Paul should have done something else, rather than making a fool of himself. What does the controversy he caused in 1956 have to do with his wanting a badge 14 years later? And how about the postage stamp? All the resuklts were in, Paul, and it happened to be the most succesful postage stam in US histroy selling over 500 million, 124 million of which not being used, but kept by collectors, another record. And that was what made the stamp earn the Postal Service a $33 million profit.
Right on .. Krazzzzzzz... Well, Elvis died....... mothers against drunk drivin took over, and the good part: .... every one still hates tricky dick NIXON!!!!!!!!.....YIPPIES : 1 .......... Glenn Beckk..:0: .... zero!!!!
Love this. That issue of Paul Krassner's The Realist was a classic. I do agree that Elvis looked very stoned when Nixon gave him his Junior Narcotics Officer badge. Rev. Bookburn - Radio Volta
@revbookburn He might have looked stoned, but he wasn´t. Sonny West, and jerry Schilling both said it, in 5 different books. He was armed when he entered the White House, though (LOL). As he walked towards the Oval office, he told the Secret Service the gun was a present to Nixon, so they did not allow him to enter the Oval Office with it. The gun is now at the Yorba Linda Presidential Library.
