very thing that has happened. Investment banks have no business dealing in mortgages, and commercial banks and savings and loans should not handle derivatives.
Free market capitalism is the cure. Cut spending, lower taxes, promise economic stability under these conditions and follow through, then build a couple dozen nuclear powerplants while drilling for oil and natural gas and at the same time build a dozen refineries and this country would economically explode (in a good way) as well as put everyone back to work.
Every capitalist understands this. Every conservative understands this. Obama IS the problem.
@mollesjohn If we go on a binge and use our natural resources there will be one truth 2 happen we'll still be dependent on fossil fuel. Eventually fossil fuel will run dry and something else will have 2 be done. However I guess for most people it's a good idea 2 live in the moment and not in our children's future. Also when new plants are built the nasty effect of passing cost onto customers will occur. With everything continuing 2 increase in price without salaries increasing means lack of
@blackdiamond1970 spending. Our main problems are spending and lack of loans. Business has settled into a way of thinking that doing more with less is the way to go. More work with less employees is the future in the business world. Big business is making it's money and aren't going to spend extra money to help the public.
Business can't possibly make any money unless they offer something the public truly wants. But you knew that as your teachers explained to you the beauty and symmetry of capitalism and why it is a self-correcting mechanism.
Wait a minute... no they didn't. They get paid with taxpayer dollars so they want socialism, and so they try to convince their students socialism works. Frankly, it doesn't. In fact, we should fire their asses and open private schools.
Nothing at all wrong with fossil fuel. I live in L.A. where they cleaned up the air drastically in a basin where the air is mostly stagnant due to surrounding mountains. Everywhere else I've lived doesn't have this geography problem coupled with very low precipitation. Fact is, we've solved our problem in a worse case scenario. Nothing at all wrong with fossil fuels.
That said, I do like electricity, so lets build LOTS of nuclear plants.
@DRisLegend200919 I'm sorry to tell you but Ron Paul is not the answer either. None of these candidates will make anything better. Politics have been become a breeding ground for arguments, fights, and personal satisfaction. Unfortunately there needs to be an end to the two party system running this country. I hope that people in the United States truly realize that what's happening in politics is not right. However by listening no one is ready to change the system, only continue to fighting.
@DRisLegend200919 I really do believe something like that needs to happen. However money rules politics and the Republicans and Democrats have all the money. On top of that the general public gets off on fighting one another about what party is right. The parties continue to use the people of the United States to carry on their hate and most people have no idea their being used to continue the nonsense.
Liberal and decadent media commentators prefer Romney to get the nomination because their patron, Obama, can easily trample him. They fear and therefore smoothly attack Gingrich, because with Newt, they are sure that their rotten decadent happy days will be finished! America, wake up! Have mercy on your national soul with Obama or Romney!
Why on earth are these GOP candidates stupid enough to participate in debates moderated by leftist swill such as Williams and Stephanopolous, but afraid of letting Trump moderate one?
Some might see this exchange as reflecting poorly on Juan but Newt's and the audience reaction were at best dismissive which underscored the problem with the GOP's overall view of race which is to avoid it all together or cry foul when someone like Juan asks a reasonable question. Ironic that the celebratory cheers are merely cementing this idea and turning off alot of folks.
In 2000, Gingrich married Bisek shortly after his divorce from second wife Ginther was finalized. He and Callista currently live in McLean, Virginia.[149] In a 2011 interview with David Brody of the Christian Broadcasting Network, Gingrich addressed his past infidelities by saying, "There's no question at times in my life, partially driven by how passionately I felt about this country, that I worked too hard and things happened in my life that were not appropriate.
"In 1981, six months after the divorce from Battley (who had cancer) was final, Gingrich wed 2nd wife Marianne Ginther. In the mid-1990s, Gingrich began an affair with House of Representatives staffer Callista Bisek, who is 23 years his junior. They continued their affair during the Lewinsky scandal, when Gingrich became a leader of the investigation of President Clinton for perjury and obstruction of justice in connection with Clinton's alleged affairs."
