This whole album sounds like he was trying to capture a similar feeling to Twin Peaks, but he came a little short, or went too far off in another direction or tried too hard.

Half Mast came closest in my opinion, and this album isn't bad by any means, but it doesn't hit where it's supposed to. It tries to be a lot dreamier than it feels.
