This is how i remember him, old beater car and everything. Happy birthday, 6/7. He will be forever missed, forever remembered. There's no describing what a gem to this world, and all of us, he was. Hope to hear him play again in heaven. I know he's there.
He is still missed in our household. We saw him on Jools Holland in the mid 90's and we were hooked. Great that there is a community on youtube keeping the memory alive xxx
this is a great video-thanks so much for uploading it litterboxmusic -i love his humility and honesty -no rockstar attitude here -but plenty of talent
My name is Joe.I knew Rainer when he worked at Galgano record dist. in Chicago. I convinced him(not much convincing needed) to leave. We spent a few weeks in a little town outside NYC. Didn't like it. Came back to Chicago and I decided to go to Tucson. He decided to come along. We were then roommates in our 1st 2 places there.
Missed by all true lovers of the blues !
Thanks

Thank you all for your kind comments! Rainer was my brother-in-law. It's wonderful to know we can still "visit" him whenever we want/need to.
Thanks again!

Joe, thanks for letting us know. It's nice to know he had a friend with him when he went to Tucson.
