  • The classiest acid house tune of all time. Brings a tear every time : )

  • Been hunting this one like a hound for years.......

    Shout to my Dowgs....

  • I must have been old fashioned but i didn't need "pills " to appreciate this music? Only had my faithful radio and pirate stations to hear this stuff, couldn't get to clubs

  • @mulequeenchessy True!

  • @lorasavelli AHH! someone else who didn't need pills?? thought i was the only one, nice one

  • @mulequeenchessy just the music no pills needed

  • @mulequeenchessy Fair enough. Appreciating the music is one thing, but feeling the music resonating in every bone until the music and body are in complete harmony is another.

  • @juniwilliams Well, thats something i will never be into , i can love this music and feel this music in my own way without " help", may seem odd to you but each to their own

  • @mulequeenchessy "back then" I thought I needed drugs to appreciate house music ...its funny, I can listen to it now and enjoy it just as much...maybe even better without any "help".

  • @mulequeenchessy get pills fool

  • Timeless classic

  • Heard this late night...in NYC radio station..... house music mastermix

  • I feel sorry for the few people who voted they didn't like this.. what you're missing!! Absolutely the best,.. reminds me of when my first lover passed away I played this all day and Trippin' On Your Love by A Way Of Life. Thanks for posting this so long ago!

  • 3:30 ow my god its sarah jessica parker!

  • @nicsevern AHAHAHAHA!

    Well funny!

  • The woman's vocals/chants in the background make this song really enchanting.

  • @MrMoterKid That is a sample of "O Euchari" sung by Emily Van Evera, and yes it was part of what made this song great, just felt in the mood to give it a listen again, and saw your comment :)

  • this is a great vocal track.

  • Excellent song - vibrant and meditative at the same time. An inspiring piece of work.

  • I love the Tom Middleton's Remix cuz it has that sadness sound then this one is quite good but not that good.

  • This guy should sing some Nick Drake songs. Anyone else hear it???

  • Choooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooon!

  • This song doesn't even sound like it was released 21 years ago.

  • may have posted this before but i love this song.

  • yea sunrise had a rave in 1989 it was in an aeroplane hanger they put this on just as the sun was coming up but they opened doors as you looked throu the hanger they had the back doors open so you could the sun coming up over the countryside just as we all started to come up on our pills awsome shame you were 5 yrs late awsome track

  • @thegoon1964 not bein funny m8,but you was only just comin up on yer pills at dawn?

  • @rossiwilton - Ah, you see, back in the day, when pills were proper pills and music was proper music, you knew the hallmark of a good bean was when you dropped at 10pm and didn't come up until dawn and then spent Sunday completely off your box watching Songs of Praise and Antiques Roadshow.

  • @vapourspace1 Dunno where you got yr beans from mate but they sound pants. I hava a strong preference for beng off my box on a dancefloor rocking to some quality tunes not Sunday telly. But you did used to need only one, I remeber when 'double dropping' used to be considered totally risque, kids today do that down the pub before they even go out. By the way, everybody, drugs aint cool (anymore), just say no

  • @fezzilla lol - I was joking mate, taking the piss out of all of us old sweats who bang on about how great it all used to be. I'm of the same era when double dropping was for the total headcases. ;-)

  • @fezzilla -you`ve read my mind!!! ;)

  • @vapourspace1 btw, sounds like burtonwood airbase, that (the goon) who my original comment was aimed at, was on about. i think fezilla hit the nail on the head about the pills n that tho! lol. are you and the goon friends btw!!

  • I first heard this song in 2009 after hearing sweet harmony on the radio. This song is so great that i listenend to it everday that year. The funny thing is school started early in the moring so when i was listening to this song ...the sun was rising. (15)

  • I started listening to this song in 2009 - i put it on my ipod and listened every day that whole year ... its a great song i loved the vibe

  • Is that the original? I guess it is... I just purchased a version from 1997, with a deep house version, not bad but not as smoooooth as this one, so I'm a bit disapointed. So I looked for the original on Discogs, much more expensive : (

    Excellent track, love it

  • The bassline is very similar to that on Chip E. - Time To Jack (1985).

  • 89" was when this was gettin dropped...

  • Classic!!!!!!!

