  • ians performing this song at the cicada club this sunday, he still does an amazing job!

  • His antics must've been pretty suggestive for the UK back then - hilariously good! Half of the future Led Zeppelin plays on this track/album (John Paul Jones is also here)

  • I love him runnin around, hardly even pretending to play!

  • I read that Ian was rather embarrassed about the song, since the band only knocked it off as session filler. But it's so simple and straightforward that I find it irresistible! <3

  • it's just a simple song with the simple basic rock beat. nothing earth shattering here.

  • I actually read Mr Whitcomb's Biography from the local library and thought it was the literary equivalent of Spinal Tap, totally surreal and he produced an album for Mae West!!!!!!

  • @johnbarry1965 Guess that explains why she covered one of his songs.

  • John Fred (of Judy in Disguise fame) and Donna Summer

in-ha-ha-ha-ha-herited a little bit of this song.

  • i love this song. Is he still living?

  • i love this song. I was only 12. I thought he was so cute.

  • I used to love this song.I thought he is so cute.Is he still living?

  • @josette4231 Ian Whitcomb is still alive. I just met him! :D

  • Nutz then, nutz now.

  • What a character. Saw him sing You Turn Me On at a Dick Clark Caravan of Stars show... then he hosted another one I attended.

  • It sounds just as fresh as it did when we recorded it in Eamon Andrews studios in Dublin over 40 years ago. Ian McGarry drums.

  • he performes with janet klein and the parlor boys

  • It's almost like he's NOT playing!!

  • great performance!!!

  • Oh, to be Ian Whitcomb, just for a song!

  • I never get tired of seeing Ian Whitcomb perform this song ... yet another fun performance of it, wow! Thanks for posting.

  • my friend met her

  • @XjacobhX "him"

  • If anybody wants, i have that single sale, please let me know.

  • Ian is one of the really great overlooked popsters. Quite an author....his "After The Ball" is a must read..........remember this well and it's on the audience's dime always............go Pagey....

  • Great tune, so 60'ish stylish and psychodelic, to the max baby

  • I'm not sure that Ian is taking this mimed performance very seriously.

  • Another one of th countless undocumented performances featuring Jimmy Page playng guitar as a session musician. I saw Ian Whitecomb at a British pop show in L.A. on a bill that also included The Spencer Davis Group and Donavan, among others. I remember him doing a rousing version of this song and "N-N-N-Nervous" to open the show...

  • Many thanks for posting this great classic. Peace!

  • Jerry Lee Lewis reininvented

  • I had lunch with Ian a few weeks ago. The dude's cool!

  • Me think him been watchin' Little Richard and Jerry Lee.

  • Never heard of this guy but saw a billboard on You Tube's " Nuggets from the Liverpool Five ( Part 1)" that had him listed on the show......not exactly my cup of tea.

  • I don't remember the year this came out, but I had the 45 and I played it till it was white!!

Love it then, love it now!!

  • How would you know? If you can't leave a decent comment, then don't leave one at all.

  • This is soooo groovy!! Never got to see him before, when I was 5 years old this was like my first record ever!! You have no idea what this song means to me!! The other side is great too, poor but honest!

  • Ian Whitcomb is the greatest still! I'm a music historian and Ian is the genuine article.

  • two of the band members that sang that song are still alive and i was there when dad was practicing the song because he was playing the piano on it.

  • I loved this song back and the 60s and it's great to see this video. Awesome!

  • WOW REally Heavy Man. In 65 all the chicks Turned me on.

  • You mean lip SYNCHS- (or syncs) short for synchronized. Not SINKS like the Titanic.

  • dr4g0nsfir3 you took the words out of my mouth

  • Great!! One of my most favourite numbers of the sixties indeed! Thanks Ukie!

  • Out of all the 1 hit wonders, he is the best!

  • Crazy fun!
