  • @Thedeoradude You've made some quite good decision, Sir

  • @GamerGery i've since discovered that adding a bit of chai is a bit like hot chocolate mixed with that feeling you get when you finish a really good book

  • What's the name of the actor from the last scene? I remember him from a sci-fi series years ago, he was riding a bad ass motorcycle...

  • Deleted Scene: Green Tea, Room Temerature

  • Darjeeling is better.

  • Drinking Earl Grey as I type. Truly one of the best teas out there, although I'm not at all averse to a nice green tea or hibiscus tea.

  • Great video.

  • #siri

  • "Alien babe, green, hot!"

  • Favorite clip is at 0:11 I just love young Picard's accent!! I say this all the time when I make myself tea.

  • 0:08 - It's not "Tea, Earl Grey perhaps?" It's "Tea, Earl Grey HOT"!! Dumb Klingon.

  • And thus the sales of Earl Grey went up in the millions and The Picard said Make it so!

  • Would you like some tea?

    No.

  • 0:12 Fake he isn't bald.

  • What is the best place in the US to buy Earl Grey?

  • @nortalus

Heck if I know, I bought some at County Market, though.

  • Made me think of the family guy skit:

Lando- Lando to Enterprise draw their fire away from the cruisers!

    -Enterprise Bridge with crew-

Capt. Picard- we're having tea, thank you VERY much.

    Warf- Yes... Tea

  • "No"

    rofl

  • Thank you for cutting it off when you did. I didn't want to see what happened to the poor soul who denied Earl Grey tea in front of Picard.

  • Who has it not hot?

  • Achievement Hunter?

  • Absurd.

  • and the end he pauses... and then, "Would you like some Tea?" HA HA HA

  • Beautiful ending

  • Earl Grey Hot....

  • Picard's fondness for Earl Grey got me hooked on the stuff too. It's now the only hot tea I drink. A good drink, keeps you going.

  • I'm gonna go to Tim Horton's and deliberately tell the server Tea, Earl Gray, Hot. And see what response I get... I'll let you know what happens.

  • @squeezetoy1984 OMG! It was so hilarious and a have-to-be Classic! I went up to the server and said "Tea, Earl Gray, Hot!" and he responded "Do Iook like a fuckin' replicator?" I couldn't stop laughing!!!!! LMFAO!!!!

  • Tea, Earl Grey, Hot is the best kind of tea.

  • yo this show is what got me into earl grey, no joke lol :)

  • @cynikalX lol same here, I figured if its good enough to still be a popular drink in the 24th century then it must be pretty good and it is to be fair.

  • When I was a little boy, my mother used to give me Earl Grey tea when I'd get sick. To this day, I won't drink another kind of tea.

  • The day that Picard orders a different type of tea is the day that the world ends.

  • I always thought it would be funny for him to order it with a East Midlands or other English/regional accent.

Saying something like "make us a cuppa - milk 'n' two sugars" since I'm from Nottingham in the East Midlands - that's how we ask most of the time. lol

  • great

  • I was at tim hortans and I ordered Tea Earl Grey Hot at the drive through window. She says on the mic my order with Make it so

    SO MUCH WIN

  • @BlueTeamPlayer Fanfastic!!! :)

  • @BlueTeamPlayer epic

  • Rivers Cuomo brought me here too

  • i'm surprised it's not longer!

  • Rivers Cuomo brought me here ^__^

  • Am I the only man who likes earl grey cold?

  • @IvixHira yes, yes you are. Tried it once...yech!

  • I like the bit where he says "Tea, Early Grey, Hot" :-)

  • It always amused me to hear Picard order Earl Gery Tea. It'd long been my favourite. Just a little bit of home.

I'd KILL for a nice hot cup of Earl Grey. Nectar of the Gods.

  • APPLE JUICE! FOR HALF PRICE!!

  • @BleedForTheWorld I'M A RAILROAD WOO WOO.

  • That was fantastic, especially the ending!

    Well done!

  • You would think that he would have eventually told the computer, "Whenever I, J. Picard, ask for tea, it is to be Earl Grey, and hot."

  • @HighPriestofLemuria Apparently Janeway attempted to do this and it never obeyed. She got Coffee, black, tepid.

  • @Odbarc Don't knock Janeway or coffee. Although it is true the replicators never worked for her. She had to get her pet hedgehog (Neelix) to replicate her coffee for her.

  • @randomface54 Did Neelix truly replicate things? As I saw it, he used raw ingredients and cooked things directly. The old fashioned way.

  • @Odbarc Usually, he uses fresh stuff, but one time Janeway went into the messhall asking him for "Coffee, black" and he went and replicated it for her. Partly because it was a running joke that replicators kept breaking on her but mostly because she was a maverick.

  • @randomface54 Maybe it was tampering from Tom Paris.

"Replicator. Always ruin the coffee for Janeway." and she just never thought to ask the computer why.

  • @Odbarc There was the incident in Q2 when Q's son (also called Q) altered the replicator so when Janeway ordered coffee it told her to "make it yourself". Apart from that, Janeway apparently once called her replicator "a glorified toaster-oven" and it never forgave her.

