  • Also regarding the oatmeal I found 100 calorie packs of oatmeal maybe it'd help you since Quaker oatmeal is high at 150 cals per serving.

  • Ahahahaha, shrimps are also my safe food :-D Yesterday I bought some muscles cause I thought I needed a small change. But although muscles don't have much calories somehow I just can't manage to cook them. Somehow it makes me scarry *WTF* Well,i still have 2morrow to go until I have to throw them away. Maybe I'll manage it 2morrow.

  • i have the binge foods omg exactly the same stuff just add rice, noodles, ice cream and nuts lol

  • @Raganmae I actually haven't figured out how to do that on mobile yet lol but I think I saw your email on another vid in the comments...would you like me to email that or would you like my info?

  • @OneDay225455 ya my email is raganmae@gmail.com

  • Ok this may sound weird or stalkerish or whatever but I've been watching your videos lately and connecting with them and with you. I couldn't believe it when I heard you say you live near Greenbluff I was like wait WHAT?! OMG she lives near me!! Have I ever seen her?? I want to meet her!! LOL weird and random I know but it's nice to actually see and know that I'm not the only one in this area that has an ED tho I do wish nobody had to go through it.

Also on the subject of binge foods--lately an

  • @OneDay225455 haha no way! that's awesome. Yay we should def connect! Send me a private message sometime and maybe we can exchange phone numbers or something.

  • cereal is the ABSOLUTE WORST trigger for me, oh my gosh. lucky charms are 100% off limits now :p

  • You're so beautiful and I love your accent.

  • maybe you could order your tea online? i've never seen that kind.

i've had lots of safe foods become binge foods--my fat free cornflakes, fat free plain yoghurt (i mix it with cocoa powder and stevia), and oatmeal as well!

  • I used to binge on cereal & once I ate a whole box in 2 days so now I stop buying it & never have it in the house so the temptation is never there. I do miss it though.

  • @catalow333 That's the beautiful thing about recovery! You can reintroduce those foods you used to love but became binge foods for you in the eating disorder. It's so nice to be able to enjoy something like cereal without being afraid you're going to eat the whole box. Best wishes to you in your recovery! It's worth it.

  • Great advice thanks! And the oat meal binge food -totally triggering!! -I'll never eat it again :P but I'm happy that way. :)

  • What was your starting weight and how low did u get? Thanks

  • @MegaAquafina haha I don't throw out that info. I used to say my BMI and I'm ashamed of that now, because it was so eating disordered.

  • oatmeal is my favourite binge food!!!!

  • If it's Carb & Sugar infested It's a binge food for me. Ohh Yes Oatmeal... BINGE FOOD. Add some syrup and Brown SUGAR....dangerous oatmeal dangeous, who would have thought.

  • @gabbygirlxoxo seriously! oatmeal is supposed to be all healthy and "Safe" but add in some of the the good stuff and BAM- it becomes a monstrous binge food :S

  • If it's Carb & Sugar infested It's a binge food for me.

  • my binge foods are grits, cereal, oatmeal, chocolate, bagles , really anything that a "normal" person would eat . my safe foods are salad with fat free dressing , veggies and canalope pineapples and apples and peaches and WATERMELON! anything eles i will purge up

  • I've been watching your videos, and I just wanted to say you're beautiful.

  • Calories calories calories! Don't count them so much! Also a lack of fat in your diet can lead to LOADS of problems for your health! Have those nuts more often

  • uhmmm pretty sure vegies arent filling

  • how much weight do you lose? if you do this 4 times every week

  • your so cute and lovable : )

  • I AGREE ON THE OATMEAL COMPLETELY

  • I loved your vid.. :) i do also drink ALOT of tea, and i LOVE cakes and chokolate and fruit pies to :p.. Chickin is also one of the foods i that are dangoures for me :)

  • Ahh you are so cute! I love your videos! I totally binge on oatmeal. It's such a comfort food for me, mostly when it has brown sugar, because it was the only thing my mom actually cooked for breakfast for me. Most of the time I had to fend for my self haha. Lately even if I eat it plain it is soo tempting to binge. Ack it seems like if I binge on something one time then it atuomatically become a binge food forever and it's practically impossible to be a safe food again.

  • What us ur formspring?

  • Oh my gosh we have the exact same binge and safe foods!

  • awesome video, its interesting to see what foods are safe/bingey for you :)

  • @OnEDayCloser2me Yeah, it's crazy what I end up considering binge food is actually pretty healthy, though I like unhealthy binge food as well :)

  • wow i binge oatmeal too thought i was like the only one ha ha i have also notice my binge food list has grown and my safe food list has shunk to like 4 of 5 things. have to say though my favorite thing to bingis most definatly icecream ilove it so so much .your videowas great keep posting your a geat blogger love all your vidios

  • @justwanabebeautiful I'm glad I'm not the only one who find oatmeal a binge food! And I forgot to mention it, but ice cream or frozen yogurt is a BIG binge food for me too, and especially delicious too. It's funny how our safe food list is very limited while our binge food list includes a large range of foods...Thanks for watching and the feedback!

