Using MPG comparisons as leverage is total bullshit. When you compare 13/18 mpg (typical muscle car running on 91 octane) and 22/27 (87 octane in an import) its a couple hundred bucks difference a year BUT what gives?
I own an 02 si hatch and that clips makes me proud . . . but I LOVE all cars, domestic muscle, import, german, whatever.
Besides, reliability my ass, my vtec controller has been fucking up throwing that stupid p1259 code, my heater shroud went bad, and a myriad of other shit has been breaking too . . . but I still love Honda, and they make great cars. But my next car will be something to change up the flavor!
Honda B16 engines last forever if you don't beat on them .. they make great daily drivers and rarely ever go in for repairs. Last time my Integra needed to see the inside of a mechanics garage was for the recommended 100,000 mile timing belt replacement. I own an 86 Ford Mustang 5.0 as well.. but for reliability the Honda is my baby. It takes care of me and never breaks down. :-D

civic relies on its power to weight ratio big time, i've owned a 99 honda civic DX (obviously not an si or anything) but as soon as i had a passenger or 2, or went up a big hill it sucked. My G8 GT might be slower than most turbo 4's but 385 ft/lbs of torque at 2500 RPM is pretty nice. Plus it is a million times more comfortable than any Honda civic out there.
What mods did the Civic have? It's obviously not stock. There's just no way that's possible otherwise. I think I hear a Nitro shot in the last run. An SRT8 would smoke the current Civic Si, let alone the 02-05. I mean 425hp vs. 160 hp, hello?

Im also not a taxi driver but like most people i have friends, and when we go somewhere its a little be nicer for them to actually have room in the car, i dont get why civics have spoilers or stupid shit like that, i dont think your going fast enough to need downforce, the 300 in this vid is even lame

I'd take either car, and I already have a 440 cuda 550hp all motor and 375hp 455 firebird. it's obvious that if you put the 4 banger in the chrysler sherman tank it wouldn't pull it nearly as quick as the v8....doubt me, then cram three of your heaviest friends and some tractor weights in the honda. I imagine some faster bikes would take either one or rick reads 2300hp 6.98 202mph turbonetics camaro might make them look almost as slow as my honda 110 three wheeler

civic relies on its power to weight ratio big time, i've owned a 99 honda civic DX (obviously not an si or anything) but as soon as i had a passenger or 2, or went up a big hill it sucked. My G8 GT might be slower than most turbo 4's but 385 ft/lbs of torque at 2500 RPM is pretty nice. Plus it is a million times more comfortable than any Honda civic out there.
