  • OMFG. Really? To the comments below, pot HAS been linked to schizophrenia...once, in the 1930's for fuck sakes, in the movie reefer madness where it said some ridiculous stat like "140% of marijuana users will develop schizophrenia". I forget the actual figure, but it was over 100%. Yeah, that makes sense. Schizophrenia and marijuana have NO link, or, if they do, it is certainly NOT one of causality.

  • .....there is no profit for corporations in common law.

I find it hilarious, as to how many people have been duped by the legal system....and to believe that gov is in our best interests. lol

  • Cannabis = Schizo? lol

I guess i went nuts years ago ...and writing a math exam while under the influence never really did bring up my mark by 20%. lol

Well, i prefer the use of cannabis over a cocktail of chemicals produced by big pharma for profit. It's funny how poison is not illegal, but a harmless plant is.

Either way, all Acts and Statutes are all BS and should be burnt. Common Law (Natural Law) worked for hundreds of years. So what is wrong with it now? ....Oh! That's right...

  • @trybal007 I got 98%, the highest mark in the class on my sociology exam while high this June, haha. I was so stoked

  • @KendrickMan Good stuff! Now go take your Ritalin! :P

    Peace and cannabis. :)

  • you all need to get off your magical carpet ride. just b/c alcohol is now a controlled substance doesnt mean its ok and safe to use. if they legalize pot , it doesnt mean its ok and safe to use.

by the way im not reading some hippie bullshit book. you are the very people who will bring this beautiful country down, when at this very moment we are trying to rebuild ourselves. makes me sick to think come clowns actaully want to do make this legal. whats next ? legalize meth and crack?

  • @courtsm3, the point is people are free to consume alcohol, yet science has shown pot is far less addictive/harmful. How would legalizing pot bring the country down? People already smoke it, and the country is fine, and Amsterdam has it legalized, and their drug use/crime rates are lower than ours. Science doesn't support legalization of meth/crack, so that's an idiotic comparison. Plus, 60% of all illegal drug users, solely use marijuana. I'd argue you're a clown if you support the drug war.

  • THC in pot was 1-2% in the 60-70's, now its 18-20%. studies have shown that smoking pot in young teens have triggered schizophrenic episodes and even increased permanent schizpprenia with regular use. ( seen it first hand btw )

so 60% percent of crime will be reduced if we legalize pot? i beg to differ, i can guarantee you this, 99% of those who sell and traffic pot , sell and traffic cocaine and other hard drugs. i'd argue youre a clown for thinking it will lower drug/crime rates.

  • @courtsm3, obviously you're against legalization and nothing I say will change your mind. However, you do have some misconceptions that need correcting. Pot dealers don't necessarily sell hard drugs too, and most only sell pot. Potheads don't want to be around crackheads, meth addicts, etc, therefore they find someone that only sells pot. Crime would go down with legalization, that's a fact(look at Portugal and Amsterdam). Stronger weed means you smoke less, it's not more addictive/unhealthy.

  • The schizophrenia study has only shown a "potential link", and even if it's true, it's obviously not that common(I don't know a single schizo, but know almost a hundred pot smokers). Plus, there's no difference in rates of schizo in countries with high drug use in comparison with those without. The study also says teens are most susceptible, which is another reason for legalization/regulation. Lots of military guys smoke(I live near base Petawawa), so I'd urge you to chat with them about it.

  • Pet. is a shit show from what ive heard, but thats another story. yea if they were to chat with me would be unwise if they value there careers.

pot has triggered schizo in teens, this is now medical proof, it was on national geoghraphic channel. medically , i dont disagree with it, but it is still an illegal substance in north america. get over it for the time being

  • @courtsm3, over 50% of the Canadian population supports legalization of pot. Have you studied ANYTHING about marijuana? How drug laws came into effect in the 1st place? Did you know they were racism based, and to eliminate competition for the DuPont and Hearst families companies? Did you know that the drug enforcement budget is 500 million in Canada, and 400 million of that is used to prosecute marijuana offences? That doesn't leave much money left to go after coke and meth dealers.

