i noticed that they never served you with a warrant to search your property that means you can turn around to them and say i will take you to court for not producing it to you at your door or when they speak to you in person and to not show you his badge that is a criminal offence and yes building a pond is a nature reserve but there are byelaws you have to follow before during and after you build one.
