Islam needs to undergo a serious reformation (just like Christianity) to be more acceptable to the 21st Century. Aisha did have a significant influence on the spread of Islam but she also had some doubts about Muhammad.

It's more appropriate to say that reproductive maturity is reached at puberty but definitely not emotional or psychological adulthood. Those attributes are very different and independent of each other. This is demonstrated by mentally disabled people who can still reproduce naturally regardless of mental age or environmental / cultural factors.

nature does not care if you approve of someones reproduction. nature does not care what you think adulthood is. and nature does not stop species growth at the onset of adulthood. human noses and ears do not ever stop growing. virtually all coldbloods never stop growing.

@TAPriceCTR I can tell you aren't understanding what I'm saying. In scientific terms, it's a fact that reproductive maturity does not equal biological adulthood. I think you are confusing 'nature' with an incorrect muslim belief. If you read my comment properly, you'll see I've acknowledged that growth does not stop at puberty. Btw, humans are a warm blooded mammals b/c they generate their own body heat. Reptiles are cold-blooded and need sun heat to raise their body temperature.

OMG. HUMANS ARE WARM BLOODED? beinging up cold bloods was only to show that termination of growth has nothing to do with adulthood. the human mind is CONSTANTLY developing, even in 30 year olds. I know 40 year olds less mature than 12 year olds. this has nothing to do with muslim anything, it has to do with you judging another culture by your standards rather than anything empirical or of them. by judging others by your standard you show nothing about them, only your own bias

14 year olds not being adults is based on MODERN CULTURE. not all nations have developed into modern culture. your calling a postpubescent a child is as subjective as liberals calling american soldiers children. you are talking about what you think biological science when the reality is that it is social science and as such only applies in the social structure you are accustomed to

As I said, there are different branches of science. Tadpoles don't reproduce b/c their bodies aren't physically formed to do so. Amphibian breeding capacities and cycles differ from that of human mammals.

People, regardless of if it is Islam or not, which i think not, simply an age old cultural thing, it is a sad thing. clearly women need more of a voice and need to be heard and helped before they are forced into marriage... This makes me so sad, and yet for so many, it is simply a way of life... I wish there was a way to reach those girls before they are married to like, 30 year old men... Regardless of all your other religions, we need to stop this injustice towards women.

i am a female muslim. i come from a very wealthy family in the middle-east. it is my choice wether i want to get married, continue studying or get a job. What is going on in the video is clearly a cultural matter.. Its nothing like that where i come from!