  • @randomface54 I started downloading the Voyager seasons. I started at 4 because I like 7of9.

Q episodes are the best, aren't they? Someone described him once as the perfect example of Lawful chaotic. (D&D).

Was it ever explained his distaste of Guinnan? They did not like each other and he warns Picard about her 'true' self or something.

(I know she's in Earth's history in that one back-in-time episode too (TNG)).

  • @Odbarc 1) Is there a human alive who doesn't like Seven?

    2) Definitly, best one would have to be "the Q and the grey" with the puppy scene, although I would say he was more neutral than lawful.

    3) No idea, I didn't follow TNG as closely as I did the other series.

  • @randomface54 I checked on wiki. Apparently it wasn't. To bad too really. It was pretty interesting tidbit that could easily have been expanded on.

  • @Odbarc Yeah, there's always stuff like that which gets left out of the continued storyline. If they carried on every possible story arc, it would have been around season 50 before they encountered the Borg, they have to get some work done and sometimes that means leaving ideas behind. Makes sense I suppose, how often in real life is every part of an event laid out on the table and explained before moving on to the next thing?

  • @Odbarc I did some checking about Guinnan, there was that thing in Generations (I know it was a crap face-off to stir up hatred between Kirk and Picard fans but it was the only thing I could find)

  • @randomface54 What "thing"? Tell me!

Oh, you mean that pre-classic series? I loved that one!

  • @Odbarc I meant that weird place that Kirk and Picard went to after they got hit by the energy ribbon in the film. Guinnan had some connection to it but I can't remember the details.

  • @randomface54 She was inside the thing and left, as I recall. When people leave the ribbon 'they' still remain. So when Kirk left, anyone else who gets inside would still find Kirk inside.

When you leave, anything you do from then on isn't known to the 'inside the ribbon' version of you.

At least, that's what I recall/vaguely/understood of it all.

  • @Odbarc Like I said, I don't really remember, it has been a while since I saw that film and, lets be honest, it was shit anyway.

  • @randomface54 I completely forgot about it until you mentioned it.

  • @HighPriestofLemuria Sometimes he likes it cold too.

  • @iOnlySignIn Don't we all, sometimes.

  • For me it's, "Tea. Green. Warm."

  • @diablaxcrista same....lol

  • Are you sure this is Earl Grey? I could swear it was Darjeeling...

  • I have a cup of tea. Earl Grey. Hot.

  • Orange Juice. Luke Warm.

  • Listen to me very carefully because I'm only going to say this once: Coffee. Black

  • @mkoo Hot?

  • The ending made me lol =D

  • This is Picard's "Vodka martini, shaken not stirred." ^_^

  • It stopped sounding like English after a while. "Tee Ulhgrai-ot."

  • I would like some tea. :D

  • Real cool clip! I'd love to know the episodes containing these scenes. Would anybody be so nice to tell me?

  • @AdvocatusDiaboli2010 I'm not sure about the rest of them, but the last one is "Bloodlines", season 7 ep 22 :-).

  • the man who made this tea famous in my opinion

  • Earl Grey is awesome, although Lady Grey is my tea of choice.

  • Would it normaly serve Ice Tea?

Or maybe the machine forgets to boil the water from time to time

  • Which episode is :20? The last one?

  • @douro20 i don't know the season/episode #, but that one is where Jean Luc finds out that he has a son. That guy who says "No" to the offer of tea is Picard's son.

  • seen first contact?

    then this will make sense!

Beverly: "Tea? Earl Grey? It's your favorite!"

    Picard: "NO! NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!"

  • @lovethatturtle I have seen it and this makes no sense to me. Could you elaborate?

  • @scythe747 you know, when he brakes his little ships after lily says "jean-luc, BLOW UP THE DAMM SHIP!!!"

then he says "NO! *smash* NOOOOOO!!!!"

  • I don't know what's more disturbing: The fact that this video exists, or that we were all looking for it :)

Screw it, it's not in my Favorites!

  • @JackBootLip

I think that the fact of that this vid has 62k views is most disturbing.

  • Earl grey is gross to me. Orange pekoe, milk n two sugars is heaven

  • Earl Grey is the God of Teas.

  • Tea is the drink of the Gods, this is just more evidence

  • The Klingon didn't say Hot. Not that she wasn't.

  • Just so you know, Picard's tea cup of preference is made by Bodium and is called "Bistro Nouveau"

  • you know your bored on youtube when...

  • @hate420breed

Thinking the same thing...worth it though.

  • Janeway: Coffee. Black.

    Picard: Tea earl gray hot.

    Janeway: Sacrilege.

  • Pefect end *rofl*

    Tea, earl grey hot! now!!

  • Honestly, Tea, Earl Grey, Hot, is the only thing Picard ever orders. it's like everyone's way of knowing that it's really him, or proof that the aliens have done their homework when they offer it to him. But honestly, couldn't he just set the replicater to have Tea, Earl Grey, Hot as its default function? Just materialized a cup every time he walks over to the replicator?

