  • where do you find green anoles please answer

  • @ichamp124 if by buy them pet co,petsmart if by fin them ,Texas,Florida Cuba places like that

  • I really love anoles. They're so sleek and minimalistic in design, not very showy at all except for the red flap under the neck. I just find anoles very appealing from a visual standpoint.

  • I always ctach them and hold one once I kept it but let it go a week after but dont worry I had the proper care

  • I saw one of those lizards when i lived in Arkansas and i held it. It was also on my birthday.

  • cute anole. check out mine on mu channel :D

  • Pretty good

  • I just rescued 2 anoles from the pet store yesterday, they were going to kill them because no one would buy them. The only reason was because they bit some people? Bonnie and Clyde haven't bitten me yet. I've got Bonnie on my hand while I'm typing, she's a very sweet little girl. :)

  • I cant wait, I am going to get my anole today...I wish it was a gecko though because I am going to name it Gex! XD

  • i got one yesterday 2

  • i bought one at a pet store

  • i live in louisiana and those are EVERYWHERE i mean it if you would go outside theres about a 75 or 80% chance you would see one. i had no idea people kept them as pets so one day i might catch a few baby anoles and breed them

  • @lucarioauraiswithme1 do you have grass or dirt in his cage or whatever

  • I use to have one of these several years back. I have a leopard gecko right now and I want another leopard gecko, and at some point I want to get another one of these. They're so easy to take care of, and they're a nice pet if you ask me.

  • Cool! Green Anoles are all over where we live, but they never cease to interest us. Check out the footage we got of some in our video, Orla's Ark Backyard Safari. They are educational animal videos for kids. At one point we caught one in what we call the observaton jar, but we always release them.

    Nice video! Awesome lizard :-)

  • my famly saved one and his name is olive and only every once or a while he'll turn brown since he doesn't do that much it means hese happy

  • @sweetcakes1661 hi skorpion here i live around these lizards 24/7 and i have been keeping reptiles for 6 years and learning my whole life and when they turn green they are calm and chill but when they turn brown its means that its cranky or you annoying him or it can also mean back off just a little tip.

  • are these just like the normal green lizards that you find in your yard

  • it is a boy green anole

  • dude i have a pet anole on my hand right now lennie is a boy hes little LOL he bet my arm hair

  • wow beautifull in florida were i live, they arent very much, i have found a baby one! it was so cute

  • So you cant keep it as a pet?

  • People complain about captive anoles, when in actuality they have a much better chance of survival when cared for as pets. In the wild, they have shorter life expectancies due to a number of factors, including all of the predators who like to feast on them.

  • we have TONS of those things around here. i could go in my backyard right now and see one. they're so cute :)

  • Hes a cutie

  • When I was down in orlando for a vacation last year I found a green anole chilling out ontop of the blinds to the window! Being from canada (where no reptile could survive the cold :P) I thought this was soo so cool!!! I caught it and released it on the outside of the pool fence thing so it could be free but it was a cool little experience with the wildlife of florida :)

  • @MissBlondieCheer That was a good thing for the lizard because they cannot survive indoors (unless there is an in & out spot).

  • @scw1217 i have caught plenty of anoles, green anoles included and kept them as pets for years they can survive indoors you just have to know how to house them

  • @MissBlondieCheer Anoles are common lizards in the SE United States. We have a little courtyard at the office where I work and they are in the bushes and trees. Anoles are in the same family as iguanas.

  • @MissBlondieCheer Must be alot of cool penguins in ur backyard there in canada.

  • thats sick i might be getting one soon or a bearded dragon...

  • For every 10 brown anoles I saw, I would see 1 green one =/

  • @TrollMasterbation the green anole turns brown when they feel sort of cold, turning brown helps them try to absorb more heat. but there is another species of anoles that are brown.

  • i'm getting one soon... ima get the best home for it, these lizards are just simply amazing

  • I just saved one being held captive between my window and screen about 5 minutes ago.

  • hey i have a little female green anole and the only time shes green is when im holding her any ideas?????

  • @Mr6000hp Mabye she's constapated and she is S*%^ing on you.

  • They are adorable imo, and they catch bugs which is a plus. I have a family of these living under my porch and they play all over the side of the house during mid mornings to afternoon. I love watching them just run around playing. They seem to be getting used to me also. Looks like I got me some little green friends.