  • quality

  • @hiltoable agreed ;-)

  • The Rising has to come :-) It will be shining!

Thank you Beloved for every masterpiece!

  • Love this and Sweet Harmony. Memorable stuff.

  • Unbeatable

  • rave-radio new site playing all these kinda tunes, also looking for djs :)

  • Great groovy bassline, most of those todays 'producers' can't even make something half good as this one with all those abletons and other shit. How sad.

  • whatever happened to the beloved? beautiful track so mellow ....i get a chill every time i hear this.music was so much better back then,a cliche but so true.

  • @bchewy94

    Die EMO Die

  • @bchewy94 bell end!

  • this sounds horrible...

  • @bchewy94

before your time, what sounds horrible to you is bliss to many others. Shame you can't appreciate beautiful music like this

  • @bchewy94 Troll. Heh

  • this takes me back. Had a NAD 3020A amp and pair of mk1 LInn Index speakers and i remember how fluid and natural it sounded. This song just seemed to relax me and still does. Yes i know i sound like an audio fanatic. Its more the fact how i felt at the time and how music and building better systems and changing components helped make better memories of music. Its a timeline then. Ive discovered great music through great, famous audio equipment.

  • Fucking beautiful.... I remember listening to this a LOT as a little kid :D and I have just discovered it again. Goosebumps. And maybe a tear or two... :)

  • sunrise rave...outside...the sun was coming up...89...a beer in one hand...few pillls down me neck..... georgous bird 's tongue down me throat.....life was very good back then...(now) mortgage.....car to pay for....learning the knowledge of london to be a black cabbie..... missus don't stop moaning! anyone got a time machine!! • this is a timeless classic

  • I was 7 years old when this came out.... and thanks to God and internet i could hear this song in 2000 first time in my life! it's such a shame that our radio doesn't play this song here in Hungary. One of The Beloved's BEST songs! Respect to THE BELOVED forever!

  • top tune n memories o the unity through dance at the time..dancin together n huge smiles :-)

  • enchanting track - only 7 at the time and i remember it well - everlasting

  • 1988 .Didn,t know what we were in the middle off. Respect to the biggest time for music. A revolution.

  • Great chill out tune, with a great vid!! They don't make ''em like this anymore...

  • An Ibiza beach party, at dawn, 1994, aged 18 with a couple of close pals and big group of smiley people I'd just met... DJ threw this down, and the beach went wild as the sun came up. Even today I cannot find the words to express those five minutes - 'magic' just doesn't do it justice... one of my defining moments in the dance scene...

  • @vapourspace1 I wanna be there.

  • @vapourspace1 you expressed yourself wonderfully - I've had similar moments. Thank you for your words

  • @clicksmarter Thanks Chap - my decade in the scene gave me a lot of spiritual moments, even more happy moments, some downright scary moments, and a whole heap of very strange moments too. The ones that remain in my mind now are the biggies; Dave Angel @ Dreamscape VI, Alison Limerick live in NYC, Lenny Dee @ Universe 92, and the utter madness of Club Tresor in Berlin. Oh, and those hot summer Saturday nights in 94 on the ceiling of Club UK ;o)

  • @vapourspace1 No way, I had the same breathtaking experience in Ibiza summer 1999! I was 19. That moment was a life-changer for me.

  • @vapourspace1 so nice to read your story...

  • @vapourspace1 Crazy times xxx

  • @vapourspace1 1994!!!!??? A classic never dates!

  • @vapourspace1 missed it, damn, I think I must have still been in Pacha ;-)

  • @vapourspace1 I love when music means something and you've summed it up pretty well my friend!

  • @vapourspace1 Was that in or near Cafe Del Mar? It's paradise for music and for someone who wants to dance.

  • Such a great song...timeless as it takes me back......ahhhh all those rushes !

  • what a classic. its a shame todays shite wont sound like this in 20 years time

  • @bigbosswest totally know what you mean mate, im only 16 but i love this stuff check out an artist called hurts, new band which make pre 90's funk/house. there are a few decent artists these days in the house and trance seen but few and far between!

  • TUNE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • As epic today as it was 20 odd years ago... The Bevolved were very underrated. Their lyrics were often amazing...

  • @harimaugoblok Yeah, the Beloved weren't bad either!!

