The sword he is using is from HandMadeSwords......its about $200....its not a bad blade (i own one) but if you want slightly cheaper, try a Paul Chen Pratical Katana (about ~ $150) Both great swords.
You should let me teach you. I can slice something like a sapling or such and it doesnt even fall till you push it. So fast a strike it cant be seen. Battojutsu rocks.

About ... 80 bucks if I recall correctly, cheap mono steel swords, they're not the best thing - but they cut!

try ebay, Handmadesword sells masahiro and furubushidoo swords for very reasonable amounts, i ordered mine from them and it only cost a total of $60.
