  • Electo-magnetic satellite should be able to do the trick. Create a magnetic field through high pover magnets when the debris come floating by turn the juice on and deflect that crap out of here please. Personaly I think its not to safe when that junk burns up re-entering because it melts of the metalic particles and then they just become molecular size and keep falling. I think it probably takes a year or two to fall all the way to the ground and polutes the water and soil.

  • all space faring nations should be made to dee with space junk

  • Smashing satelittes: make people go invisible (2:35) and affect your availabilty to go to the beach (2:50)

WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO!

  • amazing look well

  • waou i like this

  • i heard when the earth has no room to put garbage there gonna send it out to space :( stupid humans

  • what about american accent or subtitle so I can mute it?

  • @GloriousOtaku <cockhead

  • This film looks like a poor cheapo rip of the Channel 4 documentary "Space the final junkyard".

  • britain got any spy sats ?

  • This is not a new subject. I just been watching a 40 year old episode of UFO, and the main subject was space junk in Earth orbit.

  • They must clean that unnesseseriy Satelites....!!!

  • hey here in Arabic as Allah whrite 17 seconds 30 saniyeya image

  • ALWAYS BLAME THE FRENCH LOL!!

  • This is just another topic being politicied by the West to bring their agenda to date. First they gonna hype up the danger of space debris. Then they mention China more often about their satellite shootdown in order to undermine them. Then they gonna start making treaties to limit foreign space lunches. Then they gonna start mounting military weapons like laser in satellites as an excuse to shoot down debris. In the end, its about the west's excuse to militarized space and prevent others

  • where is the RAF surveillance centre? its a project

  • It is RAF Fylingdales on the North York Moors (North East of England) and part of the US BMEWS so yes you are not far wrong when you say it's a project! The cold war version was better... 3 large radomes.

  • Someone should just go up there and clean that mess up lol

  • how do we avoid space junk when we put anything into space? there is so much crap up their.

  • A collision between an Iridium satellite and a dead Russian military satellite occurred 480 miles above Siberia on February 10, 2009 . Both satellites were destroyed. It created a larger debris field than the Cerise collission.

Hopefully the spreading debris field and a chain reaction of debris collisions will put an end to this colossal waste of resources called space exploration. Humans are too stupid to manage earth, but they want to go to other planets so that they can ruin them too.

  • Completely Agree DRAV1DAN. Is it possible we are exploring in order to obtain interesting information about life beyond us OR are we just looking for a way to search for life besides us in order prepare for space wars to take resources (just as we do to various countries) in order to keep the human race going. We've exhausted and abused Earth's resources....the answer is obvious. . .

  • what do you suggest ? that we stop every science project and we stop caring about whats in the universe? by understanding the universe we can achieve many things. its the source of it all. Yes we abused Earths resources, but did it without understanding anything, now that we know better, we recycle, we try to polute less, were getting smarter, and if we dont explore the universe, we will not evolve. and if sometime in the future, we need to explore for another habitable planet, well we should!!

  • I never said we need to stop exploring what we don't know. If anything, apathy is the problem these days, very few people care. The abuse over the planet's resources might have initially been with out knowing, BUT that period was a very short one. We have known for a long enough time now what affects certain things have on Earth, but it still continued.... WHY?

  • Because money is what keeps the world alive and spinning in some people's eyes. Most corporations do not care about where this planet is going and what the effects their product would have on it. Their concern was on the company's profit. They go where the money is and if the money is in being "green" that's where they'll be. I'm extremely happy we are becoming more conscience globally, but to be quite honest it seems like a very weak effort.

  • Some of us care and try out best to maintain a sustainable lifestyle, others don't really care as long as the planet is still functioning throughout their life-span and others are oblivious to what has been going on. My problem is the hidden agenda behind some research being done. Is it for the good of the universe and planets or is it all $ related once again. That is what I meant.

  • That is why we should invest in eloran, a ground based timing and navigation system, which could be a backup to GPS.

  • well..; we just need to clean our mess u

humans are like a small child who doesnt want to clean his room after playing with his toys..

ever seen wall-e? now theres a space debree field thats frightening =/

  • The Kessler Effect you say? I going to have to look that up, sounds interesting.

  • its just wikipedia you can start there, but its listed as Kessler Syndrome. I dont read manga, but there was one i did read called Planetes, which is about astronauts who specialize in cleaning up the orbital field, so they are essentially space garbage men. it becomes necessary when the year that commercial space flight begins, a small piece of debris hits the vehicle and kills all on board. its VERY scientifically accurate and realistically drawn. i really enjoyed it. they talk about...

  • all this stuff in great detail, and it has footnotes that sites the sources, so you can validate the scientific claims. it was a cool manga but a stupid anime adaptation.

  • yeah its a real problem...called the Kessler Effect.

  • awh you seem like such a lonely comment.

  • Don't worry. We'll keep you company
