@bronco3250 - "This movie" is the film adaptation of a novel, written by Stephen King, that was also entitled The Shining. It would have been a little peculiar to rename it.
An actual STARGATE/PORTAL-THING was caught on film in New Mexico. The footage can be found within the short-film entitled "SUDDEN PORTHOLE", which is parked at the PROJECT CAMELOT YouTube page (it's under the George Noory video).
I'm not selling anything…I'm just trying to spread the word about the unseen-dimensions we find ourselves embedded in.
My BLOG contains peripheral data regarding the movie and is where I reply to the "debunkers" (use search words "SAM ZURICK" & "BLOG"). THANKS!!
Because Danny Lloyd was so young and since it was his first acting job, Stanley Kubrick was highly protective of the child. During the shooting of the movie, Lloyd was under the impression that the film he was making was a drama, not a horror movie. He only realized the truth seven years later, when, aged 13, he was shown a heavily edited version of the film. He didn't see the uncut version of the film until he was 17 - eleven years after he'd made it.
Listen all, this man directed a movie that slowly invites the viewer in to a hellish environment (the hotel) with a peaceful 'hey, isn't this a nice peaceful hotel?', not revealing that this hotel will become hell itself. The family HAS to deal with the hell that is reveling itself. IT IS A PSYCHOLOGICAL movie (not like the movie HOSTEL), he didn't need to show excessive gore to make his point. The father is the weak one who will do the evil bidding for the hotel because he is hell's bitch.
Well, thanks for the complement Old Bean, as dubious as it is. Very British of you for certain. It's very unusual to receive a reply to one of my brilliant and unique comments concerning the true nature of the departed part time film maker and full time ass dart. Most of the film freak individuals who frequent this sort of let's put the dead cockroach up on a pedestal posting throw a bugger boy hissy fit at the sight of any real truth being told about the fraudulent film genius from homo land.
@Therealtaxidriver Even with all the reams of crazy stuff that gets posted on Youtube, this has got to go down as the strangest comment I've ever seen. Good work, sir.
Kubrick is really overrated, he has no sense of pacing. Lucky Jack Nicholson was in this movie.

This movie could have been called Cabin fever.

Add adults only to the title.

@027220 The Shining has been rated R by the MPAA. That implies "adults only".

"The Shinning" is one of my all time favorite movies. I wish I could erase it from my memory just to watch it again, for the first time.

Prohibit this for Stanley:

Como puede ser que a una persona no le gusta este video, sin duda alguna un ignorante del más bello arte, el cine.

I'm greatly relieved the filthy old piece of shit is gone forever. Kubrick is now Satan's personal bitch once again.
