  • now thats what i call Luxury!

  • Funny how they say First class suites are offered on all their new planes when the 777-300er doesnt have any....

  • yeah, it does. The one you flew on, was probably one they got in 2005. All Boeing 777-200LR's have it, all A380's, all Airbus A340-500's, 70% of the Boeing 777-300ER'S, and some Boeing 777-300's.

They currently changing all their older Boeing 777-300's and 300ER's with the new suites.

  • O i c. Thanks for clarifying it up MoHasnie.

  • Negative, the 777-300's (A-market) have been retrofitted with the new Business class (which is on the 777-200LR's and newer -300ER's) and First class beds found in the early 777-300ER's (not suites, but a 2x2x2 configuration) and the ICE system (older version found on A340-500's, 777-200/ER's and older -300ER's). -

  • The ICE is such a good system!

  • A380, 777-200LR and 777-300ER (ULR configuration) feature the suites and ICE digital widescreen.

  • +A340-500

  • I sent you an inbox message replying to this comment.

  • "This commercial shows how Emirates has taken luxury travel to new heights with First Class private suites". Your not serious right? Singapore Airlines Suites tops Emirates in so, so many ways.

  • You did forget that Emirates came up with the suites in the first place. So yeah, they did bring luxury travel to new heights.

  • True i guess SIA just took it to another level

  • yeah, I guess they did

  • i don't agree twith that. Emirates came up with the idea, and now had made the first class experience even more luxurious with the introduction of the showers, and lounge in the plane.

  • I respect your opinion but i dont think Emirates is that luxurious. Their showers and lounge is a nice touch but its not practical. EK should have devoted all that extra space to their passengers. You are not obviously going to spend 14 hours in the shower or at the lounge. 1 of SIA suites can easily fit 2 EK's Suites and not to mention SIA has a real bed. SIA knows how to balance, elegance, luxury and opulence thats why IMO they have the best Suite.

  • yeah, i do agree with you. Singapore does have much better suites. In terms of comfort, Singapore Airlines is better and more practical hands down.

In terms of facilities, Emirates is better.

My opinion is supported by Skytrax awards 2009, which ranked Singapore Airlines first class 1st, and Emirates 2nd.

They said the Emirates rating was greatly helped by its a380 product.

  • Which is also on around 40% of their 777's while there are only six A380's.

  • Yes, but the entertainment system on Emirates is the best in the entire industry + emirates have the most A380'S in the world... 57 of them..

  • well on order..

  • Comment removed

  • I definitely think that SIA definitely has a superior product and cabin crew, but EK was quite lucky that they released their suites first. SIA and EK started developing their products around the same time and SQ would have come out with theirs just about a year after EK if it wasn't for the A380 delay.

  • Yea, I have to say, it was smart of EK to introduce them on the A345 instead of the A380. Less chance of a delay.

One thing about SIA these days though, I feel they're gonna have to be more generous with Krisflyer miles.

  • i have to agree, but Emirates offers suites on 30% of its fleet, but Singapore airlines only has it special suites on the A380's.

The Boeing 747 first class isn't that good.

Only the, a380 and Boeing 777-300er suites are as better than emirates.

  • The old skysuites are outdated but still comfortable. But soon SIA will phase out all their 747's and the skysuites will only be a thing of the past.

  • some of emirates comercial was sshoot in malaysia or can be they have used malaysian comercial ads consultant ...i can prove it throught siries of their ads ...where they present many malaysian models one of them is male steward in train as shown above thanks

  • I love Emirates
