  • Promow gang reels, for the ground driven manual mowers, those are probably one of the best to get as far as good cutting and ease of maintainence. I have a smaller version of the same reel from the company that supplies Promow with their reels. Mind you, I'm referring to the GOLD series, not the residential style based on that God-awful 5 bladed unit like the majority of reel mowers you see in most hardware stores.

  • lol you should find an old Allis-Chalmers Electric Motor to put in it!

  • awesome!

  • Beautiful job. We will be working on conversion of a Tuff-bilt. You set the bar pretty high. Thanks for the videos.

  • I have uploaded another video detailing how I fit everything under the original sheet metal.

  • Very nice conversion! I like how you have maintained the original motor covers. Do you have any details or pics of the framework for the batteries and controls that you could share. Our ministry farm is getting ready to do a conversion and this is the best I have seen. Thanks.

  • The motor was made by Advanced DC Motors, Inc and is their model #A00-4009, described as: (24V - 72V) 2HP - 12HP. I purchased all electronic parts from Electric Vehicles of America, Inc.

  • very cool. what motor do you have in there?

  • Nice Chalmers
