She is one of the only pop stars that actually sing live........she might not have the best voice in the world, but she has Class and style and can sing better then most of us, at least she sings live, not like Madonna and Co

What's so good about Kylie, she never seems to sing live and has one of the least distinctive voices in pop. It could be anyone singing on some of her records. I call her Kylie Mimeogue.

what? im not sure if I understand your message. kylie is someone who sings a lot live! she hasnt the best voice but she sings live very well. sure many other artists could sing her songs but thats the same with madonna, beyonce, britney, christina etc.

Thanks Melancholio74. She wasn't live in her own TV special, Strictly Come Dancing, The Brits ... If she sings live very well then why all the miming ? It's not what you expect from an award winner.

at the brits 2008 it was half playback. the backing vocals and the refrain were playback and of course the music. dont forget wow is a dance song with many sound vocal effekts. she did the verse live etc. in all her concerts she sings live. i was there twice and i was surprised how good it was. yes in some tv shows some artist do full playback but all i can say is that kylie sings more live than the other "pop" artists (madonna, britney etc.);-)

I appreciate the reply but I still don't get what is so good about her. Even you said "she hasn't the best voice." Why are we giving awards to people like that ? Although at least she's had a career, unlike Adele.

the good about her is that she is on the top for so many years. doing good pop music. if you are not a fan of pop music you will not like her. plus - she is a nice and down to earth person and she is working hard. of course she doesnt have one of the best voices but she can sing and she has talent. she is not a one hit wonder. do you need more? ;-)

I am a fan of pop music but I don't particularly like her though I have nothing against her. Putting aside her weak voice and preference to mime in front of TV audiences (she would't last 30 seconds at the Eurovision Song Contest), my main complaint is that she does not have a distinctive voice. Unlike, say, her compatriot Olivia Newton-John.

If she is so hard-working they why doesn't she work on those points ? Much more effort seems to be put into her image and you for one have fallen for it.

well, there are many successful people in the business without a voice that brings you goosebumps but many of them can sing. kylie can sing live well and I know that she doesnt do playback that often. the image is important nowaday - I also dislike that a bit. I think its geeting too important. you cant change an average or normal voice into a 8 octave mariah voice. so why should she work on something she will never reach? I think her voice is quite ok for the songs she is doing - dance/pop!

at the end its always a question of taste and we dont have many artists with a mega brilliant voice there and i think she doesnt get the brit for best voice. its more the whole kylie package that made her so famous. i think her years of her amazing success also count. this will be my last comment. we will not find one level ;-)

i agree. Kylie may not be an amazing singer with a powerful voice but she is a good entertainer/ performer and doesn't get on the public's nerves. unlike mariah carey considering she has a great voice, she dresses weird and her songs aren't getting far either.

I have been to see kylie live, in her x tour live in london 02 arena, and she is amazing. you can really tell that she is singing live, and she varifies some notes sometimes, she expresses her voice more, and is just AMAZING. NEVER SAY KYLIE ISN'T WORTHY FOR ANYTHING, THAT JUST SHOWS HOW MUCH OF AN IDIOT YOU ARE, YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT KYLIE. i am truly the ultimate kylie fan, and she deserves every bit of support from all music fans out there just like me and everyone

Nadinecoylefan, I'm pleased you're so passionate about music. I am sticking to my guns because I feel awards should go to better singers. Even Simon Cowell (who loves Kylie) admits in his book that her voice isn't her strongest point.

we gove awards to people like kylie because she is an insiration to music. she has devoted her entire life to music and to be honest she is better deserving than otheres she has not been in the press for annything bad and always holds herself well. also its not the quality of her voice that won her that award even though i think her voice is amazing its the message of the songs if you really listen to the lyrics there is a message that she gets across to an audience. she connects with people.

Over all not a bad night, TT deserved their awards, was a bit disapointed that Mika got an award, I dont think we should humour him as he will probably just blow away soon. Glad KT Tunstall WON NOTHING!!, shes another one that can just blow away. As for Adele/ Nash..well they are young they will handle being plunged into obsurity ok. Kylie, well she could win a marathon at the mo as everyone feels sorry for her. Artic Monkeys, probably the only ones that are part of a real band so good on them!!
