  • And then it became a big part of Youtube Poop...

  • @Dimitri0809 Yeah but they just got started

  • i want 2 do something like this so bad

  • Awesome!

  • Holy crap.

  • Holy Jesus this is so cool. A live Mario head would be amazing to interact with. Everything now sucks. 90s were great.

  • I guess work on Mario Teaches Typing 2 began in 1992. XD

  • this is epic

  • So 3D graphics did exist back in 1992.

  • @Dimitri0809

yes and they have even as far back as the 70s

  • @Dimitri0809 Try watching this 1982 movie called Tron... or checking out some of the early Pixar shorts...

  • MIRT is it's real name (Mario In Real Time), similar to Kirby right back at ya is KRBAY.

  • Loving This Video Too Much!!!!

  • that looks like a trap from saw

  • @MustangSally72 I AM NOT A F---ING TROLL!!!

  • Did the first few comments blow anyone elses mind?

  • holy shit, dit they had allready such realistic 3d in 1992,whooaah that,s fucking awesome!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I just asked Charles Martinet Via Facebook to shed some light on this :)

  • At 0:16, the background music sounds similar to the music heard in the Satellaview commercial.

  • that's probably the reason nintendo went with sgi tech for their "project reality" aka "ultra 64".

  • 1:24 IMMA GO TO FLY FOR YOU! LOLOLOLOLLLL!!!!

  • Man it is such a waste to see that technology debut at the 1992 SCES only for it to be wasted on Mario Teaches Typing several years later.

  • HOLY SHIT IT'S MARIO HEAD!!!

  • I'm assuming that this was BEFORE charles martinet became mario's official voice? Or am I wrong......?

  • @baahhhFATALITY11 You're Correct. Charles Became Mario's Official Vocie as for 1995

  • Man, he makes me SMILE!!! :D

  • When i was a child at 1992 ces i believe that mario's face was ALIVE!!!!

  • @LucoLuchi This same exact version of Mario and even the Wario one also appeared in some game preview booths at retail stores. I remember when Wario appeared in it talking grumpy before Mario moved in and made viewers smile to recover from watching Wario, while Mario moved away toward the right with a "WEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!" cry.

  • WOW Charles Martinet is sooooo young right here and he's alot thinner.

    WHAT A GUY!!!!!!!

    long live mario

  • Mario's Teaching Typing, lol!

    WITH CAMEOS!!!!!!!!111!!!ONEEEE!!111!

  • It's the N64 Mario Head in 1992!!!

  • I love his mario voice :)

  • Is that voice Charles Martinet?

  • @8688251547 No, that is not his voice. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the actor who was doing the voice and being interviewed. Charles Martinet appears at the very beginning of the video helping apply the headset to the other actor. He also appears at the very end where I am shooting through the window.

  • @DigitalNeohuman That voice is me, Stevie Coyle. Charles and I were original members together of The San Jose Repertory Company and have been pals ever since. At the time he very generously brought me in to help fill 8+ hours per day at CES, and this featurelet was shot when I just happened to be wired up.

  • @StevieCoyleMusic Thanks so much for letting me know. I still remember filming this like it was yesterday and enjoyed meeting you. Hard to believe that was almost 20 years ago. I see from your youtube channel that you are also a talented musician. I hope others here check out your page. Take care.

  • @DigitalNeohuman I'll tell you what: 20 years does fly away - I don't believe I was about the age of 8 when I got my NES, and this year I will be 28 years old.

Thanks for sharing this video. It was really cool to see it.

  • @StevieCoyleMusic Is It Really You?

  • @DigitalNeohuman It's Stevie Coyle.

  • @DigitalNeohuman Mighty kind, DNH.

  • how does the flying mouse work? internal sensors?

  • FLYING MOUSE!!!!

  • So thats how the floating mario head works

  • 0 dislikes :)

  • OH MY GOD. THE FLOATING MARIO HEAD FROM MARIO TEACHES TYPING 2 HAS RETURNED.

  • @MamaLuigiBarrelRoll This was created before the typing game was created.

Common Nick Name = "Floating Mario Head"

Official Name = "Real Time Mario"

  • @MHMemeDoubleYourFun No way! Maybe this was brought back for the typing game!

  • @MamaLuigiBarrelRoll

This video was back in 1992. The CD version of Mario Teaches Typing that features "Real Time Mario" was released three years later in 1995.

  • @MHMemeDoubleYourFun Forget I said anything.

  • "Real Time Mario" and "Real Time Wario" were also used in preview booths seen in the electronic sections in department stores like Wal*Mart and K-Mart.

  • @1983parrothead omg when?

  • At 1:24 I started laughing so hard xD

  • For 1992, that's pretty incredible!

  • wow exelent video

  • Mario's voice is pretty awesome!

  • That's the exact same Mario Head from Mario Teaches Typing 2!!! 0.0 I wish I could control my own computerized Mario Head and make it do actions and make it say what I want :D That looks like so much fun

  • Man, having this huge, probably heavy helmet on his head, waving this 3-D mouse around, doing Super Mario improv for industry heads and visitors alike, Charles Martinet paid his dues to wind up with this posh job getting flown across the world to do voiceovers and get paid bundles to be the most recognizable voice in video games this side of "YOU WIN. PERFECT"

...You think he would like, heckle Tom Kalinske when he walked by?

  • SICK!

  • That Is BEAST!
