  • Broken LCD panel. Some of the TDMS Data lanes is missing (it has 3 to 5 data lanes + a Clock lane) It looks like the colour depth is off, yeah.

  • That's not a bad thing btw. Quite entertaining!

  • Your intro is like the start of a 90s sex ed film!

  • I had the same error. Resetting the Parameter RAM worked fine for me. (CMD + ALT + P + R). No Hardware error.

  • that background looks great!

  • Well if you boot into windows and it is still like that it is obviously a hardware issue.

  • NVIDIA publicly acknowledged a higher than normal failure rate for some of their graphics processors. After an Apple-led investigation, Apple has determined that some MacBook Pro computers with the NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics processor may be affected. If the NVIDIA graphics processor in your MacBook Pro has failed, or fails within three years of the original date of purchase, a repair will be done free of charge, even if your MacBook Pro is out of warranty. Go to the store and

  • Okay so how bad was your screen broke?? isnt that what happend? because I cracked my screen and they told me they dont know if they can fix it ....... PLEASE GET BACK AT ME Im pissed its not even cracked that bad.

  • the colors look inverted

  • So did they fix it?

  • should ave got a emachine :)

  • i want it

  • From what I saw i think i got an idea whats wrong with your MBP,

its nothing to do with the graphics card or controller, its the LCD itself to be exact the Light Inverter Board this controls the cold cathode light behind your screen background they can be replaced. Hope this helps

  • Hello :) You were right! I just got a call from the apple store, and thats exactly what it was, the replaced the entire LCD screen and mount and its on the way back :) Thanks for the suggestion. I showed them this comment and they said they would look at it, and you were right. Thanks again :)

  • Hey Buddy, I have heard about this from 3 different guys, must be a glitch in the system...weird. Did ya get it fixed yet? Just got this video..been out of..hmmmm..."commission" for a bit. No place like the USA!! Keep em coming!!

  • Hey :) I have not gotten it fixed yet. I have been in and out of town myself. Havent had time to take it to the apple store yet, but plan on it next week :)

  • Yes, you can set the remote to a specific machine. Go into the system preferences and click the security tab. In this preference pane, you will be able to "pair" your remote.

  • I was afraid that this might happen...sorry buddy LOL

  • man, sorry to hear about your MBP issues, I'm really starting to debate right now if buying one this September would be a good decision... I'd say if just your computer was having these issues I wouldn't have any good reason not to buy one for myself, but videos like this keep popping up, and I'm starting to feel a bit leery about buying one at this point. once school starts I really can't afford to go 7-10 days without a computer...

oh well, good luck to you, hope your experience goes well...

  • Well it is having problems. But at present its not really having issues running, actually right now the video is fine. It just goes in and out. I do not regret buying it. I wouldnt have anything else but a MBP . One the kinks get worked out Im sure it will be fine :)

  • actually, I looked into it, and apparently this is a problem primarily affecting just this generation of MBP (there have been quite a few reports on the Apple Support forums from people who own MBP's from this generation and who are having similar problems)... either way, I'm hoping Apple manages to fix the current hardware issues by the time they intro the next generation of MBP's in September.

  • you can pair you remote to one computer

  • Really? I need to look into that. Thanks :)

  • yeah no problem

  • This is just terrible. What ever will we do? If all of the Macbooks continue to go down, will this mean the end of time?

  • It might...it might.,..

  • That has got to be fake! Al's video seemed to be fake as well.

IDK so don't get all mad at me!

You can just change the icons and background to make the problem...

  • Yes, it is! Its a conspiracy! Were going to keep taking them back over and over and over again until there are no more Macbooks left@! HAHAHAH!!!!!

    :P

  • Wow, good thing it is still under warranty. Perhaps is was just the production lot and they will just replace it.

  • Well I hope they just replace the logic board and not the hard drive so I dont have to start over

  • Is it an ATI or an nVidia video card?

  • Its an NVidia Card. A pretty good one. Its always worked good for things until this happened.