Black folks please wake up! While you were sleeping the last 40 years and voting democratic lets see what has changed for us... Not a motherf*#@ing thing! We still have more on welfare, more in prison and more in poverty when look at percentage to our population. 11 million abortions in our communities and we keep blaming the rich republicans for all the problems. Put family first, fix your own damn house and educate yourselves or you can let the dems do it for you.
:-) We all learn this eventually, whether we want to or not, but it's inspiring you can pick this up from others (parents perhaps?) then do your own research and verify it. It's not easy these days when Google and Youtube have biased searches, but as you know, the information is out there if people would look.
@88donja Obviously you're trying to hide your liberalism with your ever changing comments. As a black man I want you to consider this: Over 90% of blacks are democrats vs 70% hispanic and less than 50% whites. Do you think we're the smarter ones? With more in prison, more dropouts, more on welfare (all per population) of course. Brainwashed comes to mind...
@ezedlovr1 Of course, some of them are brainwashed. That is why I am an independent.....Plus, some of them never vote R for certain reasons; reasons I guess you will never understand...
How can you support a party for some long and things don't change?
And, sorry, I can't help but laugh at the fact that you think I am liberal, when I clearly said I am not.... But if it makes you happy, then continue thinking that... I know what I am...
@88donja Some of them? Over 90% percent and 98% voted for Obama. Saying you're independent doesn't hold water really. Barry said a lot and look at his words now. I was once one of them then I educated myself on our real history. If you educate yourself you would know the Democrats have never been friends of blacks and never will be.
OUR PROBLEM: Old people are conditioned to GovernMental FCC controlled TV(lame stream media), what they are feed/FED they have to eat, mainly war propaganda. Young people the informative internet leavening it up to young Americans to educate our elders how the biased media SELECT’s there next Pimp I mean president for them. A clear indication is if they can tell you who is unelectable before people even vote they can tell you who’s your next PIMP, Wake up, Americas under siege !
Fox News delivering good questions and bravo to Newt for fielding the questions well. I like Juan Williams and I am glad he brought this issue up, because further clarification by Newt would cement his already strong position on the issue of personal responsibility and initiative.
Nobody cared when Obama was celebrating the death of Bin Laden on May 5-Cinco de Mayo, however screamed about GOP having a debate on MLK Day! This is why many of us will NOT vote for Obama, he doesn't care about any of us, its always about blacks!
Notice the left is playing the race card heavily in 2012? Juan wrote several articles about race on The Hill and Politico. Barack and Michelle have invoked race with their "people who don't look like you" comments to majority black audiences. Eric Holder invoking MLK at a SC event about voting ID laws. Valerie Jarrett pushing the race card and Ebenezer Baptist Church (MLK's church) and attacking Republicans.
They can't defend Obama or his failed record. Race is all the left has to stand on.
You are correct, this race issue in regards to ONLY Blacks, is starting to anger many Hispanics, Iranian born Americans, this time it if race is overly used, it will backfire!
@NCMan28025 well you have to wonder if Newt or Romney would be against PIPA, SOPA, the TSA the Patriot Act or the Homeland Security act.
turns out that all these fake left/right stooges are turning your country into a fascist state. The only guy who's on the side of the American People is ...
Juan Williams crapped all over Martin Luther King today when he repeatedly looked to skin color instead of character... and Juan didn't do it once or twice, but at least a half a dozen times.
You know what a bigot is? It's someone who sees skin color FIRST and LAST, and sees all the other issues following after. Juan Williams is a BIGOT and just exactly the kind of person Martin Luther King was marching AGAINST.
I know the principle behind MLK and that's better than knowing the man. I've lived it and MLK held out the key to solving bigotry but alas, people like Juan Williams and Barack Obama knocked it out of MLK's hands and laughed then went on to focus on the color of the skin and ignore the content of character, or argument, or anything that got in the way of their own personal bigotry. Yes, I know EXACTLY what Martin Luther King said and meant, because what he said WORKS!
Only people which question Obamas policies seem belittling in their eyes because it speaks to the heart of one owns character and explains a culture which dependent upon and made the system work for them. It would mean the checks would thus stop coming.
