  • How did I get here from watching WWE

  • Pure Strength of Materials :D

    Pure Engineering :)

    Pure Nexus One ;)

  • They should have tested power button instead of trackball. And mayby a seal around the screen so the dust wouldn't get under it. When I exchanged my phone for having dust under screen HTC sent me another phone and power button completely died within 4 months. Now I have Sensation 4G and the power button is starting to stick. If you have a Sensation 4G and you phone keeps taking screen shots you power button is failing. The firmware update is not a fix rather a workaround.

  • nexus one : Ok ..Ok ok i'll talk ...i'll tell what am made of : S

  • Phone abuse! Someone should call the People for Ethical Treatment of Accessories

  • They should have used this for the advertising commercial!

  • I wish HTC still made the nexus phones

  • @bluesamg I would if they'd stop skimping on the ram D:

  • made from aluminum

  • Taiwan - You really do know how to make a phone ;) In all serious this video is like an advert for Taiwan, and specifically HTC, they should totally show this video to the Chinese, teach emm a thing or two on quality!

  • @lysw25 no nexus one was the best phone In 2010.

  • N1 is the best phone in 2010

  • I have an HTC phone

    (DROID INCREDIBLE)

    :)

  • If every htc phone is tested like this.... than why is my screen crscked??

  • Can someone tell me thus soundtrack name?

  • They need to make another Nexus One, with an optical trackpad and I'm sold. Oh...and sell it to Sprint this time por favor :-)

  • apple do this with iphone??

  • @Herickberto if apple did so, iphone 4 wouldn't be released

  • @Intelcore2extreme

    yes, i agree... but

    what about the falls?

  • @Herickberto the epic "chemically strengthened" 'glass" that is "30 times harder than plastic" would cause iPhone 4 being heavily delayed or not even being released

  • I don't see them testing the power button. All my friends' smartphone are having power button issues

  • Bend test was scarrryyyy :(

  • So through all this why are there a million stories about the Nexus One's mysterious cracking screens.. or 20cm drops? Not hating on the phone, I want one but, really. Why..

  • 2:10 yellow button: SUCKER!!! Mobile got pwnd

  • should have test to simulate lifetime use of the power button.

  • Comment removed

  • I would have never risked any of these for my phone....

  • testing

  • @fafeifa yeah \.. my power button just died out on me a day ago.. its sad... its a shame such a great phone has a flaw like this one

  • Ahh this pains me to watch!

  • Is there a PETA for phones?

  • funny how some people say this is a fake test, ya like there gona spend thousands of dollars on testing equipment just to FAKE TEST, hydrolysis, computers, software, equipment, testing space, employees, obviously you know nothing about a manufacturing business environment

  • @Antbusk haha yeah

  • they clearly haven't tested the power button, i've went through my 3rd phone such a shame.

  • This makes me feel a bit more secure about dropping my N1. (Yes I've been terrified the accelerometer would be toast)

    Thanks for posting.

  • and soft lint put a CRACK on my screen?

  • This is really SAW for a phone

  • N1: hey! that tickles..

  • I would stick Justin Beiber in one of those tests.

  • what the fuck. . .icredible. . .

  • @1.49 makes me cringe... don't do that to it!

  • Google stole Nexus from me and my friends

  • poor phone...

  • Uhhhh... my friend dropped his Nexus One the other night. He's not very happy. Screen = Shattered... So sad!

  • Just me, or do someone else feel bad for the phone?

I got a HTC Desire, hoping that the screen wont scratch too easily.

  • no wonder the metal casing is strong enough... i would be more satisfied if you drop the phone in the same force with the screen faced downwards and show us if there are any cracks... i am always quite worried about that big glass screen ... and fully confident on the other parts.. any one have experience dropping the phone and still have the screen intact?

  • I really feel sorry for these phones who had to go through this torture. R.I.P to all those Google Nexus Ones that didnt survive the test :(

But you got to admit, music is epic =D

  • Comment removed

  • I have a feeling Apple don't do this to their iphone.

  • LOL iPhone i going down if they make a better 1 of thwese

  • Seeing the Nexus One get tortured like that made my Nexus One shiver

  • Watching the bend test makes me cringe for some reason.

  • I want this prototype phone! it is just way fuxking better than the one out in the market

  • My nexus1 screen went completely black after the first and only drop. The screen touched the ground first unlike these fake tests they claim they do.

  • @lehphyro same thing here and now they want to charge me to fix it....

  • Where your iPhone 4 now?

  • @devixvip This is something that Apple never does to the iPhone. The iPhone would fail these tests.

  • @Cozybop thx, cap!

  • damn.....I can't watch dis again!! XD

  • did you know that Google owns Youtube ?

