They are the only type of birds who can coordinate their way back home, despite its unfamiliar surroundings. Essentially if you let them go in the middle of the ocean they can navigate themselves back to New york or California w/o any hints or aroma trails. This was researched early in 2000 and why they were used for war messengers.

Keep up the good work! As more information goes out on the cruelty and corruption in Pennsylvania, maybe the good citizins (hopefully there are some), will not want to be tarred with the same brush of brutality, incompetence, and flouting of the law as the shooters and the officials.

I'm considering a life of crime to supplement my Social Security. Would you know what other illegal activities aren't prosecuted in Berks County? It might be just the place for struggling retiree's. As long as Adam's cut isn't too high it may be something to consider.

Just made the call. Talked to someone in the office at Berk's County District Attorney and told them that Texas supports "Shark" for bringing awareness concerning animal cruelty, specifically pigeon hunting. I was very nice and their office was professional too. I will follow up with a written letter to their office with my support. I will also spread the word among us service dog trainers here in Texas.

@mrsparex - yeah, good idea. That's what all hunters should be made to do. I've always thought a fenced off forest area of maybe 10 square kilometers would be good. All hunters would go there and go up against other hunters with the same weapons. Then we'd see who the real men are. But few would show up because they are nothing but boys trying to be men and generally cowards.

it's easy for some to overlook this, as they are such small animals. but it's the same pain and trauma which a human or larger animal would deal with if they were shot and left to die.
