  • JIMI'S KICKIN THAT ASS ! HAPPY THANKSGIVING JIMI IN HEAVEN , WE ALL STILL LOVE YOU SO MUCH ! , AL

  • 1 person is death.

  • @thejaboston Deaf* try second grade again

  • frst hela tite. second he hoppd on tht organ and started jammin'. tht was even better. hes a composer.

  • Stellar!! Need I say more.. <3 Hendrix

  • God on drums, Buddha playing bass.

  • Yes it is Jimi

He use to place a tape recorder ( the old school black box kind ) in front of his amp so that is why you can't hear much else. they were for his reference of his performance which i'm not sure he ever used. after his death they were slowly leaked out in the form of bootlegs

  • its fukin great how i keep finding great jimi stuff after 20 odd years of listining to him wow

  • hehe God plays drums and he needed a fellow god of music to jam with!! THUMBS UP for the great big gig in the sKY!! :DDDDDDD

  • I want this played at my funeral

  • haha 190 likes to 0 dislikes... lovin it

  • Hey man.. where can I get this track?

  • This is incredible. Is the whole show available?

  • Awsome Jam, too bad he is not jaming with us still

  • this sounds alot like little wing (little ivy) live from royal alberts hall

  • 4:34 classic Hendrix hammer on. I've been listening to Hendrix for the past 4 years or so and only Hendrix every day. Either this is Hendrix or whoever played this is the next. I play guitar and Hendrix is one of my all time favorite idols. I constantly listen to him and try to figure stuff out. I'm tellin you, I've heard that hammer on exactly the same on sum Hendrix records with the exact same tone.

  • great, sensitive guitar work but the drumming seems a bit excessive and lacking subtlety.

  • Obviously someone is a little hurt. And yes, Nickleback does suck....just another insult someone didn't understand apparently.

  • The matter is not whether or whether not I agree with a definition, it is the fact that you are clearly too stupid to understand the definition. You have not surprised me about anything except for how ignorant and just plain dumb you are. Go read more than one definition and maybe it will eventually sink into your dull mind about what it means to be an "ideologue." Who gives a damn if you prefer Muse, its off topic. I am sure you prefer lots of things, such as anal, but who cares.

  • @superbassify

'I am done with you. ' 6 Feb

'This will be my last post on here' 7 Feb

..but I tug your lead and out you come again, yapping and pissing everywhere. Can your credibility sink any lower? Much more of this and you'll need to get a new name.

PS it still isn't Hendrix and you still have no idea what 'ideologue' or 'evidence' mean - but keep trying, you might get there eventually.

  • @superbassify

    See below.

    And Nickelback suck.

  • Seriously man, give it up. Do you know what a synonym for ideologue is? A TRUE BELIEVER. You truly believe that this is not Hendrix and will not budge or hear anybodies argument that it is. Therefore, you are an ideologue. You just do not understand the definition. That is not my fault. Here is a sentence that proves that you are an ideologue, "as long as there are ideologues controlling both sides of the aisle, legislative compromise is out of the question." You can't argue with one.

  • I love how you can hear him tune his guitar, plug in to his cab, and then just wail on that thing. Truly awesome.

  • RRRAAAAAWW

  • YT seems to have hundreds of claimed 'Hendrix jam' uploads, nearly all amateurish nonsense.

There's no way in the world this racket is Jimi.

  • @fearlissimo at first i was going to insult you but i realize this is not the way. please refrain from sounding like a connoseur as you clearly arent, this sounds very much of jimi. anyways, perhaps its because it is. Live Jam @ Cafe Go Go New York

  • @dethrumar

Try insults if you like, won't upset me, shut me up or change my mind that this is not only not Hendrix, it's someone who is about 1% as good as Hendrix, a rubbish recording of an amateurish jam. There is plenty of legit live Hendrix for comparison and my guess is I've forgotten more about Hendrix and his wonderful playing than you'll ever know.

PS it's 'connoisseur'. Don't use words you can't spell, makes you look stupid.

  • @fearlissimo

my guess is you started looking up little wing cus you're a "huge hendrix fan" and that lets you assume you know his style of playing and music. you have yet a lot to listen to to be judging whether his music is his or not.

btw your my-grammar-is-better-than-yours bullshit is old. get over yourself.