  • chills down my spine everytime i hear this

  • This takes me to a place I really love to be.

  • I remember the first time I heard this song I was 20 and 20 years later it's still beautiful!

  • Totally agree with alleywatson & pikemaster1972 - I was 12 years old when this came out and this still send a chill down my spine whenever I play this awesome track (and any other Beloved track) - thanks for uploading the vid

  • I love this tune.

  • This reminds me of the Pet Shop Boys, especially "Being Boring." Beautiful music.

  • @kinglear

    I agree wit u, man!!!

I love Pet shop Boys songs!!!

    This song takes me high!!!

    Thanks for remind me, man!

  • Absolutely outstanding. You just don't get music of this quality anymore - not even close. Such a special moment in history back then, when it comes to electronic music.

  • lol remember having the munchies at a rave nipping to the shop and eating 2 packets of ham ffs lol

  • Yep hello orbital. Great stuff this, was great to be 18.

  • reminds me of the long drive home after a good rave

  • I love this as the original version - or what I understand to be the original

and that "Fry's Turkish Delight" bit goes SO well in this ...

  • i remember this track being played on starlight fm in birmingham at 2 am and the dj was giving all the ravers his respect with this in the background ... those amazing days are gone forever ..........never forgotten

  • Wr have Jon Marsh dj ing for us at OM, Brighton on May 8th. Its on Steine street and its free entry. He will playing some cool deep house. The night is hosted by Beatsworkin and Reform. Your all welcome to come down

  • This song still makes the hairs on my neck stand even after 20yrs, magical

  • @MrWetpole So right!

  • Awesome track ! ... love the footage !! Thanks for sharing ! (O:

  • GENIUS!!! something that carried us all through the hum drum days after acid house!!!

  • Hard to believe this was over 20 years ago. Still sounds good to my ageing ears.

  • this song kinda creeps me out. but i still like it. its on my chilled spirit cd.

  • I THINK that De\Vision ahd Green Court are better little bit in that song :)

  • This song is a moment of pure bliss. Learn to love your secret life. Its just the sun rising.

All original acid house crew. Love is just a state of mind.

  • this cd (happiness) is my fave cd of all time. this song is one of the best on the cd but the entire cd is amazing. this song is so transending.

  • another night of insomnia! maybe this will help!

  • awesome music for yoga sun salutations

  • Moody and brilliant.

  • Hello & Your Love Takes Me Higher were great tracks, but this is easily their best, and all 3 of these blow Sweet Harmony out of the water.

  • I only knew Sweet Harmony, but this track's also great; It's both kinda acid house and chill out. NICE OLDSCHOOL 90's!

  • Gr8testmuzic check out Orbital "Belfast"

  • @CeltJas Thank you. I didn't know Orbital. "Belfast" is nice but a lil boring. I listened "Satan" and it sounds like Prodigy.

  • @Gr8testMuzic Old School 1989!

  • Yes I was only 5 but I've always been a music lover or "mélomane" in french.

  • 1989

  • pure poetry

  • Top Tune, ahead of its time. Good for chilling but up beat too.

  • Fucking tune!!

Apparently the lead singer was on the shortlist to play John McLane in the first Die Hard before Bruck Willis got there.

  • Awesome tune, I still listen to the Happiness album in my car from time to time, great album , great band a style and blend of music all on its own.

  • When are The Beloved gonna make some more great songs like this?!

Anybody who enjoyed this video should check out 27EJ's "THE SUN RISING" and DanceMusicGod's "Sun Rising extended mix"

  • from which album is this from please?

  • @Dancefloorpro - This track is from the Happiness album

  • @s3cTioN thank you sir

  • I remember this from the album Happiness, just a great listen all the way through, this is a fantastic song, If you like this try and find the album, you won't be dissappointed.

  • Speak global English mate, then we can understand you.

  • i remember seeing it at 4 am or sumthn like that in the morning for the first time and the sun was rising(it was summer) and the video made me see how insignificant a man is, in the whole perspective and how the sun rises everywhere else in the world, real deep stuff, but there are only 2 words about the song " Fuckinˇ A "

Aveti alte pareri? P.S.- NU VREAU PARERI DE MANELISTI :)
