  • "was there a witness to let then let him speak to the javert" lol just noticed he said that

  • This kid is one of the best Gavroches I've seen! He's hilarious.

You can tell Eponine is an understudy - she's fine but not particularly good. I really like the rest of the cast though. I wish I had something to trade for the full version; alas, I'm too old and all my old bootlegs are on VHS - and have deteriorated significantly. Alas.

  • You said you weren't sure who is playing Gavroche. It's James Buckley :)

  • James is an a-m-a-z-i-n-g Gavroche. I totally cracked up in Little People, and his death scene is awesomly good. The whole cast is awesome!

  • I LOVE this Marius! It's so nice to see someone play the role a bit differently! You can really believe how good a friend he is to 'Ponine

  • love Tom Lucas! he's my new favourite! So good!

  • do you have master of the house?

  • I'm inclined to agree that this Gavroche is exceptionally good. Despite expectations, most of the professionally recorded versions of Look Down on here have Gavroches with great voices, but can't act, or they're so young that they're already bored with the role, and therefore don't have enough energy. However, one of my old teachers always told me details are what make the differences between a mediocre performance and a magnificent one. This Gavroche attends to details.

  • When I imagined the motions (folding hands at the word 'piety', ect. ect.) that went with Gavroche's part, I always thought they'd look just like this. Before this, I'd never seen a recorded play. It was so cool to see my imagination kinda brought to life. And, this Gavroche is insanely good as far as his expression and voice go as well. I also really like the foggy, haunting atmosphere.

  • Gavroche is James Buckley who is now in the comedy inbetweeners on E4!!

  • Gavroche was crazy good.

  • Tom Lucas makes my life :) ...he is my new favourite Marius.

  • I've seen Tom Lucas, and Michael Ball is the best hands down!

  • this is bloody amazing! :) pretty damn marvy! :)

  • BEST GAVROUCHE EVER!!!!!

  • is thenardier an understudy in this or something surely hes not the actuali thenardier coz hes shit

  • Nope, he's the actual Thernardier, understudies were only for Eponine, Enjorlas, and Cosette. And for a worse Thernardier see Stephen Tate (there is a video of him up on youtube)

  • Whats even worse is the current Thernardier can't act and his understudy is amazing.

  • @musicgirl4ever1 Martin Ball? MARTIN BALL? He's amazing in my opinion! And yet, in January I was seriously looking forward to seeing him again, and I got the crappy Mark Hedges. He was AWFUL!

  • @SailorYavin I actually like Cameron Blakely. Did you know he was Slimeball (Bambatious or whatever his name is) at the 25th Anniversary at the O2?

  • @br4robbo Just seen Cameron Blakely playing Thernardier at the Queens theatre in London and he was amazing along with Alfie Boe as Valjean and the rest of this awesome cast I dont beleive you will ever see a better cast assembled for Les Mis.

  • John Stacey does a good job here! Thanks for posting!

  • THANKS SOO MUCH 4 uploading this! :)

  • gavroche was good

  • who was that young cosette?? was that john owen johns too???

  • the enjorlas has got an interestin voice!!lol tom lucas is a awesome marius!

  • I love how great JOJ is with kids!

  • Sweet! I love this song!!!! Where did you record this?? I'm so sad it went off broadway! I haven't seen it yet!

  • This was from London 1999. (I wasn't the one to record it)

  • This is amazing! Tom Lucas does such a delightful job as Marius :D

  • please post all your joj videos they are so awesome

  • what was thrown to Marius at about 2:30?

  • I'm not sure but it looks like a hat.

  • @Broadwaymusialzz its a bit of paper

  • Thank you so much! I love Tom Lucas as Marius!

    I don't like eponine's acting thought.

Too clowny and agresive for my taste...