  • @LotusHacker

The comments under these 'Hendrix jam' uploads usually degenerate into believers insisting it's Jimi and people with ears saying "no way". The believers are intolerant of disagreement and resort to name calling as though that's a way to win an argument. You think it's Hendrix, I'm certain it's some kids having a laugh with a few tabbed Hendrix licks they've almost learned and an effects unit. So what?

And you should learn the difference between grammar and spelling. HTH.

  • @fearlissimo

i don't care what other people have been posting. your first comment though implies that this video "amateurish." you're mad that people are insulting you? get over it. this "racket" is hendrix's playing and maybe next time you make a false accusation like that you can do some research (LIKE LOOKING UP THE CAFE AU GO GO THAT'S CLEARLY IN THE DESCRIPTION) and see if it really is his playing. do you need any other help or just more complaints?

  • @LotusHacker

LOL, get a grip on that temper kid. Being insulted doesn't bother me, OR EVEN BEING SHOUTED AT.

The video is obviously amateurish, though I don't think saying this isn't Hendrix is an 'accusation', just an opinion, but one I am confident is correct. And I know Hendrix played Cafe Au Go Go: I just don't believe this is a recording of one of those shows.

    Your turn.

  • @fearlissimo

oh did you really? you just happened to know that and yet still be really ignorant? do you even know how long the club was running for? lmao.

    you're cute. you really are.

  • @LotusHacker

Yawn. Give it a rest, kid. Even if this crap recording was made at the CAGG, it's not Hendrix.

You believe organisedblues and think this noise is Hendrix. I believe the evidence of my ears and am certain it isn't. The difference between us is that I couldn't care less about any of your opinions whereas you are very upset that I don't agree with you, and try by a childish mixture of insistence and rudeness to change my mind. Epic fail.

    You're boring. You really are.

  • @fearlissimo

still lolling while you type paragraphs of nerd rage.

  • @LotusHacker

Couple of tips to help you grow up, if you ever do:

    (i) learn to accept differences of opinion;

    (ii) try to understand name calling makes you look stupid and childish and doesn't upset me;

(iii) having the last word in an argument doesn't make you the 'winner', just someone who's too dumb to know when he's beaten.

To save us both time, can I suggest we automate this discussion:

10 [fearlissimo] This rubbish isn't Hendrix

20 [Lotushacker] Yes it is you %^$£&*^()!

    30 GOTO 10

  • @LotusHacker

You got something to say to me kid? Just not in public?

Give it up. This rubbish isn't Hendrix. You disagree. Nobody cares.

  • @fearlissimo

Without a doubt Hendrix. The playing is much too complex for any amateur. Just listen to the bass player. No amateur can even come close to such beautiful and well composed playing. Listen to how well the drummer and bass player mix. They have both perfected their craft. No amateur could come close to being that tight and be able to read each other in such a way. If this is a fake then they must be EXTREMELY talented musicians.

  • @superbassify

I am as certain it isn't Hendrix as you appear to be that it is. So what?

And why does my opinion concern you? Yours doesn't interest me at all.

  • @fearlissimo

Why do you post on here then? You are going to have people comment on your comments. Next time, try saying, "Please do not respond to my opinion." That should solve your problem. I didn't realize you were such an ideologue. Sorry.

  • @superbassify

The only problem I have is with people who reply to me personally, apparently trying to change my mind, people who IMO know rather less about Hendrix and guitar playing than I do. Read what I said to jhgf280.

And I suggest you look up 'ideologue', coz whatever you meant to call me, I doubt that was it.

  • @fearlissimo

Like I said, post something that says something along the lines of, "please don't respond to me personally." You can't get pissed off at people if they have not been told not to. I am a session musician dude. Trust me, I know what I am talking about. I may not be a truly awesome player but I know what I am talking about. Ideologue was right. You refuse to see any point of view other than your own. You give no merit to other peoples opinion. So yeah, that is what I meant.

  • @superbassify

This must be what being stalked is like, only more boring.

'Ideologue : 1. An advocate of a particular ideology, especially an official exponent of that ideology.' (from wiktionary)

I told you it was the wrong word.

And no, I don't trust you, or believe you are a musician, and my interest in your opinions is actually managing to decrease with every post.. Now will you stop hassling me just because I don't think this noise is Hendrix?

