But as far as a CD-ROM drive for a home console, the first was NEC Turbo Grafix 16.

And it's called a VMU, by the way. The "save stick thing". A VMU, which interacts with the game as you play it.
Also, if you are unaware of the Dreamcast's library, it makes you look like a fool if you comment on it. Why comment on something you don't know anything about? Your opinion of the Dreamcast's game library is invalid because you clearly know nothing about it.

Eh.... Um.... Yea.... This has FAKE all over it, sorry. The stick man with its sad animation. You can here that the different sounds have this awful timing , During it i hear NO one cheering(till the end) i heard no whispers and no sneezing of any kind, Why didn't people be amazed by Sonic Adventure 3 and Crazy Taxi 4? Also the music would have been more professional such as Sega would come up with there own music and we would have hear if Sega bought the rights to the song... So its fake.

@ThePowerGamePlayer I have to agree with him. First of all, if a release this big was announced, they wouldnt have allowed video cameras of any kind inside. They would search bags, and have people turn off cell phones. If your celly was on, theyd boot you out. And for a company with as much money to throw around as Sega, a presentation like this would NOT have cut it. Have you seen the Wii U's and PSVita's release vids? For something as big as a Dreamcast 2, this is sad.

@ThePowerGamePlayer The minimum cost to produce animation is $1,500.00 per second, big companies like Industrial Light and Magic charge up to $20,000.00 per second to do animation; do you really think that a company who isn't ready to make an official public annoucement would waste money on something that's only intended to be seen internally?

@ryujqg my jaw almost hit the desk when I saw the controller..I was like: WTH ? It's been ages since I played on a Dreamcast at my friend's house. We beat Sonic and Tails on that thing, and Double Dragon Battle Toads game.

I loved my dreamcast, and the other sega consoles I've had. I was once an avid sega fan. I have been a gamer for over 25 years. I was always under the impression from what I read that the dreamcast eventually failed because of lack of second party games. And let's not forget the fact that on the unit it's self it clearly was using Microsoft operating system. When I was playing it that always seemed strange to me. Then later the first xbox came out. @rza828 The Dreamcast failed and Sega decided to leave the hardware end of the business because the Dreamcast was only successful in the US. In the rest of the world the Dreamcast wasn't selling. SOA (Sega of America) tried to get the parent company to continue supporting the Dreamcast here, but with just the US buying them they were losing money.

@remsensor Phantasy Star, Sword of Vermillion, Zillion, Shinobi, Out Run, Golden Axe, Shining in the Darkness, Shining Force, and that's just the Sega exclusives I liked, the had just as good 3rd party support as Nintendo or PlayStation before they stopped making consoles. But the best thing about Sega is they've never told a developer to alter a game due to excessive blood or violence as Nintendo has done.

Well, I think that a dreamcast 2 would be interesting..Remember the times when there were 1000s of consoles to choose from? And the competiton between sega and nintendo was tight..I just hope if they really think about it(what i think is not true), then they should wait this time for the technology to get more powerful, and they should have an individuel idea..maybee they should throw in some exclusiv titles..and the thing would be working a little better(But would it be enough? =/ )

@aldomalaca Actually not..Because Sega already had the idea back then to have a screen on the controlller, and that you can take the screen with to play outside some minigames..Nintendo only brought it with this project to the next level, but they didn't have the idea.. But I hope that this time the idea with a screen works, even if it is Nintendo..I'm very exited to see it and try it out =)

Theres no room for another console in todays market, gaming has evolved all the old school consoles with true exclusives are gone and i cant see them comig back. I loved the Dreamcast standing as my second favorite gaming peripheral and my favorite console. But the new dreamcast wiill crash and burn. Contrary to my name im not hating im predicting. It failed because of bad marketing and a lack of DVD functionality. Sony had more money, therefore more advertising. The Dreamcast was also released too early, and the world simply wasn't ready for online gaming at the time. In terms of specs, the Dreamcast outperforms the PS2 on many levels.
And it's called a VMU, by the way. The "save stick thing". A VMU, which interacts with the game as you play it.
