@sasytastic12345 It's an '01, but has a taller shock from an '85 with a reservoir, and CR125 front forks/brakes/wheel. Sits about 2" taller than a stock 200, and is a little stiffer too.

@crackcrack2 crf250's have much more horsepower, the xr250, and xr200's are both full of monster torque, but the crf250 can destroy a 125, and out run a 250 xr no problem

As a person with a spinal injury from a MX accident and can no longer ride, I hope you two riders start wearing helmets. Helmets won't keep you from a spinal injury but will keep you from a head injury.

Yeah, I LOVE old Hondas... :) I'm rebuilding a '86 XR600R right now, most of it is done, just waiting on the last few parts to start putting the engine back together, they are supposed to be here tomorrow in fact. I just got a Jardine RT-4 pipe in the mail today, just like the one I had on the 200 in this video. (only larger) lol Getting ready for the summer!

My first bike was a 1979 XR250. Bought it new in the fall of 1980, then went to a 1981 CR125R, then to a 1982 XR200R. The very last bike I had before I crashed was 1982 CR250R. Loved each and every one of them.

XR's of old rock. I envy your desire to ride and fix old XR's. I miss mine. Stay safe and have fun.

I am looking at getting a 1996 Honda XR200R, but I heard that the suspension doesn't hold up to any jumping at all, I'm 5'7" and 173 lbs, is it a good idea?

I'm not sure when they changed, but the newer bikes have shorter suspension and less travel, no adjustment in the back. The older 200s were a a little better on the front, and much better rear shock. On this one I bought the older shock, it bolts right onto the newer bikes, but you have to come up with a way to mount the reservoir. I had the front fork off of an older CR125 for the better shocks and disk brakes too. I weigh about 150.

@rider9119 Jardine universal. I used a DG headpipe for a '83-'85 ATC200X and made a midpipe to join them. I also had to cut the last bend off the header, turn it, and weld it back on.