  • @fearlissimo

Are you not advocating a particular opinion on this subject and denying any input from others because you only see your viewpoint as truth? You sir, are too dumb to understand a definition. The fact that you even had to look that up is evidence of that. Also, you are not being stalked if you are commenting back dumbass. I could say the same thing about you. So, uh, quit stalking me. I am done with you. You are obviously a loser who doesn't know anything about music.

  • @superbassify

Bit of a coincidence that the dictionary agreed with me and not you though, eh? I give you an impartial definition which showed exactly what I said, I was right and (as in everything else) you were wrong. And now you want to argue with the dictionary, ffs!! Is English your first language?

Get a life, jack, and learn when you're beaten.

  • @fearlissimo

Ha, get a life. I love how people don't even know someones first name on here and yet than seem to know everything about them. Sorry dude but you can't hurt my feelings. I just can't stand fools like you who are too stubborn to listen to reason. Anyways, like that example sentence demonstrates, there is no arguing with you. I am sure you are "right" about everything. You can do no wrong and are just a perfect individual. You are an IDEOLOGUE! Idiot. Go listen to Nickelback

  • @superbassify

Taken in by fake Hendrix 'jam'... insists the dictionary is wrong and he is right about the meaning of words .... announces 'I am done with you' and then can't leave it alone... foaming at the mouth with caps & insults... Get a life? Get a grip, more like.

You started this by posting to tell me I was wrong about something, and have been surprised to find I don't roll over for loudmouths just because they claim to be session musicians.

This still isn't Hendrix, and I prefer Muse.

  • @fearlissimo

“The moment a person refuses to examine his or her beliefs is the moment that person becomes an ideologue.” Everyone advocates for a certain position or stance on any given subject, etc. You refuse to hear arguments and offer up absolutely no evidence as to why you think this is not Hendrix. You are blindly advocating your position. You are unwavering no matter how much evidence can be thrown at you not because you have proof, only because you are an idiot who doesn't know.

  • @superbassify

Perhaps you'd do better quoting a dictionary rather than your mum. I am not an ideologue, it is not the insult you seem to think it is anyway, and my opinion regarding the identity of the performer here is not a matter of ideology, despite your tedious insistence otherwise.

You have no 'evidence' this is Jimi any more than I have that it isn't. All you are is an arrogant bighead who thinks other people should be convinced by your opinion, and starts namecalling when they aren't.

  • @fearlissimo

This will be my last post on here. You are just an incredibly irritating person who doesn't have a clue as to what they are talking about. So go ahead and tell me that my use of the word is wrong. It is like trying to explain it to a five year old who is far to vague in the head to understand it. Next time, don't post comments on here unless you actually have evidence to back it up. You just look like a little kid clawing for attention.

  • @superbassify

'This will be my last post on here.' I hope so, but somehow I doubt it.

And while you've got the dictionary out to look up the real meaning of 'ideologue', have a squint at 'evidence' as well, because that seems to cause you confusion.

As for attention, you started it. Why did you not just post 'I'm sure this is Hendrix' on the thread? Why did you feel a need to 'correct' me? You're the one who needs help, pal.

  • @fearlissimo This is most definetly Hendrix man. No doubt about it. No one plays like that. (Except him)

  • @jhgf280

Jeez, give it a rest. If you feel some strange compulsion to post 'this really, really is Hendrix', be my guest.

Just don't bother to address it to me.

  • @fearlissimo sure thing boss.

  • @fearlissimo can't you hear him say "yeah" ?

  • @fearlissimo

I don't know about that. It does sound a lot like him if it isn't him. I really don't get where you call this performance "racket" though. Most of his live recordings aren't hi-fidelity, and a lot is lost in kind of that, but when you look at how many hours of jamming have been taped, it could very well be him.

  • not hendrix for many reasons. just listen

  • Comment removed

  • simply gorgeous.

  • Oh nice...my headache is gone! =D

  • God the end made me tear up, i love this jam.

  • there really should be a love button

  • great, such mellow beautiful sounds, thank you for uploading it

  • one word awesome

  • God needed a guitar player

  • @mclarkuncg OR GOD NEEDED A GUITAR

  • Wonderful!! RIP....

i know you still playing!! - playing in heaven!! :)

  • this is one of the best

  • he he... perfect hendrix... as always...

  • fuckin great

  • fly on, little wing

  • Jimi is god!

