@ytfjordan You need to listen more carefully. I was referring to the stance that people take when they say all life is sacred. THEIR actions say that they dont actually believe that. But how would you solve the problem people that aren't responsible having children is the source of almost EVERY social problem failing public education, to an excess number of unskilled workers, to poverty and murder. All of these would be reduce sharply if only the people who could afford to had children.

Also there are plenty of people who have children right now who are irresponsible. We do not kill that kid.

On the point of rape. This act is horrible to be sure and while i cant claim to understand the horrors of such a act. I still stand behind the my belife that once a child is concived that child has rights that cant be taken away by anyone including its mother. i understand that the mother is the legal decision maker for the baby but the right to life no one can take from a human being. So with that regard if you are raped give the baby up for adoption.

The only thing that is lunacy is allowing uborn human beings to be killed because they were born out of less then optimal circumstances. rape and adoption is crushing no doubt about it, However it does not justify murder. Just because these kids are more apt to grow up with issues does not mean we should not give them a chance at a life for themselves. Gsus, ask one thing in your rebuttal: how does he know that it wasn't god's plan to have that abortion? God may want to teach the person a lesson or test them. Over 18,000 already born babies die every year in this country alone. God decided that they should be taken. Why not god taking a baby while still in the womb at the hands of doctors? He assumes that the woman has made this decision without praying for guidance.

If you need to, also ask what happened to the rest of the embryos from their IVF? They usually take about 15-25 eggs and fertilize ALL of them and DISCARD the ones that the lab determines are "not viable". this means they ABORT THEM. Well if you want a practical answer, abortion should be allowed. If a woman really wants an abortion, she will make it happen. So do we want her to do it with a knitting needle, or have a safe environment with trained doctors with support? I don't understand why people want to make abortions illegal and make life even worse for these woman that are already have a lot deal with.
