I sued to dj on a military post and I used to bang this joint right here. It's good to know that i'm not the only horn dog for drooling over those chicks too back in the day lol! The video reminds you of what they are trying to do today in rap videos lol!
Yogi sounds like q-tip. My older bro had their album on cassette, yes when tapes were still around. It had so many cracks on it, the film somehow got shredded up & finally bought the CD instead
This shit is still HOT! I remember bumpin' this CD BRAND NEW on the bus back in the day. Even still get a hard on when seeing the girls pop that booty. Sexy as FUCK!! at 32 yrs Some things/people never change, unlike HIPHOP witch changes wit the generations. This current ERA of HIPHOP (in my opinion) could use a few lessons from the "OLD SCHOOL" of witch i call "TRUE SCHOOL". Like the artist in this video, I can hear AUDIO 2. Not saying "NO CHANGE" but at least have a decent FLOW!
CRU C-R-U, bubblin', bubblin'.... Yo, I had this CD ever since 1997 and to this day one my all-time classic 90's Hip-Hop joints!!! Had one of them not had gotten locked up, I think they coulda went at least gold. This Cd was mos def slept onnnnn!!!!!!!!
The thing is. We didnt have a choice but to like most of the shit that the NY was putting out when they were in control of the rap game. This stuff isnt really good but no one else was being promoted like these fuckin scrubs. THEN THE SOUTH CAME THREW LIKE FUCKIN KATRINA AND HAS HAD IT ON LOCK for 10 YRS.
@aero912 Ok the South has been doing the damn thing for a minute but you obviously didn't listen to this album when it was out or have a real appreciation for a variety of music besides whats being played on the fuckin radio!!! Oh I'm from NC too so I appreciate the dirty as well!!!
@maturesun Hip hop is universal now it's good 2 have a well rounded appreciation 4 all regions' format. This shit comes around in cycles. soon it'll all mesh together into something else. Linkin Park called it the Hybrid Theory. Cru dropped a classic in their era. too bad they weren't around after the late 90's.
@LeezyRay30 I agree but I don't know if I would quote Linkin Park on the theory of music cycles and meshing when you can go back to RunDMC, Beastie Boys and Guru's Jazzamatazz. There are good regional rappers but I think southern rap is over saturating the radio so you don't get to hear them. East Coast had a long run, so did the West and now the South, but they got to even out the balance now. Even the mixtape game is over doing it, you get 8 Jezzy's, 10 Weezy's, 6 Gucci's and 1 Red Cafe....
@maturesun dude this shit sux...Simple. But we didnt know anybetter... Jus as a lot of shit now suxx. We'll look back 10 yrs from now and say, "Why was Gucci Mane ever famous".
@aero912 I went a little hard on this one but this far from sucks. I'm not saying it should have won album of the year but it was a solid album overall. I do agree a lot of shit doesn't stand the test of time and I give that up to good marketing at the time. I did take some L's when I was younger because I fell for the hype but this one was a good album. I'd say CRU is a step or two below Group Home, solid work but didn't make it past the 90's.
@aero912 dude everythign from new york is not hot , but still a lot of stuff from ny is hot....new york is one state, the south is a big ass area..you got texas, alabama, mississippi, georgia, tennesse, oklahoma, florida, north carolina, south carolina, and some more...you should be dominating the fucking rap game...plus you got a bigger region from which dude but people from their region(the south) new york really is just nyc and up to mount vernonand jersey too..yet we did our thing
@aero912 and im from nyc but just cus they from ny dont mean they cant be wack....the thing with the 90's especially the early 90's was that there was talent in new york..so we shined, from AZ,wu tang clan, m.o.p, black moon, mobb deep, tribe called quest, LOTNS, brand nubians, heltah skeltah, group home, nas, biggie smalls, big L, busta rhymes, lost boyz, lord tarig and peter gunz, fat joe, big pun, DMX, foxy brown , lil kim, Jay-Z, krs-one,run dmc, onyx, pete rock n cl smooth.-all HOT
@aero912 so its not that yall were forced to listen to us but it was just that we were hot and put hit after hit out...if new york wasnt around in the 90's then the 90's wouldnt really be that hot.....
@nutlil2 I understand what yor sayin completely. Dont get me wrong. I grew up on Wu, Jay..CNN etc. But im sayying if the south was as noticed as it is now, Then I believed it wouldnt had been as hot as it were. I understand also that it was jus evolution..since new yourk started rap, ita only sense that It be the first hot spot. But i believe that the reason the west took over in the early 90s then the South afterwards till now is that Beats (as much as we hate to say it) is what sells records
Used to be my jam! Not only was track ill, but I used to drool over those girls in the video LOL! Could you blame a 14 yr old?! LOL! CRU back in 97-98...good music.
Yeah this was hot back when. I was lookn for this vid before, and couldn't find it but now i wasn't looking for it and by chance "here it is".......Oh, and naw man i can't blame you at all! Videos back then were like porn to us kids who's dads had pad locks on their sockdraw. That chick in this video was POPPN' DAT BOOTY HUH? LOL.
that nicca chadio was a fuckin midget. I was like 13 when this was out and I was still prolly taller.