  • Definitely sounds like Phillip Wilson on drums. Listen to "Resurrection of Pigboy Crabshaw," same tom tuning and similar triplet fills. Obviously Butterfield on harp, can't guess at the bass player.

  • I think this is the "Blues At Midnight" bootleg.

  • @f8fbearcat yeah it is i have it on my itunes, the cafe au go go version of little wing jam isnt as good a quality recording

  • anyway i can get this on my i pod?

  • Yeah, download (Youtube Downloader). The copy the url to this page onto the downloader. Save it, convert it (you'll know how). Then put it on itunes, then blam.

  • jeff baxter on bass maybe??????

  • this is a great jam when and where did it take place

  • what a masterpiece little wing instrumental!

full of creativity, feeling and that beautiful sensation only jimi can transmit

  • whats this song called

  • little Wing

  • thanks man ;)

  • fucking great !

  • nah not little wing...this is His Guitarness just enchanting us with his chords & notes.

    peace & love from netherlands...

    henny

  • little wing :D

  • what a wonderful capture of tone, i'm amazed

  • AMAZING

    Thanks for posting

  • Dig check out the guitar! Jimmi's 1968 Flying V he painted himself. Gibson has their inspired by series of guitars which are exact copies of the originals. They have this guitar availible just like the one you see here. Only thing is it goes for 8 grand! If I could I would have one. Maybe some day!

  • DAMN!!!!!!

  • Tou can hear Butterfield struggling to figure out which notes fit in with Jimi on the harmonica. Paul does pretty well, considering the circumstances. If that is really Phil Wilson on drums, then its just another reason to miss him, a beautiful drummer who played a role in jazz, blues and rock that's never been properly recognized.

  • Jammin' with soul...

    thanks for this...

    Be well, happy, and peaceful.

    Be a ray of love.

  • gotta learn some harmonica.

  • People get knowledge mixed up with music. Music is not what you know, but what you feel.

  • when i play my music people tell me they feel him iin presence like he said its not hard to play the blues but its hard to feel and thats a very true statement

  • hey is cool. but try some humility,...

  • no he really didnt struggle that much he pretty much embodied music and another thing he could play left and right just as good as the other that is not somethin you learn

  • why is he so good?

  • thousands upon millions of hours of practicing haha. and he was gifted, but he struggled long and hard to be that good.

  • he never stopped playing

  • His Guitarness giving it to us one more time in the last minutes of this great jam.

    Peace & Love from Netherlands...

    Henny

  • this is a little wing song. great song i sitll like the band of gypsys stuff better

  • Generous GENuios,

    He'd give anything, .,..anything !

  • the audio is out of sync with the video!

  • dude there is no video here lol

  • lol...i like your sense of humour

  • damn u must be trippin

  • lol

  • nice!!!

  • where can i find an MP3 of this?

  • favorite zamzar come back to this page then click on the zamzar tab and it should convert it to watevr u want it to

if that dont work just copy the url and paste it in the blank

  • Little Wing was written and finalized in 1967. He must just be jammin it with Redding and Mitchel.

  • maybe cafe wha he had that song before 67 and many of the other songs too they wer all boiled and ready

  • Pure amzing Of Version OF LIttle wing in the making...GENuios

  • is there just a cd with some hendrix jam sessions that i can download?

  • i envy any1 who has seen him live, being a person who was born a good 20 years after his death. Has any1 seen him live?

  • very good hendrix jam, nice, never heard it.

  • It was God not confusion that made let miracle happen !

  • Screw the pictures man. Its the tune that Matters. Thanx.

  • Little wing

  • nice, that just chilled me right out.

  • Could you please tell me where do you found this? Any information I would be pleased!

    Thanks.

  • Hm, okay I didn't saw the review, sorry.

  • wow it's macig this made my day!!!!

  • This jam sounds a lot like a long version of little wing. A work in progress.

  • how could u not find any other pics?

ur able to get on youtube right?

why not go to google first?

  • homie u lucky i didnt leave the screen blank! i coulda posted a whole lot more pic's of him but it's bout the music. listen!

  • @organizedblues Totally agree! It's all about the music! People want spoon feeding everything these days. Hell, engage your imagination!!! Jimi sure did!

  • haha totally awesome jam. where did u get such mp3s?

