Udit Narayan Jha has stated that he was born in 1955 in a village called Bhardaha in the Saptari district , Nepal.[1] His father was Hare Krishna Jha and his mother was Bhuwaneshwari Devi. Udit Narayan began his career in Nepal singing for Radio Nepal as a staff artiste for Maithili and Nepali folk songs. He sang many popular nepali folk, modern songs in Radio Nepal. ok guys Aditya Narayan is Indian not nepali! Uditji is from bihar and deepaji is from darjeling and uditji went to nepal to start his career and then they came back to india and aditya was born...uditji's career started in nepal with a nepali song but he is indian so aditya is also indian thats why he doesnt say he's nepali. if he's not nepali he cant say he is just to make people happy, and he told me all this btw so if i were u i wudnt doubt this info cuz its all true guys!

it's not uditji went to nepal to start his career..it's udit ji went to india to start his career and learn more abt music..that's wht i hav been hearing form long tym ..it's tru that he started singing in nepal but then he left nepal for several reason..people frm nepal hav to go to bobey to record the song for their films if they want their songs to be sang in udit n dipa's voice..i think aditya also started singing in nepal .

I know the thread has died but i just had to comment! This is what i read somewhere: His parents lived in nep-ind border. His mom's house was on the other side of the river which was india where he was born. But he grew up in Nepal where everyone speaks hindi/bhojpuri/maithili(Terai)­. he went to ktm to sing but at that time, nepal wasn't as advanced as it is now. so he went to india and he just stuck there i guess.

HE is Indian! i did some research on his background. His dad, Udit Narayan is from a village that is on India-Nepal border and his mom, Deepa is from Darjeeling,India. & since Adi was born and raised in India, He is definately Indian. He sang the song,"Hindustani" on Lil Champs with so much Indian pride in him. But one thing is for sure: Adi=Extremely CUTE & Talented!