  • PIE!!! haha i binge on oatmeal too, thats the same thing as muesli yeah? (australian) i should really eat shrimp more often, i used to LOVE them but im always scared of getting food poisoning

  • @nicolek200 Muesli is a bit different actually, but I've binged on that as well. Muesli isn't as common as oatmeal is in America. When my Bristish friends found out we eat oatmeal, they were disgusted because, "Oatmeal is what we feed horses. It's food for animals." haha AND I think you should def give shrimp another shot. It's great lean protein and I don't think it's commom to get food poisoning from them, at least I haven't yet! Just don't buy it from shady ppl! :)

  • @nicolek200 I think their oatmeal is our porridge :D Although muesli is amazing! My damn binge food is peanut butter or chocolate or a packet of tim tams :S

  • @hokeypokeypanda Actually, your porridge is different than our oatmeal...it's smoother and tastes different. Our oatmeal is, as my adopted british mother puts it, what we feed the horses! haha she was so appalled that we eat oats, just warmed up with water or milk to make it mushy.

  • @raganmae hahaha mmmm I'm just thinking of it now....I keep getting images of the mush I used to feed my horse. We had to water it down and make it mushy because she had two missing front teeth when we got her and it was the only way she could eat it without losing a whole heap. :) She was such a funny bugger, it was devastating when we had to get her put down :(

  • wow! yeah, foods that i used to be able to eat without triggering a binge, now are considered my binge foods, basically everything kinda. When im in binge mode i will eat whatever i can get my hands on. I binge on pizza, mac and cheese, cookies, icecream, bagels, cereal.. all junkfood basically.

  • @SadLittlePiggy Yeah, junk food is what I prefer and if I have the option than I'll reach for that first. However, we just don't have that stuff in my house usually. I like how you called it "binge mode" because that's what it is...your mind can think of nothing else.

  • very interesting video............also, FYI, You Tube now lets you go 15 mins

  • @abbeya11 thanks :) and my phone for some reason will only allow me to upload ten minutes worth of video, even though youtube allows fifteen now. Kind of stinks, but oh well. It's probably a good thing because it'll encourage me not to ramble so much ;)

  • Awesome video, i might do a response to this, because you're right, its so interesting how everyone's list is so different. I know for a fact that mine doesn't make sense and can be pretty illogical. I think the most annoying thing for me is that feeling when a safe food suddenly becomes unsafe...

Is creamer just sugar? we don't have that here...hmmm *googles* tehe :-)

  • @rescuelullaby You SHOULD do a response! I'd love that! I really do find how "safe foods" vary from person to person. And YES, I hate that feeling! Like when oatmeal became unsafe for me, or even carrots. Beets are beginning to become unsafe for me as well, simply because I read they're full of sugar. Funny how illogical we can be. Creamer is half and half milk, very creamy. Many creamers here are flavored. My current favs are eggnog latte and peppermint mocha for the holidays!

  • great video. I think it is interesting to see what everyone considers a "safe food" because the list is SO different for each of us! you actually gave me some really good ideas of things to try as safe food. cereal is a BIG binge food for me, I can't even look a t frosted flakes lol.

  • @SoyLatte923 hahaha and a normal person might wonder how odd it is that you can't even look at something as simple as frosted flakes and want to binge on it. I'm glad I gave you good ideas but don't try to balance it. I'm trying too, like allowing myself creamer. I hope you can give yourself some slack too :)

  • Really like your videos!!! And your bangs...which you clearly are not wearing in this video but whatever. My weirdest binge foods are: reduced fat wheat thins, fruit snacks, and balance bars and cliff bars (well any sports bar for that matter).

Coffee creamer is my one food too that I try really hard not to freak out about. It sounds weird but having my coffee every morning makes my mornings more enjoyable, and I HATE black coffee so I need my fat free french vanilla creamer.

  • @WickedXena haha thanks! my bangs have been annoying me lately so I pinned them back :) actually, I've binged numerous times on balance bars and other sports bars too! I wonder if our bodies intuitively know we need the nutrition or something...

And YES- I love my morning coffee too!!! I did it black for awhile but now that I've allowed myself creamer, it's ten times more enjoyable! Great job on letting yourself have it too! It's delicious (current fav: peppermint mocha and eggnog latte)

  • @raganmae I think the balance bar binges have more to do with allowing myself something sweet that is also "healthy" (this avoiding the initial guilt) but then because it's sweet once I start I keep eating. Do the peppermint mocha or eggnog come in fat free? That's my one weird thing about creamer, I will only use the fat free kind.