  • internet does miracles lol

  • @organizedblues "miracles...how do those work?" sorry for the ICP reference. had to do it. i'm obsessed with those foolish fools and their foolishness. on a real note, is this from that session that had morrison, and johnny winter in it? i'd be surprised this was left off

  • @realradiodevil sounds like it.

  • what is this recording on?

  • sounds like angle.

  • This is not Hendrix, very strange riffs..

  • you're joking rite?

  • Well then I guess that's not him saying "yeah" at 1:40? Listen next time and stop talking while listening!

  • Jimi Hendrix was the best! I just wish I was born in the 70's and just live my years through the amaizing rock generation! Luckily, I saw Van Halen, The Who, Rush, and Jeff Beck all last year!

  • how do you do that?! goddamn this is great

almost makes me want to quit guitar myself

  • Mike Bloomfield said Hendrix "burned me to death. He just got right up in my face with that ax. I didn't want to touch my guiitar for a year"

  • he's just being modest, bloomfield was one of the blessed few who could touch hendrix

i totally agree with what he said tho, when hendrix plays his soulful stuff it grabs ahold of you and doesnt let you go

  • This is what CRACK and HEROIN sound like! Its that addicting, R.i.P to the man

  • Nice!:)

  • awesome version of little wing

  • can you send this to me?

    love the song

  • fucking love this.. thanks so much for posting this. love to hear these home recordings and "unnamed" tracks he made

  • He must have been a very beautiful human being, coz I always cry on his 'special' moments. A black guy from poor conditions with this so universal spirit.

How could he know so much? Was it God?

  • Great to see a page full of only positive comments on Youtube! Thank you Jimi!

  • Thanks so much OB for sending me this. Just listened to it again, and it is truely amazing.

  • God knows this is great. (God loves music, music, music forever & ever, LOL! I know my Bible...LOL)

  • Jimi let us feel his emotions on this one. Also, I'm pretty sure it's Steve Winwood on the organ

  • this shit is amazing. can't believe this is 40 years old. OH! how hendrix has inspired the generations!

  • Feeling the vibe on that Hendrix track!

    Thanks for the video. :-)

  • fucking beautiful.

  • This Jam Is Sick :)

....I Wish I coulda been there.

  • Wow!, very beautiful feeling, i can feel jimis sarrows, R.I.P James

    peace and love mexico!

  • i got this tune too, thanks for the upload bro. I learned a lot from this tune.

  • Jimi had great feeling! Nice.

  • awsome track

    favorited it :)

  • Wow I love it. Where did you get it?

    thanks for posting :)

  • beautiful

    Love and Peace

  • great man thanks for posting this! kick ass!

  • oh my god this sounds amazing.. thanks alot(:

  • NICE!!!!

  • That was absolutely fantastic. Thanks for posting this.

  • This video's too popular! xD

  • Way to go, man! so great to hear this...don't know about you, but I'm hearing some cool SRV-like tones...leave to Jimi to be so out there!

  • i love how you "srv like tones"

firstly hendrix was way before srv and shoudlnt they by hendrix tones instead of srv ones.

amazing all the same, in my opinon srv was no where near this guy.

  • I agree that SRV was not as out there as Jimi, but he did not need to be anyone but himself and so many dig him for that. What I'm saying is some of the tones Jimi was producing would be recognizable as SRV-like to those who are familiar with SRV's tone...and I know who came first, I saw Jimi in Seattle just before he died...

  • as usual..no one compares...thanks OB

  • yeah!!fantastic dude

    thank you very much

  • *winwood

  • Dont know if this has been said already but may be steve woodwind on organ?

    xxxx

  • Speachless.....absoloutly speachless!

    So beautiful!

    Thanks soo much for posting!

    Love and Peace!

    xxxx

  • that was f-ing unbelievable!

thank you so much for posting this, organizedblues!

    PEACE to all of you!

  • this type of jam is what separates jimi from the rest; an impromptu jam session of various players. He says, we'll riff off this altered version of whatever (little wing here) and off they go, another gem created out of thin air. Put the guy in any situation, and poof ! magic

  • very interesting!!

The great Harvey Brooks at bass, never known he played with Handrix, such an incredible style mix!

I know him for playing with Mr. Miles Davis and other jazz stuff,

    trhanx and regards 'bro

    mp

  • WOW! AWESOME! Thanks for the upload! =D

    PEACE
