I liked Martha as a companion. She was my favourite. It's just a shame that so far no pairing of Doctor and Companion seems to last longer than one season.

Look at it this way... i was glad about the ending for series 3...Martha became a stronger character than Rose or Donna....which has made her come back many times..Martha has appeared more frequently in the series and in Torchwood...Rose and Donna has pretty much been written off...

Well, also... I do not argue that Martha is a strong character. But she's a lot easier to bring back, as she left of her own free will. Donna and Rose require a whole lot of a loopholes...

BUT I do suppose the fact that she even did leave of her own free will is enough of a testament to her character.
