This was ahead of it's time. So much so I was 10 when it was out and my brother had the record but never played it and he was 17 @ the time. neither was ready and the hip hop game wasn't either. Now half of the thugs make songs like this and pass it of as hood slow jams or r&b.

R.I.P Heavy D, a great talent lost. I remember listening to this album when I was a kid. My cousin use to drive a van and she would play this album. I remember hearing about one of his back-up was killed in a stage accident. It was in my hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana. I remember one of my classmates in summer school told me about it.
