Applesac 'ColcaSac' Macbook Sleeve Review

I bought the Colcasac Uintah model for my Macbook Air. It weighs 0.8 lbs!!!! The stupid thing weighs almost a third of my whole computer. Waste of money, I do not recommend it.

update: just want to let you all know i just ordered one of these for my ipad2 and besides the horrible customer service and lack of picking up the phone calls i placed they sent me a case with a different material, they said when i finally got through to them that they changed the design.. horrible the one i got. and the fit was bad too and they didnt ship till 2 weeks later when i called them again.

i ordered one of these 10 days ago, they never pick up the phone and they still havent shipped yet i got a tracking number 6 days ago in my email... very unreliable company.

hey, i bought one of this too thanks to your review, love it but i found an easier way to clean the inside. Just turn it inside out and it'll be so much easier

looks like the kind of material that traps dirt/dust and creates more microscratches. And it dosent look to protect against shock. Still a good design if you need to stuff your book into luggage

I have/just got the new MacBook polycarb unibody... Do you think, size-wise, that it would fit just as well as a 13" MBP or older MB? The new one like I have is just shaped differently, and is a little longer, I think? Thanks for your input. (: (I've been looking at the black colcasac for my MB...)

how strong is the velcro? I understand its for easy access but what if i hold it upside down, will it fall. Plus velcro will worsen over time. Any comments?

I was going to buy the Fabrix Black Suit when I found Applesac. I'm from Utah and they're located about 50 miles from me so I was like hey let's buy local. Bought the Black Colcasac. Very Disappointed when I bought it. Should have waited a month for the Fabrix case.

Well I got it in the mail and of course your first impression is the packaging. Very poor packaging. open it up and I see a huge crease going down the pocket on the front, like an indentation. then I put my macbook in it and I notice the pocket was stitched on crooked. also there are spots on it where it looks like they did a very poor job stitching the fabric together and it looks like just splotches of fabric sitting there.

Thanks - no, the fluff doesn't get stuck on the macbook. The black one does indeed look very smart, would love to get my hands on it :D

Applesac has thicker padding. I'm not saying it because I like the Applesac better - it genuinely has a thicker padding. Hope that helps ;)

Its not cheap. If I wanted to make that, I would have to put a lot of time and effort into making a home made sleeve. I wouldn't want that thus the reason why I bought it online. Its just like saying "I can make a Mac myself - I dont need to buy it from Apple".