@Hypnonon WHO THE F*** ARE THE BLACKS......THATS THE UNDERCOVER RACIST SH*T THE COUNTRY IS TALKING ABOUT, AN ONCE AGAIN....U "JUST LIKE THE REST" DONT HAVE THE BALLS TO SAY WHAT U REALLY WANT TO SAY.....THE BLACKS, WHO THE F*** TALKS LIKE THAT IN THE YEAR 2012......
LOL! It is funny seeing all the comments on here. I mean, clearly, you all missed the point. Then again you all must be white and never experienced any true discrimination in your life.
Yep, the GOP will surely remain the white man's party. Keep it up...
@88donja The POINT is that success requires hard work and learning responsibility at an early age. With hard work and responsibility one can overcome discrimination. Sitting home feeling sorry for oneself while demanding slavery reparations only compounds the problem.
@colony14 Who was talking about slavery reparations?? I see where your mind is...
Anyways, the point is that Newt singled out blacks when he made that comment, implying that blacks are the only ones like that. There are more whites on welfare... Now, if he had said poor people, then no problem... As for the rest, of course, how else can one expect to be successful if they don't work?? Get it now???????
@colony14 I am talking about the one where he said blacks..... look it up. He was in N.H. Now, unless the video clip I saw was edited, then I am wrong. But I highly doubt it was edited... so, yeah...................................
@88donja It is irrelevant. Newt's statements are correct, whether the poor person is black or white. Young poor people need jobs and they need how to accept responsibility or they will never get anywhere in life. Why are people afraid to say that poor people need to improve their work ethic?
@colony14 Young poor people need jobs ... Of Course!
Why are people afraid to say that poor people need to improve their work ethic? - Well, incase you didn't know, poor people have great work ethic; they work many jobs.. I guess the main reason they are people is because of poor education or something else.
But, again, you missed the point. As I said, he singled out blacks, as if blacks are the cause of all the problems.
@88donja Do some research on Obama and Charles Ogletree. The two see almost eye to eye on the issue of reparations; they differ only on how to go about accomplishing it.
@88donja Like Juan William, you imply too much. Poor kids in poor neighborhoods doesn't only refer to poor black children. Juan, and idiots like you, invoke race because its the only card that can be used to stop debate. You may want to google search Newt's comment because he NEVER used the words poor black children.
@NCMan28025 I just love your reply. Anyways, I was only talking about the part where Newt singled out blacks.If you want the clip, here it is /watch?v=DcdSrbB9sCY
Now, unless that was edited, I am quite sure he said black....
Anyways, I just love the name calling, too. Keep it classy....
Now, remember, I am not talking about the part where he mentions poor kids getting jobs... I am talking about the fact that he singled blacks and welfare....
And colony14 is exactly right on both counts. What Gingrich was getting at, which has nothing to do with skin color and everything to do with how to get out of poverty, is working for a living. And second, he's correct about much of the black mindset, that is that they deserve reparations.
Of course the latter is nonsense because we made reparations in blood over a hundred years ago.
@mollesjohn What Gingrich was getting at, which has nothing to do with skin color and everything to do with how to get out of poverty, is working for a living. - Yes, I agree.
And second, he's correct about much of the black mindset, that is that they deserve reparations. - LOLOL Please! You're going to tell me? Please, have fun with your conspiracy theories. I have never heard any of my brothers or sisters mention anything like that. So, yeah, keep telling yourself that.
@mollesjohn But, again, you missed the point. I said it was wrong for Newt to single out African-Americans when he spoke out welfare.. as if African-Americans are the only recipients.........Here is the clip /watch?v=DcdSrbB9sCY
You lied. Newt doesn't say at any time in that clip that African-Americans are the only recipients. You lied. Why?
I will tell you why you lied. You have to lie to paint Newt in a bad light... that's what liberals all do. They lie and lie and lie and figure the end justifies the means.
Next time don't have your reference material actually prove you are lying... some people check references... like me for instance. Now everyone knows you are a liar.
@mollesjohn There you go again with your hardheadedness.
I said = I said it was wrong for Newt to single out African-Americans when he spoke out welfare.. as if African-Americans are the only recipients
I didn't say he said African-Americans were the only ones, I said he singled out...You must have a hard time understanding the difference..Now, wouldn't singling out mean putting extra blame on someone? I would think so....
