  • Freakin amazing!

  • This is called a Cabaret. It is AMAZING. :)

  • Pause at 2:09 and look at the silhouette... absolutely wonderful *sniff*

  • Ohh wow!! now that is AMAZING!!! <3

  • Wait till you see their performance on "So You Think You Can Dance" June 30, 2011

    Absolutely breath-taking !!

  • the lift at 1:32

    OMG

and thats coming from a male dancer of 15 years

i couldnt even dream of doing a lift like that

  • @MrDancer5293 That one was incredible... In fact, all of them were o_O The strength needed to do all of them must be insane :O Why did it end so early? It was getting more interesting -_-

  • ABSOLUTELY IN AWE

  • What song is this? I feel like it's from a movie but I can't put my finger on it

  • they're the current World Professional Cabaret Champions :)

  • More ideas for partner lifts

  • This, in ballroom world, is called theatrical or "cabaret"... it's show dance, but not any particular style. Lots of lifts and drama. amazing! This couple was on a show a few years ago with dancers from all over the world... they're breathtaking and both gorgeous.

  • I love dancing and my fave Style is probably contemporary lol :)

  • this is an acro based pasa double

  • i found what style this is: it is ballroom, and it's called cabaret. this two dancers are eric luna and georgia ambarian, they have won the us national cabaret championship and the world cabaret championship

  • this is a style of ballroom dancing. no idea witch, but it is. this performance was part of a ballroom dance competition i saw on tv once

  • this is not dance. but they are great lifts : ) LOVE IT

  • @LIVGIRL505 actually, IT IS dance. this performance was part of a ballroom dance competition

  • Are they gymnasts as well as dancers? These lifts are fantastic.

  • just... wooow.

  • Its contemporary jazz.

  • @sarina1984xx its a show dance, isn't it?

the point of it is to show off and amaze the crowd

  • @SuperEcho999 Yea it's a show dance... But the style of the dance is called contemporary jazz.

  • she look so light!!!!!!!!!

  • this guy is so strong

  • ... Wow. :-|

  • MOST DEFINITLY COTEMPORARY

  • Its mostly acrobatics.

  • does anybody know where to find the whole dance??

  • good. keep up the good work :)

  • wow they are so good!

  • whoa, that was mind blowing! :) amazing performance. :)

  • OMG! that is amazing :) i wish i could do that so inspirational !

  • Their names are Eric Luna and Georgia Ambarian. They're really nice, I've met them at a few competitions I've been in. I got to dance with Eric, it was really cool :)

  • Wow, all the people who say this isnt dancing are pretty stupid. This is a ballroom variation called cabaret.

  • A very nice Circus act. It isnt dancing.

  • wow...

    are they human or machine???

  • They professionals lol!!!

  • taged by me

  • wow....

    anyone know their names?

  • awesome! they need to take this to the ice!

  • I love how they incorportated lots of different styles of dance (took the best parts of a bunch) and added their own. Very cool. I mean, for example, their were some lifts that are almost exact slowed down copies of swing lifts, and there were some that were very similar to pair skating moves (I'm almost sure I saw a bounce spin in there, but without being on ice). I think that's really neat.

  • I really wish the announcers would shut up. They're really detracting from the beauty of the performance. Nice job though.

  • 1:31 omg i realy need to train more!!

  • k troll

  • god that was beautiful... got me teary eyed ... they selected great music to fit as well...too bad you cut it short at the climax though

  • omg i love it! who are they?

  • This is one part of Ballroom called Cabaret or Theater Arts. The first time I saw something like this was in the 70s. It used to be on TV a few times a year, but now hardly anymore.

  • agree about the hands and feet but my god! them lifts... makes any dance look good

  • I agree with the no dancing part, but your crazy if you didnt enjoy it at all. it was very entertaining, but again, was not real dance.

  • It's rediculous to write that as a comment. The video is here for entertainment purposes, they are entertainers. I don't see where it said they were professional dancers.

The problem with so many dancers is that they are so stuck up they cannot appreciate art, skill and interpretation. Think outside the box and stop being a moany critic!

  • Agreed 100%!

I hate to break it to you, but not every dance has Jazz Hands, Ballet Hands, Blades, or Fists.

And when did we establish a to-the-tee definition of what dance is and isn't?

Do you think they called Martha Graham's choreography dancing back then? Not so much. But look at what it did for us now. If you have any breath-like contractions in your dance, that's where it started.

  • There's nothing wrong with her feet. Also, there is quite a lot of dancing in this.

  • Argh it ended to early!

  • AMAZING. what year was this in?

  • yeah amazing

  • omg. wow. :)

  • Wow! I absolutely love it. I want to learn all of these moves. How is she so graceful? I can do some pretty big and neat lifts but I don't look that graceful. Anyone have any tips?

  • oh my goodness! that was awesome. but i kinda feel bad for the girl cuz his hand is like grasping her butt for like 5 minutes! ouch....

    but this dance is sweet!

  • yeh but speaking from experience, id rather have my partners hand somewhere awkward for five minutes than fall and lose my career! sometimes when im dancing with someone its like, yeh its ok, grab me there and hold on tight, id rather that than crash into the floor!

  • yeah thats true! i have had some bad falls due to the way my lifter wasn't grabbing me properly!!!

