It's actually quite safe to hold liquid nitrogen in your mouth for a few seconds. When the liquid nitrogen gets close to your tong or sides of your mouth it instantly evaporates and provides a small barrier between your mouth and the liquid nitrogen.

It's the same principle as sprinkling water on a very hot pan and having it "dance" across the surface.

Actually, liquid nitrogen can get on your skin and not even harm you. It is a matter of how long you allow it to contact your skin,You can put drops of this on your hand/body and it will just roll off like water. He does put it in his mouth for a split second and spit it out. It wasn't there long enough to cause damage. If he would of left it there a second or two longer then it would freeze him. You can move your hand fast thru fire and not get burned. Just don't hold it in/on there.