  • Its kinda sad to see such an awesome phone treated like that :x

  • compression and bend tests.. they look scary..

anyway I love my nexus one :)

  • Auutsch!

  • sex chamber xDxDxDXDxDxD

  • Don't know why but this episode creeps me out....... :D

  • its cool that they did these tests, but all this does is mean higher expenses for the consumer. i mean we can just buy a case rather than risk dropping and breaking it.

also what do they do with all the "tested" phones. ill take one if you guys just have some hidden nexus one dumpster somewhere

  • Go check out my latest rooted nexus one videos, 2 videos added today, I show you how to use ADOBE FLASH on my videos, you wont regret it, might as well sub if you like to get the latest goodies as they come to your nexus one, or simply if you are wondering how amazing the phone can be, on the hands of a real user and not these other reviewers that make the phone seem so dull and plain.

  • ooh Kewl

  • i dunno if it's just me...but the bend test made me want to cry

  • this is TECHNOLOGY TORTURE!!!

  • sure it can withstand a fall, but they didnt show the dents it gets....i dropped mine while it was in the pouch, and it just happened to land on the bottom part, where the pouch doesnt protect :( and it got a little dent on the bottom right :'( so i bought a case yesterday! :)

  • Dios mio que video con mas buen gusto!!

  • The drop at 2:16 looked kinda fake...just saying...

  • Brilliant

  • its like a phone sex chamber

  • @shuuushii That's what i was thinking! I think you could pleasure a girl the same way this phone was tested.

  • @shuuushii lmao

  • I've never wanted a phone so bad! Geeze, my G1 is ancient news now! A relic!

  • lol apparently they didnt test it enough nigahiga broke his the first time he dropped it XD WIN

  • and yet when gizmodo (or maybe engadget?) had a mysteriously cracked screen HTC told them not to put it in their pockets.... wtf?

  • doesnt this mean that when we get the phone its gonna be all tested and may be damaged

and if anyone says they can just give us the ones that havent been tested, then why the hell would they test it?

  • @RyoushiMasurao They don't test every single one, ya troll.

  • @RyoushiMasurao its not gonna be damaged

  • @RyoushiMasurao No, from a batch of newly made nexus ones, they take one at random and preform the tests to see if the new phones are up to par

  • @Tafheemwii what if the some of the other ones are defective?

  • @RyoushiMasurao Well each batch is made in identical conditions, so the chances of this happening is microscopic

I like the Nexus one hardware, but its Android OS is where it really shines

  • @RyoushiMasurao

Tough shit, turn it in for a new one, they will give it to you for free. You aren't very bright are you?

  • @RyoushiMasurao dude your retarded.

its all based on statistics. you take a sample from the population and test it

  • ftw

  • I don't believe this. Didn't Ryan Higa BREAK his nexus phone with just one drop?

  • Wat about WATER!?!?!? never thought of that hah?

  • I dont like the Nexus One , Motorola Droid & Backflip & Devour PWN!

  • What I'm wondering, is who gets these phones? I highly doubt that all the ones who survived the test are just disposed of.

  • @CaptainBorris at uwt theres a class for the nexus one for computer science majors to mess around with the programing and stuff my friend is in that class lol

  • they should play hot potato with it and see if it breaks, i think that would be better

  • markus092695 i'm sorry, is this video not instructional? here i set up an elaborate dropping station, and bought a helper monkey just to push the button over and over again. are you suggesting that i free the helper monkey?

  • good to know they throw away all that shit when there done testing like the phones didnt make enough waist gata throw in some custom fabricated test machines too yeah A+ i totally want that phone now.. not.

  • does it have a glass screen?

  • the music gets so annoying

  • rhe second drop test looks SOOOO fake with its lighting.

  • Where is the FIRE TEST? I bet this Nexus one won't last 5 seconds!! HAHAHA

  • Lol, watch the drop test at 2:10. It is faker than a pornstar's boobs.

  • @Jpelley1994 I've seen these phone's being tested. It's not fake. All phone manufacturers complete these tests.

  • i was wondering, how o they ship off the phones after they test em, i mean, do they test a few then ship off a batch or do they ship off the tested ones or what, cuz technically not all of em cud h=be perfect then -_-

  • @Krane157 well there will always be lemons but the way they are mass produced as long as a few out of x amount of phones pass inspection its safe to say they are all high quality

  • how come nigahiga's nexus one broke so easily

  • I Wonder If The Machine Was Used Once in a Porno. :o

  • FAKE AND GAY...

  • fingering machine ROFL

  • who the hell really wants to see this lame ass shit? just give me the phone and shutup.

  • this is unethical.

