Logistically, anyone who can overcome addiction is amazing. Sixx's book has actually been seen as an inspirational tool for many addicts to overcome their addiction, and for that, I have the utmost respect for the man.

Does it make him more amazing than other people who overcame addiction? No. But it does help perpetual addicts by bringing the issue to the fore. Like Freddie Mercury's death did with AIDs - Fame helps raise public awareness, which isn't a bad thing.