  • Wow, he's beautiful :3 I can only see them when I go to Disney World since I live in the Northeast. I want them to live around my neighborhood so I can watch them too TT__TT

  • im getting mine in 2 weeks i cant wait i got liek the best home for him and everything i already went to the pet stroe to meet the lizard and evrything cause he very younge and iv gone evry day scince and now he litterly climbs to my hand im so happy :)

  • I own 3

  • i have two females

  • anoles are beautiful animals i just recently became the owner of one of these beautiful animals but the way i look at is that i rescued it from the life it had b4 being kept just to be sold but now since it cant get back to the wild I'm keeping him in the next best thing

  • I have TONS of them around my house. Even when I was little I caught them. I'm a girl, and I have two brothers (a to year old and a twin) and their terrified of lizards. I always catch them lol

In fact, I caught one just now. It's a little baby one. He lets me pet him, and when I put him down he crawls back onto my fingers :3 Soooo cute!

  • beautiful video

  • o 3o y do some have red flaps or watever on them

  • why do females have small dewlaps?

  • jedi hunter 176 its because to protect thier therritories and show that there ready for mating

  • I Know How to Get A Free Anole Just come to Lousiana ... Theres wild 1s

  • lol why not just buy them, massive breed them, and let them back out into the wild, anoles reproduce so fast they'll never become extinct.

  • Im getting one of these for a pet :D

  • haha i hav 2 green anoles and 2 brown anoles but i caught them where i live they dont sell them

  • I miss my anole. He was so beautiful.

  • Personally, I think this lizard should be free to roam in the wild. It shouldn't be kept as a pet. I live in the Southeastern U.S.A., and I see these lizards around my apartment. It's enough to see them happy in their natural habitat. I think it should be outlawed to keep them as pets. These anoles are peaceful creatures, and we should leave them at peace.

  • @blicksflicks This was a wild anole. :)

  • @blicksflicks My green anole is happy in his cage. Safe from pradators, gets well fed with crickets dusted with calcium and vitamines. If my anole was unhappy I'm sure it would have tried to run after opening its cage everyday when I give it crickets.

  • We have 4 green anoles in my class in fifth grade. iveheld them a LOT. they love to jump and climb on my back.

  • I had one named boo boo head and i had him for 5 years and i could call him and he would come and he lived out in my backyard running around with the other lizards. You could stare into his eyes and see intelligence behind those eyes. I had raised him from when he was a baby. He was one of a kind!

R.I.P boo boo head - dearly beloved

  • is it possible to have 2 anoles in a 15 gallon long? Also is there any way to tell the difference between male and female?

  • I live in SC, so in my backyard, they dwell for free

  • I found one a couple weeks ago he had been hanging out by my door step in the cold got him an aquarium and some supplies and name in Jim, got a video on him check it out

  • We have these guys in the yard. I just saved one from my cat.

  • i remember watching these guys hunt for crikets or however the hell ya say it, i wanted to pet them but they always ran away lol awsome animals

  • a male... awesome... i can only find females around this town

  • lol i got 1 gesterday.....i named it Yoshi XD

  • I plan to get a crested gecko for my 13th birthday (Oct, 31).

  • Why do they extend thier dewlaps? I forgot why.

  • It is generally a way to say, "I am the man," thereby attracting potential mates and running off other male anoles.

  • @scw1217 i think also to change thier temperature

  • @nonamer145 You are probably right.

  • terratotial and mating display iv'e got 3

  • @jedihunter176 i have an anole and its because they want to show off infront of a female or start a fight with a male anole

  • plz check my green anole videos

  • i love the red

  • I'm a lucky person : ) i can find them in my backyard! We have one.

  • Excellant Video, I will try and post my Anole video as responce to this one. yours is A 5* video

  • hey im 12 i have an anole and i take good care of it... it rather likes me :)

  • trust me, anoles have no problem keeping up their numbers. they're about as high on the list for animals at risk for extinction as house finches. (a bird brought over from asia to be a housepet. they're probably what you wake up to. . . annoyingly bright chirpy singing. . . )

  • I just hate the thought of these adorable little lizards being trapped then sold to some 14-year old in a pet store. If this keeps up, green anoles will become as scarce in the wild as horned lizards are now.

  • I much prefer them in the wild myself. This one was wild and not a captive at all.

  • @scw1217 i agree with both off yall i think they should have a law for selling any type of lizard i bought my iguana off a merchant at a mall and gave me so much wrong advice and i bought it like a idiot and to top it off he was like dying sikk well i saved his life and his growing preety good

  • @enricoI Do you think that all lizards shouldnt be sold or just the rare ones.

  • @enricoI I doubt it. There are Anoles everywhere in Texas. People generally don't even realise they are there. Or are too afraid of them to touch them if they do see them. I think what could be the death of Anoles is mostly people using pestsides in their yards and poisoning or killing off the Anole's food. I hate pestcides. Well except for the stuff to spray and kill bees. Those bastards are all around my house and one stung me in my bed.

