As a kid in Buffalo I was a member of the Jazz Club where Red played many weekends with Larry Cavelli, Tom Izarella(may have the names wrong, been a while). Saw him at the Riviera in Vegas with a school band, excellent. Mid 90's in Buffalo at a bar on Main st. with Sammy Noto. Great as ever. Most know him for arranging, check out the cut "Tonawanda Fats". Smokin'. He is a great influence on our music.
Thanks for posting this!I've loved both of these guys ever since I heard them going head to head on the "Louis Bellson Explosion" album in 1976. Clash of the Titans!
I wish Menza's solo wasn't cut off!!

Beautiful! That's one awesome display of tenor playing. I wish someone had footage of Pete Christlieb playing with Warne Marsh.
