Oh Dotsy007, have you ever heard of a little band from Cambridge called Pink Floyd? they were students who probably read Steven Hawkins and they stand at 200 million + sold. But you make it sound cool when you describe the down-to-earth way of rockin it. The Floyd didnt shag a lot of women but they were as nice and down to earth as rock and rollers come. Research before you make a statement!
Throughout music history it has been proven time and time again that those that grow up from shitty working class towns are blessed with some gift that only those that have lived it can really understand.
yeah great doc, be here now is a classic I think, I absolutely love fade in/out play it loud on ur stereo yal love it, and its gettin beeter man played live on this is so class
@Elanchana In the Def Maybe documentary, the story goes acc. to Noel, they needed to finish the tune and on the way to recording it, they drove past it and Noel just wrote it in the car.
It's the song from the 5 4 3 2 1 biscuits surprisingly enough actually mate, Liam just mentions penguins before he says "and loadsa 5 4 3 2 1 do dodo"
Be Here Now is Oasis' most interesting era. i fucking like the album, it annoys me when the critics and Noel put it down. the songs are fucking great!
hah. good liam argument. it's not that i don't have the time, i just don't care to hear the same line repeated over and over again at the end of the song for 4 minutes.
to be honest though, i only ever listen to the song when i know i'm gonna be doing something for a long time like working out or when i'm on the internet or something.
hahaha. "he just walks around the house goin YA WHAT" haha. if noel wasnt such a great musician, he could well have been a great comedian! oasis 4EVER
Yeah, some of Be Here Now could've been cut off, but it isn't. It's a great album. I think songs like I Hope I Think I Know, It's Gettin Better Man, all that doesnt get near enough recognition. I've been an Oasis fan for around a year now, but i think they're really going to define my youth. I love to watch their concerts, listen to their b-sides, all that. Plus the Gallagher Bros. are awesome. Not to mention I'll be watching this doc. alot now.
I have been an Oasis fan since i was 10 im 24 now they have been a major part of my life, i grew up the exact same way as them in Dublin they are totally unique to music because tere so down to earth tere bunch of lads in a band who fuck women take drugs watch footy what rock n roll is and should be about not some poncey thing were a student group are getting influences from reading fucking steven hawnkins books in librabrys this is rock n roll oasis are the greatest
Be here now isnt a good album, not because the extense of the songs.
I think its because Noel lack ideas in that time, and thats why is overproduced.
It have good songs (Be here now and five of the 9 minutes of All around the world). But why Noel put a f****n' guitar in every second of the whole album?... thats a lack of creativity compared to Def Maybe
i think your right their lad they was pushed into it m8 n their was alot a drugs about i think they started gaining momentum again on standing on shoulders of giants come on
I really love that album, its rockin'. Except "Put yer money where yer muth is", SOTSOG its better in any sense. I think Full on, Let's all make believe and One way road could been on the album. Roll it over its just a perfect song.
you seem to no wat your on wiv m8 theres so many people that think they no n realy they no fuck all some people dont even no all the albums fair play m8 my fav ososg is either gas panic roll it over i like quite alot of the heathen chemistry album too i love all the albums my all time fav is slide away angel child b side to d yer no wat i mean love it
everything tht the band have done has been amazing. SOTSOG has some class songs, the best being sunday morning call. i dont think tht song gets mentioned enough and is too underated
true m8 it is the most underated song noels done but to be honest where did it all go wrong does it 4 me rather than sunday m c love em both but w d i a g w thanks 4 the disput m8 how abart hooking up on msn sound good if so send me your addy privatly n well have a better chat respect look 4 ward to hearin 4rum u as it s all good talking noel but wat abart liams contributhon like littil james /heathen chemistry song bird n born on a diffrent cloud he realy does shine as a song writer respect m8

it's not bad, there's definitely a lot of good songs on it.
it's just not got the same impact as the two albums before that, and it's way overblown.
All around the World is a fun song, but not for 9 minutes.
joshx120 3 years ago 4
here's the thing, if you don't have the time to listen to long songs then don't listen to them!
i fucking love All Around The World, it's one of my favourite Oasis songs.