  • @enricoI they live longer in captive than they do in the wild. One is that they don't have to worry about natural disasters and other predators. And they can easily be breed to increase the population.

  • anoles rock

  • wow, great shot

  • Im a girl who it in love with anoles & other lizards. i just got two anoles 4 Christmas!!

  • I caught a wild anole when I was little. It was like a teenager. He was ALWAYS green like that. I loved him so much. Then I let him go when I moved.

  • I was a regular visitor at a pet store that was selling these. The girl working there was actually afraid of them and asked me to fish one out for her for a customer. We went to the enclosure and I put my hand in to grab one. A second anole jumped onto my arm and ran up my arm, over my shoulder, up my neck and onto my head. The screams coming from the girl sounded like I was being mauled by a tiger *L*

    She didn't last long there.

  • That's how happy a anole should be in captivity!

  • awesome!

  • Wow he sure is a healthy green anole thats for sure!Such a beautiful specimen!

  • Nice video! I love Green Anoles. I often try to photograph or record them in my backyard (along with the Six-lined Racerunner).

  • mine doesnt have that long thing when it breaths or something

  • then its probably a girl

  • i have a anole hes a male and i obught some circkets form pet store and keep them in thier own contianer as secondary pets that i feed him they reproduce and stuff so i get free food but i cant feed him too much or they cant mate

  • i have an anole and i CATCH the crickets to feed him and various other insects. someone give me tips on how to catch flies to feed her! =)

  • I had an anole

He was cool to look at but he wasnt very fun to hold(becuase he wouldnt let me) Im getteing a bearded dragon now becuase they will stay with me trying to hold it

  • that's so cool while you have cool green anoles i only have blue bellies (fence lizards )

  • Most of them are shy and liked to be left alone. I have 2 and there pretty cool.

  • a very nice recording of a wild anole :o

my anoles are very shy in front of the cam :(

  • he looks like my anole, randy. randy is so calm. i love my randy!

  • Wow!

  • I have one as a pet! They're really fun and playful lol :)

  • There are a bunch of those outside of my window. They are so cool. I really want a lizard.

  • I have one as a pet there the coolest

  • they do that because they want to think that they r big just to scare u

  • its called a "do lap". They do this to defend their territory and to mate.

  • why do they do that? that thing with their neck. i've seen some anoles in my backayard and they always do that. i thought it was a mating thing, cause they were mating.

  • anoles are sooo cute i love then. i have three of my own and they will eat right out of my hand when im holding then.

  • i counted about 8 anoles in my backyard and caught 2 a pair...then set them free :)

  • he was awhare of ur pressance and said "FEAR MEH!" with his neack of doom!

  • Great video! I think Green Anoles are adorable.

  • I have two, I ust got one. A boy and a girl (we think) and they are really cool. That one is awesome.

  • These kind of anoles are close to lakes in kissimmee by supprise.

  • Those are in south florida. i see them in my backyard every so often.

  • I had one as a pet, he was called 'Aragorn' (lol?) and he had a long, happy life. He outlived 2 females, and he died alone :-( He was very old (he died of old age) and he was about 4-5 years old (they only live up to like 3-4 years.)

  • They have all but disappeared in the areas where the brown anole has populated

  • beautiful lizard, you're lucky to have them in your backyard.

  • how do you tell their sex?

  • one of them (male/female, i can't remember) has a white stripe down their back.

  • I've never heard of that and never seen that. You can tell by looking at the vent and the males have 2 bump like things on each side of it

  • haha i got 2 of those...well one green one named kenny...and another bahamon anole named Chandler....lol

  • Very cute names. lol

  • @coolerthanyou19 My backyard is full of them. Scarce they are not. I had one as a pet in high school. He was tame friendly and intelligent. I could carry him around on my shirt and he would not attempt to run off. He liked having his throat rubbed with my finger. To feed him I would let him perch on the end of my index finger. I would slowly and carefull approach a bug and he would grasp the end of my finger and tense up. When I got close enough, chomp!

  • awesome anole! whats his name how old is he and what do they eat and what do they like to live in capivity with?

  • It is a wild anole, so no name. :) They eat insects, esp. ants. Green anoles are not seen as often as the more common brown. Their camoflauge helps them to blend right in with the leaves.

  • Nice footage! Beautiful male anole.

  • Nice catch! I think he likes you :)

  • LOL. Thanks. I practically walked right into him, and yes, it seemed he was very curious about me.