  • are you talking about like 1:51? i'm confused... =]

  • Tell me, please, how She can trust him...! How she can know - He will not hurt Her! You need to know one to trust Him like that!!! Dose anybody cares what´s going on in her mind... every time she falls... in his arms...! She just a little women - what if... one stupid mistake...I bet she was hurt before at the rehersals!?

  • yea, as a dancer I know that it doesn't always turn out perfect! but that means I also understand how you can trust your partner. It's kinda like how you would trust your best friend to keep all your secrets, you just know them well enough to know how bad they would feel if they dropped you and they they will try as hard as they can not to.

  • Esto es Arte!

  • All music is from the "V for Vendetta" soundtrack. The middle section - with the rather dramatic lift off the floor and to the chest - is entitled "Evey Reborn." It gives me goose bumps.

  • Can someone tell me from which movie this song is? it sounds so familliar.

bye the way the performance is awesome

  • acrobatic showdance

  • its contempary and its amazing!

  • de puta madre

  • he is strong and she is small rawitsNiarx, but the reason they can he can do that is because of her strength because she is holding her own weight

  • no actually, eric is strong & how the hell would she weigh 2 stone? ;s she probably weighs about 6/7 or something and they're professional you know.

  • wow, the only reason he could lift her like that is because she weights like 2 stone

those are some really cool lifts!!!

  • oh.my.god.

That was so..wow..amazing. I'm impressed that he can hold her with ONE ARM above his head..so cool :)

  • im pretty sure that first song was from V for Vendetta

  • this is insanely gud

  • Is there any video more clear than this one? I've been trying forever to find this clip online and this is the only one I've found so far...

  • There's another one posted. Try searching on the terms below.

Show Dance Eric Luna Georgia Ambarian

  • holy good GOD that was amazing! I'm definitly going to be stealing some of these moves

  • She moves like jello through fingers around his neck. Shit.

  • I love Georgia and Eric. They're really nice people, I actually got to dance with Eric one time. :)

  • I remember seeing this number-- it was in the Cabaret section of the ballroom dance program, I am almost positive. The cabaret style is actually very interesting and the most risky--here this couple takes it to the extremes though. Not as pretty to watch but it is amazing!

  • I think, it would me bore spectacular, if everything would go faster...

  • OH MY GOD! Eric and Georgia!!! I know them from the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Ft. Walton. They are both awesome dancers and very sweet people.

  • yeah this was amazing but it was just lifts. that was one of the best lift routines i have seen but it wasn't a dance like it could have been. still it was pretty awsome

  • Holy hell

    ....awesome...

  • This is cabaret ballroom dance. It resembles very little to the real ballroom dance.

  • its freestyle/show dance ballroom actually.

  • that is sick nasty!!!

  • Thats was soo amazing

  • theyre amazing :)

  • Is she on some kind of harness/rope cos that unbeleivable.. he must be so strong!

  • OMG, this guy is Hercules. And I could only imagine the amount of bruises that girl has, unless she developed thick skin. I'd say that this is a contemporary. Thanks for sharing!

  • Its a subcatagory of contemporary.

  • fraai hoor

  • Impressive but a somewhat 'suggestive' at 1:50 - 1:54...

  • hah funny seeing them on here...georgia also performed this with a broken toe i believe, back in october last year in orlando. was an awesome performance! use to work at same studio as them :P

  • That is freakin unreal

  • This is called Theatre Arts Cabaret

  • I am familiar with this kind of dance, because I take latin and ballroom lessons, and my instructor was a cabaret dancer and he also performed on american ballroom challenge. I believe he know's eric luna as well. I almost want to call it a cabaret but i think Live2Dance is right, it's more of a lyrical, contemporary dance. and yes, that requires a ridiculous amout of STRENGHTH, Coordination, and TRUST between the couple. wow, this is amazing.

  • Does anyone know the music they are using!!

  • They're using 3 different pieces from the score of V for Vendetta.

  • thank you so much

  • I'm in awe... they are both amazing.

  • do you have the footage of the couple after this, it was Felipe Telona and Carolina Orlovsky-Telona. if so can you post it?

    thanks

  • I have the Theatre dance with Felipe and Carolina... the one where they dance to James Blunt. I'll post it later.

  • omgosh...i remember see this

i was like what???? this is awesome

    thx for posting

  • Something many people fail to realize is that the woman also has to be extremely athletic and flexible as well, and the man has to have great coordination and balance, not to metion brute strength ( dance girls aren't twigs! we have a ton of leg and core muscles, and muscle weighs more than fat! )

  • Their preformance is very dramatic, which is to be expected since lyrical involves communication without words, a dancer's moves melding with the song to portray a story or feeling. You should probably google " hall of fame dance challenge " They have a list of videos, many of which are lyrical. Group and duets are always stunning.

  • This style is known by many names, and has lots of different variations. Typicaly it is called lyrical, b ut is also known as lyrical jazz, lyrical ballet, modern, and contemporary. They are each a bit different, but center around the same core moves portrayed in different ways.

  • If you want to see incredible lifts done with an amazing speed and intereption of the music, take a look at Viktor Da Silva and Hanna Karttunen.

  • holy stinkin' crap this is amazing!

  • i have to agree. the neck one about halfway through gets me every time, i don't see how it's physically possible

  • They call this style Cabaret if I am not mistaken, LOVE it.LOVE the couple.