  • I get goosebumps every time I see this phone bending/falling...

  • they should make "Hammer Smashing Test with 10lbs" If thats ok, I will definitely buy it. =D

  • This was almost painful to watch...lol. I really want one of those phones now, even if it failed in that testing process.

  • Google doesn't Piss Me Off can't believe it

  • i want to see real people talk

  • Go check out my rooted nexus one vids fellas, make sure you sub for future ones.

  • this video makes me wanna cry, all those beautiful nexus ones being abused...

but at least with all this testing means we get warranties and stronger phones.

  • @vexx506 Lol it made me cry too ; Yea true indeed!

  • why was it running android 1.6 in all the tests where you could see the screens?

  • all the phones they wasted and they could have given one to me

  • Hey when your done testing can i have it?

  • this video was bad ass hahah

  • im geting epilepsy from this so called " music "

  • The music makes it almost unbearable

  • my question is why do you need a machine to drop something? o.O

  • @friskyisfat hahahahaha, good point :D

  • @friskyisfat Consistent heights and speeds

  • @friskyisfat human error, machines have more precise measurements.

  • @friskyisfat, because it needs to be mesured, it has to be droped from the exact same height as the other phones to compare.... how well one design does over another ... from the same distance/speed

  • @friskyisfat I'm guessing it's used to be more percise, then again it's a waist of money

  • @friskyisfat So they can control exactly how hard they drop it and easily reproduce it.

  • @friskyisfat Because the drops are repeatable so that you can analyse the drop even.

  • @friskyisfat a machine is required to drop it at a precise angle and distance.

  • [fast thuds]

  • 0:54 - Damn, that phone can bounce!

  • HTC FTW!!!!!!

  • I dropped by phone today on tiles, nothing happened. I'm quite happy with my phone.

  • Hello? Best job ever! :D

  • How many did you guys destroy

  • This video is complete and utter B.S., particularly the part where the phone's being theoretically dropped. I just dropped this phone ONCE. One single time. In a case. Onto a linoleum table 2 feet down.

The entire screen shattered. HTC told somebody else that you're not supposed to carry these in pockets (in direct contrast to what this video says).

My iPhone lasted almost 4 years. If AT&T weren't crap, I'd go right back to it. Don't get this phone unless you never plan to drop it.

  • @liquidiglooo why would you buy a phone for 500 bucks and drop it

  • GO iPhone! i love my iPhone it dosent have not one scratch and i drop it alot and i have no case for it no cracks no scratches nothing

  • Shows how much HTC cares about the quality, unlike Apple since my iPhone has barely stood a little drop and I bet it couldn't survive that.

  • do they really need a high tech machine to drop a phone?

  • @bucketheadfn I doubt a person would want to drop a phone for a while, so of course they had to make a machine for it.

  • @sportc410 yah but a person still has to pick up the phone and place it on the thing

  • I'm amazed with these phones they are indestructible but it looks like torture looking at these tests... well it's like a training for a life time of torture. Once I become an adult I'd give my child this phone when (s)he is like 10 years old

  • and he was trolling.........

  • I like this video

  • why cant companies treat other products like this..-_- one drop for my psp =dead :) sony FTL.

  • Because most companies want the cheapest solution...

  • @MyTACOBURRITO internet slang FTW

  • sigh there is no nexus two u fools

  • there is if uve seen the variables on the core apis on the google nexus ones sdk

  • i wish apple would've done drop test...my iphone screen cracked on drop.....what a crap!

  • im sure the Nexus Two will be better

  • When does the Nexus Two comes?

  • i think it may be the motorola shadow

  • it will but if its close to the m shadow its gonna be pretty ugly. i would jot dare carry that thing arounf not even if it runs i7 mini 9.8ghz pp and has 100G speeds of p to 16million mbps uplink and downlink

  • Youve been reported for abuse of these phones

  • dumbass u dont have the authority get a life

  • Looks a lot tougher than my iphone lol

  • n1 ftw

  • must be really hard to push those buttons

  • do u even have one of these?

  • @MunchinMo The hydraulic devices that drop and break the phone? Nope I don't have one of those( an I meant the buttons on those, because it's hard to break a phone like that).

  • no the actual phone

  • @MunchinMo No. It's in my options along with HD2 and X10.

  • can i have one?? ... :D

  • does anyone actually use the track ball?

  • @sensangsun

yes, for scrolling through the letters of text

  • @7Slate and for easy use in replacement of touchscreens for games that requiree precision. damn u society and all u inferior touchscreens

  • i do on my game site i need a kouse not a touchscreen flash yay its not gay or ill annialate u

  • they made this phone indestructable but cant fight against water :P
