Albanians at the time had no real country, living like tribal people. It was the communists who made Albanian into a modern state, and in 1969, all religion was made illegal in Albania.

Nothing Albanians claim burn me inside, but the videos I do really make Albanians upset. The sad thing is Albanians feel envious of all the attention Ancient Greece is getting. Don't believe? In all the libraries I visited in Montreal, there are large sections on Ancient Greece. For Illyria, there is 1-2 books at most.

@cambsuk, Albanians are a museem only of a cutlure that predates civilization. It is a semi-nomadic way of life, living off the produce of cattle. This was how we all lived before the invention of cities, of literature, of history, of monarchy. We can see that Albanians have been outside of civilization, even though they were eventually absorbed by all the civilizations of Europe by force, they still reject it as foreign and prefer to live 'free'.

The main part of it, like the gramar, the forming of the words and many of these categories that form a lenguage is orginal, the rest did change during the times especially the vocabulary. But this is a known fact for every lenguage, they change during the times. Shakespeare's English compare to the modern one now have gone through drastic changes. Latin to italian..
