Hi SurfThrashGuitar ! That was pretty sweet! No doubt - you´re no rookie on the the guitar, but the mixing/mastering could be better. Also - the distorted guitar makes it sound too 80´s ! Try a dry blues or a mild rock drive distortion.

My main style is metal, and as far as sounding too '80's'..I'm not sure what you mean, listen to any metal band today and I'm pretty sure they don't use bluesy tones for leads :). And good luck getting that end dive with a blues tone. You are envisioning a more bluesy version I think, which is cool, just not how I chose to do it, your criticism is constructive though so ty.