So you really do think doubling down is your best play? What if someone else views the clip you use for evidence of your claim and sees for themselves that in no way was Newt singling out African-Americans ... as if they were the only recipients. What then?
I understand you have to bet people won't take the time to look at the video that proves you lied, and therefore buy your B.S. sight unseen. Well, those that do take the time will know for certain you're one fat liar.
@mollesjohn A hardheaded fool is always a hardheaded fool. I never lied and never backed down, but since you realized that you were wrong--that Newt did single out blacks--you have to come with some BS. But if it pleases you, continue. I know what I said and I know what Newt said, so do as you please.
Doubling down again... well, good luck with that. If I were in your shoes I would have cut my losses, but then again, I don't lie like you do, so I don't have to worry about whether I've succeeded in duping people... that's your game.
@mollesjohn Your next move is probably to log in as another nick and post support for your own lie. Really???? I tell you about conspiracy nut jobs.....
@colony14 Half the nation's blacks discuss slavery reparations, which is why they supported Obama. Obama is a supporter of "stealth reparations," that is, any government program that redistributes wealth from whites to blacks. (That such programs also take money from wealthy blacks to give to poor whites is merely an inconvenience to Obama.) Obama advisor Charles Ogletree is a major supporter of reparations legislation.
@colony14 Yeah, you are going to tell me what I discuss. Child, please...........
Try again without all these dumb conspiracy theories, OK??
And if that is the mindset, you just proved that it was racist... blacks coming to take whitey's money... Please.. I don't want your money; I make my own....
@88donja You just made a racist comment. Ironic that you attempt to claim someone else is a racist. Racism is when one generalizes an entire group of people. Like your "whitey" comment. Then again, you "progressive/liberal" type have a long, documented history of racism.
@NCMan28025 LOL!! Fist of all, I am not a pro/lib... there goes your mind reading out the door. I am an independent... I use my brain...
Secondly, if you followed the conversation, you would have seen that I was stating and exposing the other guy's conspiracy theory that all blacks want white peoples money. But I guess you don't like to read.........
@88donja No, your words prove you're anything but Independent or a free thinker. You believe Juan Williams instead of actually searching out the original quote. No, not all blacks want white people's money, just Barack Obama, through his redistribution of wealth scheme. But I guess you don't like to read and just assume things...
@NCMan28025 WTF?! You're going to tell me what my political views are?? LOL Ah, boi...
I did search out the clip--here it is /watch?v=DcdSrbB9sCY.
Of course, I read. Anyways, you can continue to live in your current state of paranoia and crazy conspiracy theories that Obama wants your money to give to black people, if that makes you happy...
My first job was bailing hay when I was 13 and then washing dishes at a restaurant at 16, roofing and painting homes at 18, RA, student union worker, child care provider, and lawnmower at 20 and 21. I have my undergraduate in Secondary ED and am now seeking my masters. I've had 10 jobs in my life and I am only 27. Now I am working for a special education facility and hoping to earn a teaching position. Working has built character and responsibility
My first job was scrubbing the gunk off the corner of a building at a pizza parlor. I was 15, and I am pretty white. It builds character, it's not racially degrading.

@Aphoresis Believe it or not, not everyone in this country thinks or acts like you do.
cobrompton 1 month ago
@cobrompton
Aphoresis 1 month ago
@Aphoresis You weren't making a distinction based on ideology. The difference between saying "The typical conservative believes in lower taxes" and "the typical conservative doesn't like their opinions challanged" is obvious.
cobrompton 1 month ago
@cobrompton
Aphoresis 1 month ago
@Aphoresis What conclusions you can draw from following such logic! What assumptions do you think I could make about all conservatives in this country considering extreme right-wing examples around the world? How many examples of telling people what they can or can't say do you think I would find from conservatives in this nations past? The possabilities are both endless and absurd. At least I recognize that.
cobrompton 1 month ago
@cobrompton
Aphoresis 1 month ago
@cobrompton
The examples I suspect you have in mind when you refer to global "right wing extremism" would probably be the equivalent of me bringing communists like Castro and Chavez (on the far far left) into the convo, which I never did, because as you suggest it would be absurd.
