Dude, this is NOT Insane. I have been playing the Boss solo myself. After you hit her with the hammer of dawn she comes back upon the map 3 times, and you are asking if this is when you need to shoot her? The same when she jumps up on the tower, and you are asking if you can hit her with the hammer of dawn now? I´m a good gears gamer and it took me 20 times, so if it took me 20 times, it will take you at least 20 times as well. Further the points with the therons, however already mentioned...

Lol everyone stop being retarted have one friend join in on regular campaign on casual and you be on insane the person on insane just take cover the entire time and let the casual player kill it then you will beat it on insane easiest way. Takes 3 minutes at the most to beat the boss this way on insane.

it`s not impossible, just killed her :D all you need to do is take cover behind the walls of the elevator you got in, gives you an almost impenetrable 360 degrees of cover, then fry the hell out of that fucking bitch!! :D

i can honestly say 4 was easyer my tricks was to stay in this cemi circle thing and shoot the hell out of the boss with the others around the map. but it was luck not that much palace gaurds did spawn we just killed the screachers. :D was gona get a heart attack when we killed her..

This is legit! After 2 hours of trying to get the 4 coop achievement we gave up, but decided not to give up so started a private game on Insane, and killed her solo! It's alot easier than playing 4 players, she doesnt take as much firepower to get down, and there is also not as many enemies spawning! Did it on the first try after all those attempts on 4 player mode. Now I just need to finish it with 4 players.. That's insanely hard though.. but gotta keep trying :D

I dunno, im not sure if this is legit, it can be done, and im not saying he cant, but i find it suspicious that 1) hes not getting his ass shot off by Palace Guards, and 2), he survived a hit from the Tempest, i can almost guarentee thats IMPOSSIBLE on Insane, but, you never know, he couldve done it legit and just have been REALLY lucky.

I recommend restarting the level and killing every shrieker that appears. I did that and didn't have to worry about them when Myrrah was on the tower.

I've been trying to beat this wench for just over an hour now and i'm starting to get pissed off.

Firstly if I blind fire like you do, I die. Even in cover the beam kills me so I have to move to the opposite side of the pillar. Apart from that there are craploads of therons that shoot me across the level, shriekers that shoot through the tower and dumb as fuck AI that swamp me and attract death.

I wish it had been as kind to me as it was to you in the vid. I'd have done this by now...

I haven't personally beaten this yet (unfortunately I had to quit for the night before finishing), but one thing I tried and worked extremely well was right after the checkpoint, run to the right and find the elevator that you used to get up there and cover on the outside, blindfiring her. If you straff left and right when she moves, she can't hit you, and the guards ignore you completely. The only problem is I rush to get a new hammer and die >.< Otherwise it works great.

@XxTh33ndxX Solo is easier because even if a bot teammate gets downed they can be revived. There is more margin for error because you don't have to worry about someone dying and reloading a checkpoint. When you have 4 teammates, if one dies you all reload checkpoints. The AI is there to *distract* the enemies so you can do what you gotta do.

This boss battle is unlike anything I've ever played. Luck plays a big part in it. I got my ass handed to me in hardcore, & playing it on insane, there were playthroughs that were impossible, literally. But then occasonally, I'd have a go where everything was manageable & I never would have thought it was on insane, but it was. It was tough but fair, & a lot of fun.

Dude, some tips of how killing her? I tried even with mutators and she's not hard, those who are hard are the guards, they are a pain on the ass.

@cubbex just chill by the gazebo. its from the left of where you start. and when she's down, use that time to refill ammo and down the theron guards. don't kill them, down them. your teammates run over to downed enemies so that means they will follow you more.

@TheCrimsonAssasin actually sometimes barely any guards spawn, i beat it alone on insane also and when i did it only a few guards spawned and once killed they never did again, Lazygames is right it is based on luck, but you are right about the part where she talks about genocide, but depending on how much damage you do to her and how many times you get her down she may only go on the building twice like she did for me, and after that if enough damage is dealt you can kill her before she says it

you turned down the difficulty after you apparently gave up for a bit... i can tell because the bullets did less damage and there were less guards shooting at you... also i have played this boss battle enough times to know that after she talks about genocide, the next time she goes up on the tower she talks to marcus and basically tells him that the locust and humans are very similar which didnt happen in ur fight for some reason

@Lazysgames i watched the video again and there was no achivement awarded to you for beating it on insane.... and learn to read my comments properly... i said AFTER you took a pause (which is at 10:54) there was a time skip to what you called "when you beat the boss" So the point is you stopped recording the video and you turned down the difficulty to hardcore and then resumed recording the video to make it seem like you beat it on insane.. thats why you didnt get a achivement for insane, fraud

@CabezonGOW None in co-op. I wouldn't recommend 4 players for the boss, there is just to many ways to fail that way. You can't get downed on insane so if one person dies its over. Solo is definitely the way to go.

I think I just got lucky because I started a "public party" and then some of my friends joined me... I don't know why but the guards stopped coming when the Tempest started to climb the tower, also I used 2 mutators, the one that increases explosions and the active reloads

@LegitXRhythm Stay near the gazebo (sp?) and your teammates. This whole final boss battle is based on luck. Sometimes the guards target you and sometimes they don't. If you stay near your teammates they should distract them enough to either give you room to run away or shoot the queen.
