Yeahh agreeing with some of the other posts, this was a terrible review. You wasted way too much time. You've said little more than what reading the two sentence Steam description gave me. Next time you make a review, compare it to others like it, what are some of the flaws of it, etc. Don't just name other games in the genre. Only thing I learned was that you can't walk on foot, which I was wondering, so.. Thanks for that I guess.

I played Evochron Legends,after many hours game started to repeat itself after destroying hundreds of enemy ships and having tons of money,it feeled boring(after all ship upgrades and better ships).Mission types were too simple,after guite brief time everything was feeled.

Could anybody tell me what exactly buying a license from the space stations does? Its such a high cost I figure it allows better weapons or something? Debating whether or not to get it and risk all that hard-earned .. credits? from selling ores :D

nice review :) I loved Freelancer and played other games like Dark Star One and Tarr Chronicles. But both of them where not as fun as Freelancer. Nether the gameplay or story was as good. Do you know anyother space game that is very similar to Freelancer? or any other game with awesome story like Mass Effect?

Do a search for "infinity universe 2010 tech demo".

Its a similar game to be released in the near future.

Everything is procedurally generated in that game as well as this one.

Newtonian, but don't run away! Frontier was a headache, but this has flight assistance, which can be turned on and off for cool tricks. I-War1+2 had the same system and they are really underrated. I can't go back to sci-fantasy physicsa now.

Is it kind of like... you have standard sci-fi physics in normal flight (enabled by counter-thrust) which you can disable and spazz around using your inertia to do crazy 180 degree turns and stuff?

Because I like that system. :P

The file size is small because the game was written in DarkBasic, most likely DBpro, and with skilled programmers and compilers who know how to clean up after themselves, most games would be a lot less in size then they actually are.

i like jump gates too... usuley in space games you are in a "room" and the gates are the "doors" into another area... i just think its cool that you dont need to use them in it (even though they are still there for your use)

It has an 80 minute demo, give it a try. It's not at all like Freelance. FL is a combat arcade game, this is a sim.

Checkout Parkan 2. I haven't played it yet, but apparently you can do just that. The graphics look pretty nice from the screens, not sure how it plays out, but it's probably worth a shot.

I love this style of free roaming space sim, but i wish they could all be like elite and frontier.

Why can't somebody make a game like this, but go all out and bring the genre up to date?

Eve online is the only thing that compares, but that's too complex and not much fun.