Aphoresis 1 month ago
@Aphoresis To whatever degree you desire, the intellectual and legal cultures of Western Europe or any other culture are exactly that. They make decisions formed in the circumstances and idioms of their society. Plus there are multiple factions in every politicle culture that vary extremely widely. For example, if you were to hold up an Obama sign at an Occupy Wall Street rally you'd get boo'd out of the crowd. They have much more in common with Ron Paul who's even farther to the right.
cobrompton 1 month ago
@cobrompton
Aphoresis 1 month ago
@Aphoresis Like I said before, give me an example of liberals stifling sppech and I'll give you an example of conservatives doing the same. It's a result of human nature, not ideology.
cobrompton 1 month ago
@cobrompton
I am not talking about isolated examples in either case, I am talking about actual ideological principles that explicitly call for the stifling of certain kinds of speech in the former case. An actual thriving literature that justifies it.
Aphoresis 1 month ago
@Aphoresis likeflag-burning for example?
cobrompton 1 month ago
@cobrompton
Such rules, it is argued, are a natural extension of Liberal ideas (ideology) concerning "tolerance" and opposition to "cultural hegemony" etc.

I hope this helps to allow you to play catch-up in a very heated discussion.
Like many, I DESPISE people claiming non-bigoted people are bigots. Most of the time it is THEY who see skin-color and not the other way 'round.
mollesjohn 1 month ago

It's just a consequence of city life, not any minorities' fault.
mollesjohn 1 month ago
@mollesjohn Your argument is dumb of course you see more problems if you live in the inner city. Its not the suburbs people don't own their on homes nor do they live in an environment where living conditions are suitable for raising families. Not your fantasy world of paid speeches, money from giving business political access, and tons of money from other Republicans
blackdiamond1970 1 month ago
@blackdiamond1970
It was Obama that PUT them on food stamps, like that is a good thing.
mollesjohn 1 month ago
@mollesjohn Oh are we choosing to forget that most of the people out of work were out of work at the end of the Bush era. Also choosing to forget that most of the damage done in this country is by the House and Senate not by the President. The President can only do so much, that's how the system was set up. Failure or success of a President is determined by the House ans Senate. As far as food stamps and people being on government programs that's been happening for a long time.
blackdiamond1970 1 month ago
@blackdiamond1970 That is a cop-out to try and put this on Bush or congress. Obama has made things worse with loads of regulations and failed policies, yet with the media in his corner it all gets glossed over. The Pres had 2 years with a Democratic House and Senate; that got us failed stimulus and health care bills. Now the house passed over 20 bills that would help the economy and the senate won't take them up. This presidency is a failure. Anybody but Obama for president!
ezedlovr1 1 month ago
@ezedlovr1 I'm so sorry to inform of exactly how things work but nothing that is done in this country happens without the House and Senate's approval. Funds for programs are granted, a President cannot fund anything without the okay. Regulations are made through the agencies that a issue belongs to. An agency has the power 2 reject a regulation. The problem is that none of the people that need 2 say no are. The health care bills have been picked apart by the courts. Bush's 1st stimulus failed 2.

Now they actually BLAME HIM!!! Go figure!
mollesjohn 1 month ago
@mollesjohn The sad thing about the housing bubble was the greed that drove it. Too many people took advantage of the rules without any sense of responsibility to what they knew was going to happen. Both Bush and Obama have taken blame for the housing mess which has been unfair to the both of them.
blackdiamond1970 1 month ago

Quote from Wikipedia. You decide.

Put family first, fix your own damn house and educate yourselves or you can let the dems do it for you.

@ezedlovr1
:-) We all learn this eventually, whether we want to or not, but it's inspiring you can pick this up from others (parents perhaps?) then do your own research and verify it. It's not easy these days when Google and Youtube have biased searches, but as you know, the information is out there if people would look.
Good job... well said.
mollesjohn 1 month ago
@88donja Obviously you're trying to hide your liberalism with your ever changing comments. As a black man I want you to consider this: Over 90% of blacks are democrats vs 70% hispanic and less than 50% whites. Do you think we're the smarter ones? With more in prison, more dropouts, more on welfare (all per population) of course. Brainwashed comes to mind...
ezedlovr1 1 month ago 2
@ezedlovr1 Of course, some of them are brainwashed. That is why I am an independent.....Plus, some of them never vote R for certain reasons; reasons I guess you will never understand...