  • What episode was the second to last clip from?

  • @douro20

    "All Good Things..."

The last episode of TNG. He's in the future, about 25 years, and Data's maid asks if they would like some tea. He answers, and she says "Of course it's hot!" The future is a potential timeline, and he shifts between timelines in the episode.

By the end of the episode you find out this timeline wouldn't happen exactly the way it's shown, and the later movies also changed it. In this one, Data is a professor at I think Yale, and they are on Earth.

  • @Draknfyre cambridge, not yale. and way to give spoilers!

  • @gprime85

It's been 16 years since the final episode. If you were interested in Star Trek, you should have seen this episode before now. It isn't that big of a spoiler, either.

I wasn't sure of the university, Yale didn't sound orrect.

  • @Draknfyre i have seen it, but i'm talking for the people who haven't and checked out this video. and the college data is at, i'm talking about "By the end of the episode you find out this timeline wouldn't happen exactly the way it's shown...." if you ever have to type "you find out," don't type it!

  • @gprime85

I knew YOU had seen it. I was using the general "you".

Again, this episode is 16 years old. It's not like it was last Friday's episode no one saw. It was the last episode of the entire series. It's spoiler warnings have been long, long expired. It's famous in it's own right. I wouldn't have blurted out the ending. "This didn't turn out like this", is pretty obvious to anyone who saw ANY of the TNG movies.

  • Le sigh...

There's no good scifi on TV anymore...

  • Awesome video, loved it... however you forgot the Shinzon's request for it in nemesis, being that he IS Picard but yet a clone :)

  • Stuck at work on the Graveyard shift as always.

But I brought a little Tazo "tea, earl grey, hot, with cream, and sugar".

Ok, so it doesn't roll off the tongue quite as well.

  • Awesome punchline!

  • Hot, indeed.

  • When his life isn't working out the way he wants, he pulls a George Costanza and has the exact opposite of what he normally has.

    Coffee, columbian, cold.

  • When I started watching TNG, I always thought he was saying, "Tea, L grey, hot."

  • TEA EARL GREY HAAAWT! Because I said so!

  • First time i tasted Earl Grey, i fell in love. it remains today my favourite drink in the world.

  • Scotch...neat!

  • Captain's choice of teas :). I knew I would never become a Starfleet captain the moment I realized this tea wasn't for me. Love the ending!

  • "Tea?"

    "No."

  • Coffee... black!

  • Damn, now I want some tea.

    Earl Grey, perhaps.

    Probably hot...

  • @OuroborosChoked It's good stuff, I drink it often ;0)

  • niiiice ending.

  • I've seen this video 500 times and the ending still makes me lol.

  • If Picard says: "Tea, Earl Gray, Hot!" you f*cking go make some, ASAP!

  • @Tijnvaassen the computer can produce the tea at required temperature and set a temperature after its preparation is finished via replicator

  • why does he say 'hot' anyway?? you won't exactly have it cold now, would you? lol

    Still, gotta love Picard.

  • @sirpetervii the computer can produce the tea at required temperature and set a temperature after its preparation is finished via replicator

  • tea, earl grey, hot, decaffeinated

  • tea, earl grey, hot, defcafeinnated

  • Comment removed

  • Bleedin' brilliant

  • Teaearlgrayhot.

I swear he says it like one word.

    Coffee. Black.

  • Tea?

    No.

  • 3 people tried to no-scope the "Like" button and missed.

  • tea White Cinnamin Hot

  • The scene in All Good Things where he asks for T.E.G.H and the computer tells him it hasn't been programmed into the replicators yet is the best.

  • Whittard's Earl Grey is my favourite Earl Grey right now. Twinings' isn't bad either.

  • If it were Sean Connery, he'd add, "Shaken, not Shtirred!"

  • how bout some english breakfast for a change?

  • Drug. Cocaine. Rolled-Dollar-bill.

  • I'll bet you never guess what i'm drinking right now :P

  • @tucsondog Orange juice maybe?

  • Tea. Earl Grey. NOT!

  • I'm disappointed that the ending is not complete. Here's the whole thing:

    "Would you like some tea?"

    "No."

Pickard draws a phaser rifle, and vaporize him.

"Yeah, that's what happens! That's what happens, man!"

  • I could have sworn this was Darjeeling

  • "Would you like some tea?"

    "No."

Perfect way to end the video :)

  • @Cyke101 6 people did not want tea

  • I'm having some Tea, Earl Grey, hot right now.

  • @toms1266 me too :)

  • Would you like some tea? No...

  • Would you like some tea? No...

  • as opposed to cold earl grey?

  • The worst tea I've ever tasted. It was like drinking out of an ashtray.

  • @Amar7605 That's why I add like, five spoonfuls of sugar. xD

  • The Antithesis of Kellafail

  • "Would you like some tea?"

    ....."No"

  • 0:13 stay the hell away from my tea boy, or you're going to find yourself in trouble...

0:21 wtf do i look like, a tea dispencer!?.... now, how many sugar?

    0:26 ... ¯\(ºдಠ)/¯ ROAR
