I say he went there to quickly. No way this little lady is strong enough to resist soft or moderate-hand control at best, or nefarious enough to go for his weapon.
If she got too froggy, a light burst of pepper would have neutralized her just fine. Consider that tazing causes an abrupt fall. She's still the old lady, yes?
There was no reason for him to taze her. She wasn't complying with is wrong on her part but, as you can see he is considerably larger than her. There was no need whatsoever for him to have to taze her. He could have easily subdued her without ever using it.
the reason the cop tazed her was because she was too close to his gun belt and if he subued her him self by say a tackle now the fragile old lady has an at least 190-210 pound officer on her whitch is worst than getting tazed

This was absolutely NOT justified.....she's an elderly lady standing there waiting for him to run her liscense.....she didn't do anything wrong that I saw.....he had no reason to arrest her or taze her.....he's simply being the dick cops are so well known for......I guess if this was your grandmother you'd still feel the same way huh? Your grandma gets stopped for speeding, and is waiting for the tickect.....you still going to think what he did was ok?
Her license came back suspended or she had warrants. I can't understand what the lady on the radio said, but that was the reason for the arrest. The woman knew she was going to jail and that's why she wasn't cooperating.
he was totally justified, not only did she not listen after 5 times of him telling her to step back, she pulled away from him when he tried to cuff her, then she tried to get back into her truck. if the cop woulda let her get back in the truck she coulda sped off and killed herself or someone else. not to mention she coulda had a gun in there. yes the cop was a little impatient and could have done without the tazer but he had a good reason to do what he did.
I must agree with you on that one. If the woman would have simply listened to the officer then none of this would have happened. I'm sure he has to deal with many other people like her on a daily basis but, he should have used something other than a taser. Some poeple just don't know when to listen to the officer and just simply not fight. -sighs- Its a messed up world out there.
I wish there was follow up with these cases because I would love to know if any of these sadistic power mad bastards had to face any disciplinary charges.

I must agree with you on that one. If the woman would have simply listened to the officer then none of this would have happened. I'm sure he has to deal with many other people like her on a daily basis but, he should have used something other than a taser. Some poeple just don't know when to listen to the officer and just simply not fight. -sighs- Its a messed up world out there.