How can you support a party for some long and things don't change?
And, sorry, I can't help but laugh at the fact that you think I am liberal, when I clearly said I am not.... But if it makes you happy, then continue thinking that... I know what I am...
88donja 1 month ago
@88donja Some of them? Over 90% percent and 98% voted for Obama. Saying you're independent doesn't hold water really. Barry said a lot and look at his words now. I was once one of them then I educated myself on our real history. If you educate yourself you would know the Democrats have never been friends of blacks and never will be.
ezedlovr1 1 month ago
@ezedlovr1 Well, that is on them. And, once again, you can continue to believe what you want, but I know that I am an Independent voter......

Juan Williams is a BIGOT and just exactly the kind of person Martin Luther King was marching AGAINST.
mollesjohn 1 month ago 18
@mollesjohn Yes, I am sure you know all about MLK....
88donja 1 month ago
@88donja

@88donja would you like a tissue?
dijhili 1 month ago
@dijhili Nope. Do you?
88donja 1 month ago
@88donja The POINT is that success requires hard work and learning responsibility at an early age. With hard work and responsibility one can overcome discrimination. Sitting home feeling sorry for oneself while demanding slavery reparations only compounds the problem.
colony14 1 month ago
@colony14 Who was talking about slavery reparations?? I see where your mind is...
Anyways, the point is that Newt singled out blacks when he made that comment, implying that blacks are the only ones like that. There are more whites on welfare... Now, if he had said poor people, then no problem... As for the rest, of course, how else can one expect to be successful if they don't work?? Get it now???????
88donja 1 month ago
@88donja Gingrich DID say poor people, not blacks., in his original quote. It is Juan Williams who turned it into a racist remark.
colony14 1 month ago
@colony14 I am talking about the one where he said blacks..... look it up. He was in N.H. Now, unless the video clip I saw was edited, then I am wrong. But I highly doubt it was edited... so, yeah...................................
88donja 1 month ago
@88donja It is irrelevant. Newt's statements are correct, whether the poor person is black or white. Young poor people need jobs and they need how to accept responsibility or they will never get anywhere in life. Why are people afraid to say that poor people need to improve their work ethic?
colony14 1 month ago 3

@colony14 Young poor people need jobs ... Of Course!
Why are people afraid to say that poor people need to improve their work ethic? - Well, incase you didn't know, poor people have great work ethic; they work many jobs.. I guess the main reason they are people is because of poor education or something else.
But, again, you missed the point. As I said, he singled out blacks, as if blacks are the cause of all the problems.
88donja 1 month ago
@colony14 And I just love the slavery reparations quote... classic shit right there, my friend...
88donja 1 month ago
@88donja Do some research on Obama and Charles Ogletree. The two see almost eye to eye on the issue of reparations; they differ only on how to go about accomplishing it.
colony14 1 month ago
@88donja Like Juan William, you imply too much. Poor kids in poor neighborhoods doesn't only refer to poor black children. Juan, and idiots like you, invoke race because its the only card that can be used to stop debate. You may want to google search Newt's comment because he NEVER used the words poor black children.
NCMan28025 1 month ago
@NCMan28025 I just love your reply. Anyways, I was only talking about the part where Newt singled out blacks.If you want the clip, here it is /watch?v=DcdSrbB9sCY
Now, unless that was edited, I am quite sure he said black....
Anyways, I just love the name calling, too. Keep it classy....
Now, remember, I am not talking about the part where he mentions poor kids getting jobs... I am talking about the fact that he singled blacks and welfare....
Understand it now?
88donja 1 month ago
@88donja
And colony14 is exactly right on both counts. What Gingrich was getting at, which has nothing to do with skin color and everything to do with how to get out of poverty, is working for a living. And second, he's correct about much of the black mindset, that is that they deserve reparations.
