Robin Wytchvox's voice was unbelievable! I got chills just listening to her! And Caitlin brought a sensual edginess to the Phantom song that I've ALWAYS heard...she brought a vibe that said, "what if Christine gave in to her secret love for Erik the Phantom"? It's a very "persephone-in-the-underworld" story, really--and I've always preferred Erik's primal wildness to Raoul's super-shallow "civility."

@JoeyisDREADful ha ha thank you. yes the darker the better... no I taught myself, and mostly on electric too - the internet is an incredibly powerful tool you can find out pretty much everything you need to know to get going  - the only person who can tell you 'you can't' is you..

How different is the electric violin from the standard(?) one?

@centaurette80 Its much heavier and clearly is lacking a body, so it's a bit odd to hold at first. I play violin, both electric and normal (depending on the circumstance of course) so I swear I know what I'm talking about. I find it takes a little more bow pressure and finger pressure to get the right note. It is also a lot heavier, feels really odd at first.

violin was AWESOME!!! to be honest it would have sounded better without the singer.

@JulianaCollier At first, I thought the same. However, singing in open air like that with only one microphone to record your voice makes things really difficult. Even really beautiful and clear voices sounds like trash in poor recording situations. Listen close, and you can even hear her own echo and her voice at the same time. This isn't a good situation to judge vocals on.

Overall, they both did amazing and the recording still is at least above average considering everything.

this is an awesome remix, and the girl singing has an awesome range... I think its the whole "live performance" thing that's not working so much for her, but hell, my voice would shake if I sang Phantom of the Opera in front of a huge crowd so i can't say much haha
