Why does everyone bitch and moan on these cutscenes about the armor not stopping things? Do they realize that all current plans for modern armor exists not to block incoming projectiles but instead to carry heavier weapons? You know, like the Impaler? And obviously the units in game are representative, not literal.

Adjust your glasses and go back to telling us why lightsabers won't work.

1:30 wow armor is useless. Normally it would take 4 bursts for Raynor, as a marine (12-16 damage), to kill a single Terran Marine, 45 HP. In this cutscene, it barely takes 3 hits.

@CodeR2Gundam00 Its because reality (however fiction) =/= gameplay. And the CMC armor is for defeating small arms. At close range the gauss guns can go through the marine armor.

and they may have used armor braking bullets. and the main use for the cmc armors are protection against small arms or middle armes over more distance and the clawes and acids from the zerg. the other main things are increasing the strenght and the movment speed; protect agaist negativ influences from the outside; containing food first aid cis and stims and allow the use of the HUD and the radio.

@Keither09 Its for the zerg. The zerg claws or atleast some strains, have smaller claws ant the armor is too thick for them to penetrate to the skin. Marines easily kill other marines because they have Armor Piercing rounds to deal with zerg heavy carapace, such as an ultralisk. So pretty much they are firing ultralisk rounds into them.

@faleru they wear power-suits, so its not necessarily armored. its so that they can survive in harsh conditions while wielding huge-ass Gauss-rifles. in game you can see that without upgrading them the marines have 0 armor.