Of course the latter is nonsense because we made reparations in blood over a hundred years ago.
mollesjohn 1 month ago
@mollesjohn What Gingrich was getting at, which has nothing to do with skin color and everything to do with how to get out of poverty, is working for a living. - Yes, I agree.
And second, he's correct about much of the black mindset, that is that they deserve reparations. - LOLOL Please! You're going to tell me? Please, have fun with your conspiracy theories. I have never heard any of my brothers or sisters mention anything like that. So, yeah, keep telling yourself that.
88donja 1 month ago
@mollesjohn But, again, you missed the point. I said it was wrong for Newt to single out African-Americans when he spoke out welfare.. as if African-Americans are the only recipients.........Here is the clip /watch?v=DcdSrbB9sCY
88donja 1 month ago
@88donja
Now everyone knows you are a liar.
mollesjohn 1 month ago
@mollesjohn I said he singled out... why are you so hard headed??
And for the last time, I am not a liberal.
I could care less about, Newt..........
88donja 1 month ago
@88donja
Your words: "as if African-Americans are the only recipients"
You lied. In the clip Newt in no way implied the African-Americans were the only recipients. I saw the clip you used for reference and you lied.
I realize you think you might as well double down and pretend you didn't lie, hoping others won't see the clip and find out as well.
Your next move is probably to log in as another nick and post support for your own lie.
Face it: you got caught lying. Accept it.
mollesjohn 1 month ago
@mollesjohn There you go again with your hardheadedness.
I said = I said it was wrong for Newt to single out African-Americans when he spoke out welfare.. as if African-Americans are the only recipients
I didn't say he said African-Americans were the only ones, I said he singled out...You must have a hard time understanding the difference..Now, wouldn't singling out mean putting extra blame on someone? I would think so....
88donja 1 month ago
@88donja
Well, those that do take the time will know for certain you're one fat liar.
mollesjohn 1 month ago
@mollesjohn A hardheaded fool is always a hardheaded fool. I never lied and never backed down, but since you realized that you were wrong--that Newt did single out blacks--you have to come with some BS. But if it pleases you, continue. I know what I said and I know what Newt said, so do as you please.
88donja 1 month ago
@88donja
Doubling down again... well, good luck with that. If I were in your shoes I would have cut my losses, but then again, I don't lie like you do, so I don't have to worry about whether I've succeeded in duping people... that's your game.
mollesjohn 1 month ago
@mollesjohn Your next move is probably to log in as another nick and post support for your own lie. Really???? I tell you about conspiracy nut jobs.....
88donja 1 month ago
@colony14 Half the nation's blacks discuss slavery reparations, which is why they supported Obama. Obama is a supporter of "stealth reparations," that is, any government program that redistributes wealth from whites to blacks. (That such programs also take money from wealthy blacks to give to poor whites is merely an inconvenience to Obama.) Obama advisor Charles Ogletree is a major supporter of reparations legislation.
colony14 1 month ago 2
@colony14 Yeah, you are going to tell me what I discuss. Child, please...........
Try again without all these dumb conspiracy theories, OK??
And if that is the mindset, you just proved that it was racist... blacks coming to take whitey's money... Please.. I don't want your money; I make my own....
88donja 1 month ago
@88donja You just made a racist comment. Ironic that you attempt to claim someone else is a racist. Racism is when one generalizes an entire group of people. Like your "whitey" comment. Then again, you "progressive/liberal" type have a long, documented history of racism.
NCMan28025 1 month ago
@NCMan28025 LOL!! Fist of all, I am not a pro/lib... there goes your mind reading out the door. I am an independent... I use my brain...
Secondly, if you followed the conversation, you would have seen that I was stating and exposing the other guy's conspiracy theory that all blacks want white peoples money. But I guess you don't like to read.........
88donja 1 month ago
@88donja No, your words prove you're anything but Independent or a free thinker. You believe Juan Williams instead of actually searching out the original quote. No, not all blacks want white people's money, just Barack Obama, through his redistribution of wealth scheme. But I guess you don't like to read and just assume things...
NCMan28025 1 month ago
@NCMan28025 WTF?! You're going to tell me what my political views are?? LOL Ah, boi...
I did search out the clip--here it is /watch?v=DcdSrbB9sCY.