  • why do you smoke pot? is it a social thing? addiction? the high? what is it? i dont get it, because well maybe i know of better things to do with my time.

  • I checked out your profile. You have fun with your cars, and military. I'll bet you watched Downfall and enjoyed it (I did too) Maybe in the summer you play a little paintball (Lots of fun) Instead of paying tax dollars to put people like me in jail, Let me pay more. My recreational drug is less dangerous than Alcohol or tobacco. Prohibition is the problem not Cannabis. I am the guy who will go to jail for 2 years for helping a dying friend. is that a good use for tax dollars?

  • whats downfall? yea i use simunition which is basically a chalk round that hurts like hell , but no paintball, i pay taxes and im spending the next 5 years of my life and possibly another 15 years protecting and serving this country by any means possible. your bitching about 2yrs in jail for willingly breaking the law? with all respect , we are canadians and we have the priviledge of speaking freely. if something was to happen on our homeland, pot smoker or non , rest assured i will help you

  • Downfall was a movie. Hey, congratulations on getting into the armed forces, I have a relative that tried to get in and he failed. My dad served this country in WW2. Thank you for your service of this country. If you are headed for Afghanistan I hope you stay safe. Ya, I do whine a lot. We are both lucky to be Canadians. We have a good health care system, and our Ottawa bureaucrats saved Canada from the economic melt down that happened in the states. Stay safe courtsm3.

  • i think any drug is a problem big shot. dont sugar coat bullshit. drug dealers want the easy money, legalizing pot wont stop them. these people cant put 1hr into a real job. i have a family full of police officers, and i hear the stories not a single one of you has heard. these people will stop at nothing to produce, traffic and sell illegal drugs. isnt pot were most heavy drug users start at??? YES

  • If you're worried about drugs my friend, you should be most worried about the ones we're not allowed to choose whether or not to take, such as PBDE's (Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers) This is a chemical added to consumer electronics, furniture, clothes, carpets etc.. This drug attacks your thyroid, and also causes brain damage and sterility. Every one of us including you is surrounded with it, it accumulates in our fat cells.

BUT IT'S STILL LEGAL IN CANADA

    and you're worried about pot.

  • um courtsm3 you need to take a breath and calm down. 1. you don't have many alcohol bootleggers anymore. Prohibition is the problem.

    2. read the book Marijuana is safer, so why are we driving people to drink. it contains facts about Cannabis. Cannabis is much safer than booze. Booze kills. Cannabis heals.

  • all taxes will go to healthcare :)

we will need it and dont bitch to me in your elder years about how i should of told you so

btw the drug dealers will continue to produce, traffic and sell drugs. take away the pot, they will just move onto the next big thing. have you ever thought of that ? or just the fact you all like to get high?

  • @courtsm3, 60% of all illegal drug users, solely use marijuana. There would be no "next big thing" if pot's legalized, as there's no market for it. Do you have a problem with people getting drunk, or only high? Science has proven drunk is far worse, so I'm just wondering if you're against it too?

  • yes! right on. confront this evil hypocrite

Bill C-15 is an evil bill the Liberals voted for Fuck You Iggy. NDP for you and me.

the Liberals want to put me in jail for a mandatory 2 years

    Prohibition has failed.

Iggy and Harper need to accept Reality.

and , legalize it regulate it and tax it

  • @copcorona, I agree with you totally, but don't forget that it's the Liberals, NDP and Bloc in the Senate that were against, or trying to modify Bill C15, in relation to marijuana especially. Senator Larry Campbell(Liberal) was one of the most outspoken about this Bill. Liberals outside the Senate say they support the Bill so they don't get labelled soft on crime by the Conservatives. In the Senate they don't have to worry about re-election, and can make educated decisions.

  • okay Skinzilla, you are right. Libs, and Cons in the senate shot down bill C - 15. They were about to pass a modified version of the bill when Harper went all prorogation on us. Thank God for Harper's insane appetite for power!
