I don't think ANY game has ever had such WONDERFUL treasure picking sounds. For me, it is the icing on the cake of W3D. Also the wall moving sound is just brilliant. BTW: What difficulty level do you use in your recordings? It is too long since I last played Wolf3D so I don't remember what this could be.

What computer configuration did you use to play Wolfenstein 3D in this instance? I rarely see the gameplay that smooth.

I always liked that level for its treasure troves. Once I got to the room full of chalices, that's when the penny dropped that there would be more secrets!

Try DOSBox it emulates dos pretty well =D

Great video! Wolf3D had such nasty secret passages, i remember getting stuck into a sequence of secret passages due to pushing the walls in the wrong order. :-(

Nice job, I enjoyed watching. you should check one of my movies. One is about Wolf3d. It was on Dutch National Television (a IQ Quiz) they used Wolf3d in the quiz as a maze and you had to tell where the flagpole was on a map from above. They edited the levels real cheap. Cool to see Wolf3d on television 16 years after it's released :P

I'm wondering too. How I could got 1 star rating when this video doesn't deserves it ? OK, maybe it isn't perfect, but I was trying to remember position of all guards in each level. And quickly understand my position on map. Of course I was using map, it can't be done to 100% without it.

Frigen New Generation gamers. They have no appreciation for a past game that carries past memories. If you actually have a game you know of that brought back childhood memories, than MAYBE, you deserve an opinion on the situation. I am willing to bet you haven't played any game before the year 2000 and if you did, it was past the year 2000.

your post really deserves honorable rank - it's T.R.U.T.H. I do like some new games too, but I hate these bitc*es who don't know old good games but even are blaming them ! It's childish. I started watching my father playing in 1992 (when I was 3) and later I started to play myself good DOS games like this one. This was one of first games I've ever played (with UFO, Gods, Dune 2 and Transport Tycoon)
