The problem with Sharpies is that I enjoy using them so much when I am done using them for work I continue to use them by doodling on pages that have nothing to do with work.
No, I totally agree with you. I was doing some preliminary drawings in Sharpie and the fumes were overwhelming. o.O I have a feeling that inhaling them is not good for you at all..like petrol.
You stay away from black Sharpie. Black sharpie is MINE!! ... Sorry about that. Do Sharpies cause irrational jealousy too? I feel like they might. (Seriously, back away from the black Sharpie.)
I think the same exact thing about those bath product perfume stores. and smelly lotions. Not only do they give me headaches.. but I know these are the underlying causes to "blondeness"
I remember my chem teacher getting high on dry eraze markers by the end of the school day... she was crazy as it was and after snifing markers all day... well... she ended up switching to a diferent type after a while and stoped getting so high.
Its a big conspiracy! no warning labels because they want you to get high and buy more sharpies!!! soon the sharpie king will rule the world because we have turned into mindless drones.
You must get a job as a narrator. Your voice is so informative, intellegent, calming, I compare you to Sigourney Weaver from her series Planet Earth. You're really that good. Think about it.
Gretchen. Let me explain something to you. I'm an Electrician. Sharpies are crucial in our labeling of conduit, wiring, etc. etc. If you show up on an Electrical job with all your tools but lacking a Sharpie, you're pretty-much Useless. What good is a wire if you don't now where it came from or where it's going? Huh? HUH? Sharpies are serious buisiness. Without them, the whole power-grid could go down.
Anyway, I still love you Gretchen. Just had to stand up for the power-grid.
Well John Green used thousands of Sharpies to sign all those pages and he apparently still has all his faculties so I think you are probably safe. They are also cheaper than booze.
You should be careful about sniffing Sharpies or any other permanent marker. They can do negative things to your nervous system. But anyways, great video. :)

Sharpie fumes are perfectly safe. I sniff them all the time, and I . . . um . . . what was I saying? What am I doing at this compuaibeuqvdqb...

what does toxic or none toxic mean -> it means nothing.
-> everything, i mean really everything is toxic if you consume enough of it
-> if you can get a buzz from it, it's killing brain cells (that's how a buzz works)
-
i would recommend ventilation, because Sharpies smell a bit like paint-thinner

No warning label, but they still ask for your ID when you buy them.

Sounds like you've got a case of the sharpie buzz. It might be time to invest in an alternative marking-out-of-words utensil.

A very valid point you have there o:
Maybe try an alternative maker with a more pleasant aroma. Perhaps the black, vanilla scented Crayola marker (/best.ever.)
amiieru 3 weeks ago
@amiieru Whaaaaaaat? There's a vanilla scented marker? I am INTRIGUED.
gemllama 3 weeks ago
@gemllama: Oh, yes. Yes there is. It is possibly the greatest marker every invented (and the most delectable smelling)
In all honesty, I can say that I ADORE that marker.

@skidwilldanceforyou Eesh, nail polish. Never touch the stuff! Even if it's not toxic, it's way too much trouble for what it's worth.
