Well, it's basically the bevel effect in PhotoShop (any version). Right click your layer and push "Blending Options"

now... honestly..why in hell would anyone would like to replicate or make the google logo???? even if you use it in a parody a screen shot or using one of the million pictures of it available would do i thought? just bored? .....

@MrPacMan36 No offence ment dood! but just for a video where i presume you didnt need to turn the font into vectors etc why didnt you simply use one of the many existing pictures of the logo which are available via its picture search itself? i am a typesetter and am always interested in fonts and just finding out the name was worth it though! but with that title it pulled my attention, why oh why, just the same as for many others i take it ;) keep it up but watch out 4 copyrights if u use it !

It is photoshop, but a different version of photoshop, not CS3, CS4, CS5 or what have you, but Elements 7, they have Elements 8 out now, but I got mine back in Nov. of 2009, its a much less costly version, but very little removed from the full version (to me at least). You can see the PSE logo at the top right in the video. Look it up. ;)

Nah, it's like the starter edition of Photoshop, everythings a million times easier, but about 60% of the features CS has. But it's still loaded and able to do many things CS can do. I also have CS5, but I use E7 more often... I only use CS when doing a project that E7 doesn't have the ability to do.
