Kirk keeps talking about Darwin, its clear he isn't very familiar with evolution. a lot of atheists are very scared of the word faith. there is nothing wrong with having faith in science. no one person can be expertly versed in all fields, so at some level scientists must have faith if they want to be knowledgeable of fields of interest outside their own. the great thing about science is that we have proof and data and facts that back up our faith instead of relying on a 2000 year old irrelevant book written by MAN.

@T211274 They don't study science and don't understand anything that they are arguing against. Notice that their debates are always asking questions. Their logical fallacy always goes to "They don't know how life started." Creationists claim they know how life started but they don't put forth any evidence outside saying "God did it." I can explain evolution and abiogenesis better than these two people. Religious people lack logical fallacy and have no concept of rational thought.

The Bible says God predestined people for Hell and Heaven and that no one can be saved. The Bible says most people will be damned and that's just the way it is. Just because something is difficult to understand doesn't mean that it is impossible. The Kirk guy uses so much subjective arguments that aren't even remotely valid. Just because you don't understand something doesn't mean that there is evidence of God. If you want to use the whole a painting has a painter approach and therefore a human has a creator, then explain who created God.

If there's an absence of good which subsequently produces evil, the very concept of absence and the logic to interpret it would have to be created, which is a root of evil, thus meaning God created evil anyway.

As an atheist, there is no supernatural power that made the earth, people, etc. I don't have to prove Santa, or a negative with a positive, but the burden of proof is on the person who believes in Santa. A positive is what you can see, Bigfoot is a negative that cannot be proved with a positive. Faith is a negative that can't be proved with a positive, but fear of torment will persuade someone to believe in the negative. Fear is the key that can make someone believe in God. God is a crazy idea.
